I initially thought it was weird to not have a front desk but I didn't need it. With my personal code in hand, I walked up the steps, opened the exterior door, entered the vestibule, put in my code, and the door unlocked. The same code was my room key. Rather than walking the stately stairs to the second floor, I ascended to the second floor using the elevator. Very smooth ride. The Council Room was just WOW. Hardwood floors, 6 huge windows behind the bed, chandelier, barn door bureau, glass barn door shower, wall mounted tv, iron & full size ironing board, microwave, and coffee pot, As a light sleeper, when checking in, I heard the clock tower chime and saw the full length window blinds (not black out curtains). With the firm mattress and plethora of pillows, I died and woke up refreshed. Tons of food options in walking distance. Ample lot and street parking. Minor inconvenience: no nightstand with a plug access to charge my phone overnight. With a little Feng shui, I brought a side table closer to the bed and had a long cord. Problem solved. Speaking of problems, if you have any issues, the phone number for 24 hour help is posted in the vestibule and in the rooms. Looking forward to trying out other rooms on future visits.

Really?! Felt like college. Cheap flip is the best way i can describe. Very clean, though, and we can control temp effectively. Stunning exterior and clean rooms. Has a lot of potential but felt like a cheap flip. Furniture style didnt match architecture, beds are stiff with college dorm bedding and not enough pillows. Night stand on only 1 side. Wish the black and white photos had captions - clearly a building with rich history. Great amenities for the price. Overall, clean place to rest your head with nice kitchenette amenities for a low price. Not the most restful sleep you'll ever have.

Lots of doors ... between living room, bathroom sink, shower/commode, & bedroom. Two closets. Bedroom has large bureau. Large TVs in living room & bedroom. Unfortunately, most restaurants, since the pandemic, are closed on Mondays. The front desk identified the local open restaurants for me. Looking forward to my next stay at this location.

The Genetti was built in 1922 and has some of the idiosyncrasies you might expect from an older hotel, also the character and some of the cool decorative details. That said it still felt luxurious compared to the Quality Inn or similar right off a highway exit. Nice outdoor pool, a fairly extensive breakfast included with our stay. The concierge staff was gregarious, knowledgeable and professional. We got to stay on the 8th floor, which my cousin told me was haunted. No paranormal activity. Williamsport itself on a Monday morning seemed unusually quiet. Not a lot of vehicular traffic. Nonetheless, it has a rakish charm. When you stop make sure you take the short walk to see the murals and the "Grit" building. Maybe not the right hotel for a cranky prima donna but, if you are an adventurous traveler with an appreciation for going a bit off the beaten track, this is your place. Added bonus - Conveniently located to Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, as well as the Lewisburg Antique District.

We complained at the front desk 1st night, but same thing next night. Tv is blasting loud at 6AM Sunday morning as I write this. Our previous stay 2 months ago we endured a crying dog from a room that finally did stop around 2AM! This hotel is being very poorly managed and they obviously do not care about their guests being able to get a good night's sleep. I do not expect to stay here ever again.

Apparently, the pool closure is listed at the very bottom of the reservation page, but I just clicked through the booking button without scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page UNDERNEATH the booking button when I made my reservation. This was an overnight stay for my daughter's birthday who was looking forward to the pool. I called x 3 and couldn't get anyone, and when someone finally answered, I was informed they would not refund my prepaid stay because "it is clearly marked on the landing page that the pool is under renovation" which is false if you go to the hotel website. I was offered a free stay to use within "3 months or maybe a year" and told this info would be emailed to me, which I still haven't received. Very disappointed.

(I have been in too many hotels recently, where the toilet leaked, the bathtub dripped, but THIS Fairfield Inn was SWEET and gave me the assurance one doesn't have to spend a lot to get a hot breakfast, a great night's sleep, good clean bedding, rather decent coffee, hence FIVE STARS. HEY, it isn't a 5 star hotel, but for the cost & what I got and how I was treated - *****
