Google The main website does NOT mention the pool is currently closed nor does the "pool" ammentity tab. Apparently, the pool closure is listed at the very bottom of the reservation page, but I just clicked through the booking button without scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page UNDERNEATH the booking button when I made my reservation. This was an overnight stay for my daughter's birthday who was looking forward to the pool. I called x 3 and couldn't get anyone, and when someone finally answered, I was informed they would not refund my prepaid stay because "it is clearly marked on the landing page that the pool is under renovation" which is false if you go to the hotel website. I was offered a free stay to use within "3 months or maybe a year" and told this info would be emailed to me, which I still haven't received. Very disappointed. read more

A friend had booked a room and gifted it to me, as her plans changed last minute. I gotta say, she phoned the front desk, said I was her husband and would be checking in before her. The Front Desk person (Imran) greeted me on arrival, as though I was HIS family member - warm, friendly, accommodating, caring, etc. I gotta say, the room was updated, everything worked well. (I have been in too many hotels recently, where the toilet leaked, the bathtub dripped, but THIS Fairfield Inn was SWEET and gave me the assurance one doesn't have to spend a lot to get a hot breakfast, a great night's sleep, good clean bedding, rather decent coffee, hence FIVE STARS. Horrible. There was a foul odor coming from the drain in the bathroom floor. When we had the manager come to the room, she acknowledged the smell but all she offered was a can of Fabreze. The next morning we went down to the breakfast. I took a muffin from the tray and brought it back to my table. Ants began crawling out of the sides of the muffin. I went back to the tray and ants were all over the tray. I complained to Marriott and they offered a lousy 3,000 points (worth about 1/7 of a night). read more

As Fairfield's go, this property is just ok. It's at the end of its decor lifestyle so expect chipped furniture, manky/musty carpet and played out mattresses. My room was very worn and "ok" in terms of cleanliness - there was a big snarl if someone else's hair under the sink. They appear to do a lot of business with kids sports teams and college kids but I didn't experience any noise at night. The staff was pleasant enough. Breakfast is the free standard spread and WiFi worked for me. There aren't a lot of options in the area if you're a Marriott Member. That said, I think I'd probably check out the Hampton Inn next time. read more

Hello folks! Looking at the reviews here, it does not look like this hotel cares much. But here we go: When Shelby asks what you are in town for, be careful how you answer. After three straight days of driving 9 hours, and getting in late (almost 11 pm), I just wanted to get to my room. So my answer was "stuff." Well, here is the consequence. And remember two things: I am a Platinum, which means you have to stay at Marriott for the equivalent of over two years. And the hotel is very empty. I can pick my parking space. She puts me in Room 211. Check it out: across both the elevator and the ice machine. It smells like smoke or stale air. And the fridge is buzzing all the time. Oh yea, the view sucks. I should have slept outside with the homeless. Check out the view from my bed - no door (below). Shelby offered to move me. But Im exhausted, too tired to deal with a room change. So when Shelby asks why you are in town, answer anything but "stuff." PS - she forgot to offer me the platinum gift. Surprise! read more

Whats good: Staff was very friendly, room was clean, room was fairly quiet and breakfast was good and neatly presented. The bad: the decor is dated, the room had a bad odor, coffee maker placed in the bathroom, AC runs real cold, TV was old and no USB to plug your phone. We bought air freshners and wore sweatshirts/pants to make it work. It felt like we stayed at days inn or red roof motel instead of Marriott. Disappointed. read more

Worst staff at a hotel I've ever seen. The amount of filth in the pool and gym was horrendous. The staff doesn't stop any sort of problem seen. Night staff just asleep in the back. You'd think for a Marriott, they'd have some sort of training. read more

Rating it a 2 stars because when we first arrived they didn't have us in the system , in which they never rebooted the computer come to find out they found us. We almost left ! And then the suites are soo small so if you book a suite not worth it l. It was a complete fire hazard had to leap over beds and pull out coaches just to get to the bathroom. WiFi was slow. Stayed here recently with family..the 1st thing I noticed-the staff was so accommodating, friendly and helpful! No rudeness here at all :-). My room was comfortable and clean..nice that it included a refrigerator and microwave. Coffee, tea and fruit always seemed available in the lobby..the breakfast buffet, included with the room, was good--scrambled eggs, sausage patties and make your own waffles--even chocolate ones! Sometimes cookies were offered in the lobby, which was great for the kids. You can walk to a Wendy's and an Italian restaurant across the street (safe--crossing light)..we actually got a pizza from the Italian restaurant, and ate in the community room at the hotel..worked out great! Overall, a pleasant stay, decent value, with exceptional staff..if in the area again, I would stay here again. read more

I am a business traveler and not in the habit of writing reviews. I will try to stick to the facts. I recently changed companies and was working with a new expense system. I originally booked my room with this hotel through the system but, as is sometimes the case, got routed to a different town. I cancelled (or so I thought) the room here and booked it at another Marriott property. I discovered that the cancellation did not go through and I got charged for both rooms when I went to do my expense report. I immediately knew it was probably something I didn't do correctly in the system. I called the property to try to talk through the issue with the manager. Before l could finish my story the manager immediately began to tell me that she could see in her system how I never cancelled the room and was clearly versed on her policy on no shows. She then told me they we not full that night BUT IF THEY WERE, WELL, WHAT THEN??!! What kind of fiscal backlash would my lack of consideration to other travellers cause??!! And the policy clearly states I owe Marriott the money. (This may not be word for word, but pretty close) Deep breath. I know it was something on my end. But, you weren't full, my MISTAKE did not cost you another booking and I am (was) a very loyal Marriott customer. I know what the policy is but have we gone so far that local managers can no longer use good judgement? I could certainly understand if the property were full that night but the manager clearly said they were not. I am perplexed. This is not a tough call. Give me my money back (less any fees from travel agencies you may have incurred) and I will see you the next time I am in town when I check in. In the end, the manager, the manager's manager and Marriott corporate decided that they would give me back half my money and curtly explained the matter is closed in their minds. Wow. I am dumbfounded that a classy organization like Marriott would allow a situation like this come to the point that I have been inspired to write this. Was it really worth losing a loyal customer that spends literally thousands a year with Marriott (my husband is also a silver rewards member) ? What am I missing? Very friendly staff. Fixed concern. First room wasn't ready after 45 min and the second room, which hotel offered to upgrade, had two hairs and an eyelash in the bed (noticed right away). Me and my husband stay in Marriott's every single day, so we are very loyal Bonvoy members, but our stay here was very frustrating because when we arrived, I had to make a trip downstairs to the front desk 3 different times because our room keys would not work, the rooms are very outdated and smell very strange, there was a used rag left in our shower from the previous guest, and they were not able to give me a receipt when we left. I grew up in Williamsport but no longer live in Pennsylvania. For various reasons I still have the need to return. I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and it is always pleasant and positive. At this point I won't consider another hotel because I like convenient access to the highway, Sheetz, a good Italian restaurant and Wendy's. The rooms are always clean, wifi reliable, and a large screen tv is a great value. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks Fairfield for making my visits so welcoming. read more

Clean, friendly, and affordable. Great location with easy access to local attractions including Bowman Field and Penn State Tech. There is a Sheetz next door which is additionally helpful for travelers. My only gripe is that their elevator is excessively slow for a three story building! Breakfast area was spacious and clean.
