I had an agonizing root canal situation--the kind that even hospital morphine couldn't touch. I was in absolute misery. On that particular Saturday, Dr. Winter offered to meet me at his office that very evening or even on the Sunday, just to help me get out of that excruciating pain. What's even more remarkable is that he was even ready to arrange for his staff to come in as well, making sure he and his team could take care of me outside of normal hours. It's incredibly rare to find a dentist willing to go so far above and beyond, especially outside regular hours, and to bring in extra help just to ensure a patient is okay. Dr. Winter not only resolved the issue, but did so with a level of kindness and compassion that is truly extraordinary. If you need a dentist who genuinely cares and will go the extra mile, Dr. Winter is the one.

Lower Right: Dr. Winter did not inform me that the bridge made by the lab was too long and didn't fit. Instead of returning it back to the lab, he proceeded with its installation by adjusting one of the existing teeth and slicing the side of another one without asking for my permission or even informing me. When the job was done, the bridge was sitting lower than the original teeth used to be, creating quite a visible gap with my upper teeth, and leaving me with pain, which I never had on this side before, and which he was not able to address despite many adjustments he made. The only response from him was: "Just avoid eating on this side." Common sense tells us that one doesn't go to a dentist to do a major work in order to acquire permanent pain. I would never recommend him as a dentist.

Dr. Chen and Dr. Wu are the only ones whose skills and knowledge match that bench mark. My family and I have been going to their clinic for over a decade; I have always been treated by Dr. Chen and my son has been treated by Dr. Wu. Their knowledge on anything related to dental health is incredible. It was Dr. Chen who told me that I grind my teeth in my sleep when no other dentist (several I have seen) noticed. Likewise, it was Dr. Wu who informed me that my son' teeth are slightly protruding and should be fixed to help with his breathing and proper functioning of his jaw. I would otherwise never have noticed (now that I can see the outcome of the treatment I can finally tell). Both Dr. Chen and Dr. Wu are continuing to learn, to educate themselves, improving on their knowledge, skills; this is based on my experiences, my observations and my conversation with them whenever I visit them. They are both observant, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. Whenever I have issues related with teeth or oral health, I know I have the best people to help me. I have recommended them to all my friends and colleagues. If you want high quality dental and oral care, this is the place.

One memorable experience: After I experienced some jaw pain, I came to see her to check things out. My teeth were all fine, so nothing she could do, but she suggested I go to a RMT who specializes in intra-oral massage. I had NEVER heard of this before, but I went to the specific RMT she mentioned and it was life changing. Seriously. After just one session, my jaw pain was gone. I was so relieved and grateful! If Dr Lee hasn't suggested that, I'm not sure what I would have done.

Why patient need gloves and why not keep my own mask? My teeth cleaning done in 45 minutes with X-rays and exam but guess what was the billing -- exam, 4 X-rays (bite one), 3.5 units for scaling and floride coat .. when I argued that it's over and illegal billing, apparently Dr Lee made the staff bill template and it's set. Everyone must bill 3.5 unit of scaling along with other procedures as a must.. is it legal? Or over billing? Shouldn't be it as work and time needed? It's about making more money

On your first visit to the office, you don't sit down in the dentist chair right away - instead Dr. Marshall takes you into his office and has a little "teeth chat" - he goes over any problems you've had in the past, worries/concerns you have, or hopes for the future. Yes, hopes for your teeth. Then you're ushered into the light and airy dental chair areas and get the inspections done by fantastic hygienists (Mel is awesome!) while getting a view of the North Shore mountains. They also have blankets for you if you ever feel chilly! They are very thorough - whenever you need work done, the dentists explain exactly what has happened, and the various courses of action that they can take to fix it. I've often sat in the chair with a hand mirror, while the dentist shows me something on my teeth or gums. Fascinating - these guys really love teeth. They are excellent dentists too - very precise with their work, and I've never had pain when they're working on my mouth! The only downside is that apparently they are on the expensive end of dentistry, but it's totally worth it for me to know that I have experts working on my teeth! However, if money's tight for you, ask them to do an insurance proposal for anything they plan on doing - so you know what you're getting into. The office is always happy to do that, and abide by my wishes! I have referred three of my friends to the Drs Marshall office and everyone has been happy with them too!
