Filthy and Unsafe. Hair all over shower. Dirty bedding that smelled like men's cologne. Also a huge gap in door that does not allow it to close properly. You can see into the room from the hallway and could easily break into room. read more

This is our third year staying at the Fairfield Inn for our gymnastics state meet. Every year we have been extremely happy with the customer service and the location! The staff is always very friendly and helpful and this is what truly has us coming back. The breakfast is quite decent and great selection of foods (eggs, waffles, bagels, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches etc). They do have a small workout room (weights , a couple treadmills and an elliptical ). Their pool is on the smaller side but is never crowded. Location wise, it is right by the adventure commons If you are there for a sporting event. The mall (which has a movie theater) is right across the parking lot along with a couple restaurants. If you are in the area for an event- I would recommend staying at the Fairfield Inn! read more

Spent a night here and found the hotel to be in great shape with a solid breakfast buffet and kind employees. Pool wasn't used, looked smaller but I'm sure would be good for the kiddies. Fitness room was a good size as well. read more

After staying here the second time we should have realized how horrible it is! The tub does not drain (which was the issue the last time we stayed) I am not packing my stuff up to stay in another hotel or room! Why because I came for a stress free weekend! We are here because of a family party and I promise I will never stay again! But to pack up a room just to move to another room is overwhelming! The breakfast was horrible the coffee was the worst ever! Only 1/2 n 1/2 creamer which normally I wouldn't care but come on! The food stuck to the bottom of the pan no butter it is just horrible! For the price we paid it's not worth it! The staff at tge don't counter have been great but the maintenance on this place is the worst I have seen!! I honestly can't wait to get back home! This stay here has made me sick to my stomach I have to go to a family member's house to shower because I feel so dirty after my shower! Not ok! read more

Pretty nice place, walking distance to Cracker Barrel or the mall. There is a theater in the mall (which appears to be dying) but has lots of very nice stores. The free breakfast was very good, better than most hotels. Jowee and Jerry (both ladies that work there) were fantastic ambassadors of the Fairfield Inn. Their work ethic and love for their job really shows. Jowee was constantly on the move in the breakfast area, cleaning tables, removing dirty plates, refilling replenished items in the serving area. Please don't forget to tip these hard working people! Jerry was a huge help in so many ways, too. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms were your average hotel rooms, but it was nice and quiet, elevators always worked and arrived quickly, beds were comfortable and the water temps weren't moody. read more

Nice quiet clean and the staff was pretty nice and Brittany was exceptionable nice and friendly I had a great stay the only thing that I could say would be that some meat added to the breakfast menu would be nice some bacon or some sausage and maybe some flavored Greek yogurt instead of just plain and as far as cream cheese spread maybe some flavored cream cheese spread it would be nice and some oatmeal but overall it was good and I would stay there again read more

Love this hotel! The updated decor and bed linens make it a great stay, and the free hot breakfast is an awesome bonus. Right next to Cracker Barrel and directly across from the mall and Hidden Cove Sports Complex (and a myriad of other things to do in Kankakee County, IL within walking distance...steps actually). The indoor pool area is nice. I recommend signing up for the free Marriott Rewards program, you can get free nights and other offers...it's one of the perks that keeps us coming back. (They also make you feel super special and put you on the welcome board if you're a member :) read more

This place is definitely one of the better hotels in the area... Great notable customer service, very competitive prices (note the price varies depending on room availability on the day you stay, if you book that day). There's a terrific decent sized updated complementary breakfast area. The rooms are clean and large with comfortable mattress and pillows, there's a decent sized flatscreen TV, toiletries, in-room coffee maker (the old drip kind), pretty much everything basic a traveler needs... with the exception of a fitness room... they only have a pool (if no fitness room is okay, then this is the place to stay)... it's a great place to stay and I recommend it, but bring your swimming suit instead of your exercise clothes. read more

I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff here, customer service is excellent and are always smiling =] I love that about Marriott hotels. The only thing I didn't like is that there's no workout facility, that's one of the things I really look forward to when I'm traveling for business. read more

Sorry Folks, while Marriott has some fine hotels, this Fairfield just doesn't do it for me. Fairfield Inn is the economy end of the Marriott family. I had a hard time warming up to it. Breakfast nook is tiny and limited to continental items (unless you count the damn waffle machine a hot breakfast). Room is narrow and is minimalistic, no fridge, no microwave. Hated the desk lamp I had to work with, it was worse than useless. Pool was this shitty litte wading pool. Ice and vending machine are all on the first floor (I was on the third). Finally, they decided to clean the carpets during my stay, which meant for at least one night, I had to stay in a room with soggy carpets. All this for 110 bucks a night. The neighboring Comfort Suites would have been nicer at half the price. read more

This is a perfectly serviceable hotel next to a dying shopping mall, but right off Interstate 57 an hour south of Chicago. We stayed here for a few nights when we had to vacate our home while resurfacing our wood floors. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and there were no complaints. The hot breakfast was just fine, and there's a good casual Italian restaurant next door. In short: this is everything you need in a limited service hotel in the Kankakee area. Book it. read more

Great clean place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff are always available and the continental breakfast is excellent! The pool is a bit small but is well maintained. Conveniently located near the expressway, the mall, and many restaurants. read more

Returned from vacation to some broken pipes from the cold. So checked into local hotels. Booked online and received a great rate for my stay. Spacious up to date rooms, quiet, comfortable bed, good breakfast, and most importantly an EXCELLENT attentive staff! read more

The hotel is clean and the staff is nice. However, the staff and guests think it is ok for 5 year olds to run up and down the hall screaming. I was on a business call and this happened. When I called down to the front desk, all the desk clerk did was make excuses. I am a Hilton diamond member and thought I would give Marriott a shot again. This would never have been acceptable at a Hilton property. So I guess if you have small children and you allow this kind of behavior, then this hotel is for you. Very disappointed read more

I visit the Bradley area because I don't have a choice. But what makes my visits less like drudgery is staying here. It's surprisingly nice for the area. The gym is well equipped, the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is always accommodating and nice plus the breakfast is fresh and well thought out. I've been stuck in other hotels in the area and this one is the best. I won't stay anywhere else while I'm there, not even with family. :). read more

My husband and I were traveling and stopped here for overnight after reading the reviews. Extremely clean. Really clean. Front desk personnel was amazing. The only noise we heard was people above us but once they went to sleep all was quiet. Good location as there are several restaurants near. Also easy off and easy on interstate. The outside needs a redo but inside is fine. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just clean. read more

Just Awesome !!!!!!!!! Super Clean !!!! inside and out . Modern and up to date rooms . Super friendly , super price , very nice "free breakfast Selection of food " couldn't ask for anything better. When you call to make the reservation you actually speak to one of the front desk employees , instead of 1- 800 number . read more

So I must admit I was a little skeptical about staying here at first. I have stayed at some smaller hotels and the results were always a bit mixed. We needed a place to stay for Christmas Eve so we decided to pick this place. Even though there was no shopping going on because we were done it was nice to know that it was close to the mall and plenty of restaurants. When we came into the lobby we were promptly greeted by a very friendly young lady. The lobby was clean well organized and quite welcoming. She told us about all the amenities that came with the room which included free Internet free cable and access to the pool and hot tub. One thing I thought was really cool was that after 10 PM children weren't allowed in the pool or hot tub so it's adult time. (Aw snap!) The room was very clean and quite comfortable although it did have a slight smell of someone that had smoked in there before. The bathroom was also kept up and clean. I know that sounds like something minor but you may be surprised at how many bad bathrooms I have seen. About the only thing I can say that I did not like was that housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:30 AM. Our check out was at 12 PM and we requested a late check out to boot. They also came again around 11:15. That was a little annoying. Other than that the stay at the Fairfield was pretty good. Thumbs up! read more

Great hotel. Pool was very clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean and air conditioning in room worked great. Would definitely stay here again read more

We stayed here in December for 3 nights. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean. They were doing some renovated, but they informed of the crews hours, and made sure no one was on that floor. They had a nice breakfast. They provided the local paper besides the USA Today. They gave us recommendations on where to shop and where to eat. My Mom had just died, and I appreciated their compassion. Thanks to everyone there. read more

Very nice hotel. Doesnt have a work out facility though. Breakfast is decent. Rooms are nice. Felt like a nice and safe environment.

I stay a few times a month for work. I continue to be disappointed by the lack cleanliness of the rooms. I have started to carry my own bleach wipes to clean the bathroom and a hand held vacuum for the floor to spot vacuum where I will be walking in the room. I borrowed the vacuum from the front desk one time and it was so old and didn't pick anything up when I brought it to my room to vacuum. It wasn't surprising the rooms always have dirt on the floors from the looks and performance of the vacuum. I have pulled the covers back and had hair in the bed more than once and had to switch rooms. There are drink spots on the bedside tables that may be stained, not sure. I complain each time but it doesn't change so I stopped complaining and clean myself. It hasn't changed in the almost year that I've stayed here intermittently. Rooms are warn and not being maintained well. Night staff when I come in are nice and want to help but unfortunately they are the only staff member on duty and can't help with house keeping issues because they can't leave the front desk. The upside?? There is SO much room for improvement!!! read more

We stayed here for about a week, and it was great. The hotel is clean, quiet and the beds are comfortable. The front desk people are awesome. We had driven over 12 hours when we checked in, and also had no clean clothes left. I asked the front desk clerk about a laundry room and he said they didn't have one, but offered to wash our clothes for me. I was traveling with a 1 and 3 year old and very much needed clean clothes. He was an angel! When we go back to Bradley, and we will, we will stay at this hotel because of the customer service. read more

Rooms were wonderful, breakfast was great, fantastic. That is why they get 3 stars. Without the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast this would be a 1 star rating..... Came for the kids to play in the pool. After 20 minutes in the pool and 5 minutes (at the most) in the hot tub the kids began coughing so bad that I took them out in the hall to get air. As a nurse I know that it was to much Chlorine in the hot tub. They felt better and went back in the pool. 5 minutes later they were coughing up a storm, as were 4 other kids in the pool area, a total of 9 kids coughing all at the same time. My throat began to itch. I made my group (after a max of only 30 minutes) leave the pool area. After taking a shower, all the kids were fine. When we went to the front desk to tell them, they insisted that the pool was saline (salt water) and not chlorine. But he didn't know about the hot tub. If I was not a nurse, those kids could of had alot of damage to their throats and lungs with the amount of chlorine that they use in the hot tub. DON'T LET YOUR KIDS NEAR IT! I will be sending a formal complaint to the hotel manager. An all night fun at the pool turned into 30 minutes, then playing in the room and watching movies. I could of done that at home!! read more
