Located off the main road next to what I believe used to be an active mall. Chocolate chip cookies and water to greet you upon arrival. The location looks freshly renovated, and the staff were kind, courteous, and helpful with any questions. The room was clean and spacious, with hot water readily available, but it ran out in the middle of my short shower. My only complaint would be that I'm not sure why Hilton insists on having countertops and showers for tall people, and then finds the shortest toilet stools available, where your knees are by your ears. read more

Hampton Inn Bourbonnais Kankakee - King room - Hotels Near Me - Bourbonnais, Illinois

I stayed here in December on a visit to our sister company. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I don't have any complaints. read more

This hotel is better than the Holiday Inn next door. Modern, big rooms, clean. But the beds are extremely hard; feels like you're sleeping on a wood plank. I don't normally have issues w/ mattresses, but this one was very hard. Also, ac/heater is extremely loud. Sounds like a freight train every time it turns on. Woke me up every single time throughout the night. I saw other reviewers have commented on this as well, so I guess it wasn't just a broken one in my room. Really annoying. read more

Nothing...,will never stay here! The power went out 60 minutes into my stay. It was going to be another 1.5 hours until the utility company could come out. I asked for a refund--I had not even opened a bar of soap. I used nothing and was there one hour. They refused. Said it was an act of God. No AC, could not see anything in the room. No power so could not run electric. I would be better off sleeping in my car. I had no choice but to leave and find another hotel. read more

We chose this hotel for it's cleanliness rating, and we were NOT disappointed!! When I walked in, our receptionist was cleaning the dining room floor. Osauna came and checked us in, and we felt very welcomed to the hotel. Osauna was excellent, Osauna was wonderful, and I hope you guys appreciate Osauna! This staff member was working hard EVERY SINGLE TIME that I walked downstairs, and I'm a smoker so that's a lot! PRO PRO PRO: the bathroom had more than just 1 shampoo, conditioner, and soap!!!! I'm a woman with 3 teenage daughters and we'd all been traveling all day. They paid attention. We were given room 418, and it was roomy-perhaps partially because it was an accessible room-and clean!!! It's directly off the elevator, but thanks to the door you can't hear any vending machine noises, and we couldn't hear the elevator. Walking into the room we immediately noticed how spacious it was-with 2 queen beds that's saying a lot! We also noticed the art work and other color pops that accented the room. The beds were comfy, the sheets white as snow, and the bathroom looked fresh with the shower curtains gathered neatly. CON: pool & hot tub were closed. I recommend this hotel, thanks to the service & cleanliness. I'll stay for the free breakfast ! read more

Pillows uncomfortable as I'm finding at most Hamptons. AC / Heater incredibly loud. Woke me up at least ten times per night. Coffee area ran out of cups and coffee quality has gone down hill. Food quality is included breakfast is very very low. read more

If I could rate zero stars, I would. We booked two queen rooms a week prior to our stay to meet with family from out of state for a holiday get-together. At the time of booking, I called the hotel to ensure we could get connecting rooms so my daughters could easily hang out with their cousin they rarely see. We were told no problem at that time and we went about our merry way looking forward to the trip to Bourbonnais. When calling Saturday morning on our way to the hotel, we were met with an incredibly rude front desk worker who could have easily apologized and been professional about it, but instead tried to make my wife out to be a liar and someone who was confused about what we were told when we called a week prior to ensure our rooms were connecting, and the conversation ended with the worker hanging up on my wife, which was incredibly unprofessional. This entire situation could have easily been worked past with a simple "we're sorry we could not accommodate your request, please let us know how we can make your stay a good experience". Instead, the front desk worker doubled down on her rudeness and general lack of customer service. Dealing with her at check-in was arguably the worst human interaction experience I have had in many years. She was incredibly rude, and also not accurate when trying to check us into our room and tried putting us in a king room where the booking was clearly for two queen rooms. When we asked for clarification, she again just continued to be rude and act like someone who should not work in a customer facing role. Interacting with her ruined our entire experience and weekend as I lost a lot of sleep because I was so taken back by her general attitude and lack of customer service. After the trip, I called to speak with the manager about my experience and was promptly hung up on by the same front desk worker when I asked to speak with the manager. I then followed up with an email to the manager explaining my horrible experience and was once again ignored. Unfortunately, it appears the management of the hotel matches the poor attitude of the workers we dealt with. I highly recommend you spare yourself the stress of staying here and book elsewhere. I will never stay in another Hampton Inn after this experience. read more

This a very clean and nice hotel. The gym is great, nice coffee and breakfast as well. The staff are fantastic- super kind and really awesome all around. However the floors are paper thin and it made it impossible to get proper sleep. read more

A wonderful experience at a better run Hampton Inn. I stay at many Hampton Inn's and most are great and this was no exception. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was great and breakfast was good. Check-in/out was fast while staff make you feel appreciated. This Hampton Inn is also in a good location. I would certainly stay here again. read more

The hotel staff did not consistently follow IDPH guidelines regarding wearing masks inside . One morning the front desk staff was observed talking to the housekeeper who did not have mask on. The front desk staff also had her mask pulled down. They were not practicing social distancing either. The hotel is near restaurants and in a nice area that's a plus. read more

Checked in for 2 nights. Our room was for a King with a sofa so we'd have room for our daughter in her pack n play, but we were given a queen double. It would've been nice to have been told that the pool isn't available due to COVID and neither is hot breakfast. We picked this hotel for those two reasons specifically for our 19 month old as it was advertised during booking, the hotel had a hot breakfast and a pool, no restrictions on either. Our carpet smells of urine, but other than that the room was nice and clean. The staff seemed pleasant. I don't think it was worth $296 for 2 nights especially when we booked a king. read more

I recently stayed in one of your rooms while the power was off in my home. The bed was comfy the room was clean and the people were friendly. I then spent two more nights while I was recovering from minor surgery to be near family that was in town visiting. The staff was very accommodating to all our needs. I would not have any problems recommending this establishment. read more

The customer service of the reservation line is the only thing saving this place from getting zero stars. From the very beginning of our stay we have been met with resistance for truly just existing. We did not arrive until 11pm cst to find the second door locked to the lobby and we had to ring reception to be let in. That was fine and understandable except over 10 mins of pressing the call button later, no one had yet to answer or let us enter. It was a out 15-20mins before we were finally let in to reception. Then the following morning my room gets a call around 11:30am asking if we had a child running around in our room. I'm sorry but one, none of your business, two quiet hours are no longer in force, three since when has walking around a reason to call a room. Also, I should add no there wasn't a child running around. Then we had an issue just trying to relax and have fun at the pool. Apparently kids and parents are not allowed to relax and enjoy using the facilities. One worker rudely and barely came into the pool area to tell us that food and drinks were not allowed in the pool area which caught all of us in there off guard. A while later after all eating and drinking was done after the first announcement a second worker even more rudely and this time very confrontational came in to tell us we couldn't be in there with the stuff. Everything was empty and we were just waiting to leave and take our things with us. However this did not sit well with the worker and she became confrontational with another guest. Never in my life have I stayed somewhere where the staff made it feel like we were a total burden to them and that we have to walk on egg shells just to make sure we don't get another phone call about walking. Heaven forbid, we have togo to the bathroom. read more

I will start out by being positive... The hotel is very clean and updated in terms of being modern. However, the staff is incredibly rude and argumentative. On more than one occasion, they harassed our party at the pool because we had a bottle of water and or a package of candy at the table. They claimed it was an Illinois state law to not have food in the pool area but when I called other competitor hotels in the area, they all confirmed that it is not. It may be a hotel policy for this particular location, but that is all. On another note, when we first checked in, we were told that the swimming pool would be closed and I complained due to the fact that we had an entire Gymnastics team coming for the weekend. It shouldn't have to take a Diamond customer complaining to take their business elsewhere for them to decide to open up the pool. Bottom line up front, the pool was in fact, opened Friday evening. All in all, this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a staff at a Hilton. I have opened a formal complaint, and I am confident the corporate office will compensate us for this inconvenience. I typically only leave positive comments because I think too many people are negative... But I couldn't let this one pass by. Someone needs to be aware of the problem with staff attitudes so they can correct the behavior. read more

I stayed here for 2 weeks during the Christmas holidays. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Jason the employee who set up the breakfast in the mornings was awesome. He always greeted you with a "Good Morning" and a smile. He is definitely an asset to your team! With that said, the breakfast was a typical but very tasty continental style breakfast and was well laid out by Jason with everything kept tidy and clean. The rooms were very clean and modern with plenty of plugs for your devices. The only negative I have about the room is the heavy barn style door for the bathroom entry. My wife opened it in the wrong place and it jammed her finger against the wall trim. Nothing serious but just a sore finger for a couple of days. I would recommend adding a handle to the door to make it easier to open. The little cut out handle is not that good for door that size, IMO. Other than that the hotel was great and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable place to stay for a good price. read more
