Amazing! Cam, at the front desk was helpful and made me feel welcome after my horrific experience at The Quality Inn.

Called the desk and within a couple of minutes they said to meet someone at another room. Perfect. All working and settled. During a one night stay I needed one thing and once again I was very surprised how quick service was especially at after 10:00 PM. From check in to check out super friendly and fast service. Seeing some of the other reviews I wonder if some of the rooms are more challenged than others. For me there was nothing to complain about at all.

Upon arrival, I was told that the room that the app reserved for me was not yet available. No big deal so I took another room. The beds here are the worst I've ever slept on. I could not sleep very well because you can hear everyone else on your floor every time they make a move. When I finally decided to get out of bed because I realized there is no comfortable position, I realized that trying to find a way to sleep only hurt my back during the night. Instead of a nice relaxing evening in a hotel room on the road, I received a stressful night of loud noises and a bed from hell!! The bathroom door would not stay completely open because of the hair dryer and towel hanging pegs. This makes it difficult to enter and exit the bathroom without bumping the door. There was no snacks to purchase in the lobby. The staff was nice but I believe one of the ladies that helped me just started so this lead to a much longer check in process. Limited parking due to construction equipment. The front awning was blocked off for some reason. The place appears to be under renovation. The room I was in appeared to be recently renovated but I truly hope I'm wrong. I will avoid this place in the future. Life is too short to waste money like this. If this review sounds like I'm bouncing all over the place it's due to a lack of sleep and extreme discomfort from staying here. AVOID-FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING!!

This is mostly useful as a more interesting alternative to Rocky Mount's collection of very average chain motels along 64. It's definitely a different lodging experience and the clusters of tiny homes along a gravel road make for a colorful, fun little neighborhood feel. The parking is close by, and there are several food and (mostly) drink options at Rocky Mount Mills, which is adjacent. Note that there are only two restaurant options and the rest are mostly brewpubs, so food variety is limited. The hours of operation can be somewhat limited as well when it's not a weekend, so check that out when making plans. My first stay was in the Elizabeth, which was fine except the shower curtain was a little grungy and the sitting area wasn't suitable for curling up and reading, because it was just a padded bench with one end backing into a bookcase and the other into a countertop. Second stay was at the Neuse, which had a U-shaped seating arrangement where you could read for a while and a shower door that was much cleaner. So you're not allowed to stay in a place calling itself a tiny home and complain about it being small. I will just comment that the shower stall is hard to maneuver in, and if you drop the soap, you will have to get out of the shower in order to pick it up. Also, the stairs up to the sleeping loft are veeeeeeeeery steep. If you have to make a bathroom trip in the middle of the night, it can be quite a production. Also, the mattress is in the highest part near the ceiling, and heat rises. While the A/C unit worked well, it would be nice to have some sort of fan arrangement in the sleeping area. Note that the kitchen area provides a coffee maker and two mugs, a nice mini-fridge, a microwave, and some paper to-go cups. There are no other dishes, so if you're eating in, you'll have to account for that. The contactless check-in and check-out works fine, the tiny homes are cute, and the experience is distinctive. I wouldn't want to stay in one for more than a couple of nights, but for a short stay it's a worthwhile adventure.

I chose it because the steps to the upper floor looked sturdier and less steep than some of the other tiny homes. I was wrong. They are narrow but very deep. Precarious even if you're sober. And quite dangerous if you've been partaking in all the great breweries and restaurants. But that's not the house's fault. It was built that way probably to make use of every nook and cranny. And everything was spotless. The bed upstairs looked charming and comfortable. You definitely can't sit up in it without bonking your head. Would be perfect for children that never get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Or for adults who have young enough bladders to make it through the night. Never fear, cause downstairs the couch does make into a bed of some type. Not the most comfortable thing, but when you're glamping you're having fun and we had some good laughs. Location is right across the street from Rocky Mount Mills which is super enjoyable for a night away. We had a great dinner, lots of drinks and breakfast at the coffee shop the next morning. If you have children with you, there are volleyball nets, firepits, and other outdoor things around the tiny houses. They give you a code before you check in that gets you in your little house. There's no place to "check in and out". Note that River & Twine also has a guest house. That would be more our speed for next time.

As a cancer cancer patient who has recently gone through treatment I was surprised when I went into…read morethe gym and there were no ways of cleaning the machines. So I thought maybe they haven't refilled it and they could help me at the front desk. When I arrived at the desk to ask the gentleman about this, he was kind of rude telling me they dont have anything. I told him that I was a cancer patient and I would like to have clean equipment he looks at me as if he didn't care. I saw that there were two sanitizers sitting at the front desk. I asked him where the bathroom was so that I could get some paper towels. When I went back to the desk to ask him if it was possible. I could borrow one of the 2 sanitizers at the desk he told me no. That I could squirt it into my paper towels. So I decided that I would look up the rules for hotels and gyms. In the Tru-Hotel Brand Standards - North America found only under section 1302.05 G. Hygienic Wipes starts "The hotel must maintain Brand-approved hygienic wet wipes for guest use. Hygienic Wipes do not replace daily disinfecting during the cleaning process. Consult equipment owner's manual for recommended cleaning solutions." I have pictures proving that the fitness center is not clean, as well as they do not have wipes. After my complaint to corporate last night the fitness center now has Wipes. They didn't put in new towels until this morning. We have been here for 3 days and 2 nights. The front desk staff has been rude other then one tall gentleman. I found out from Staffers that most of them don't wear a name tags because people don't want others to know their names. (Hints they can be rude and you don't know who they are to report.) After talking with a few of the housekeepers I see why the rooms aren't clean. They are over worked some having a floor to themselves and they aren't being paid a fair wage. Though I believe they should have someone to check rooms after to make sure they are clean enough for guest. My room wasn't very clean, even after asking the front desk to send housekeeping to my room. I had to find the woman that worked my floor and tell her myself. I told her specific things to clean and still those were barely done. Im just upset with myself after the first night not packing up and moving to another hotel. The women that served breakfast are lovely. They were kind and very helpful. I would say the others that gave me information about be understaffing and underpaid were also very nice. The others at the front desk shouldn't be in hospitality if they can't be hospitable. Also I was given a call after speaking with corporate I was contacted by the hotel. The gentleman on the phone said that they would be calling me the next day about the situation. Its been 7 days and still no contact. I will be contacting corporate again and reporting this review on every site that I can. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY LIE! THEY ARE RUDE! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR SAFETY!

She even suggested changing from a first-floor room to the second floor, explaining that the first floor is the pet-friendly floor -- a thoughtful recommendation. When you enter the room, there's a large open space to the right. Immediately to the left is the bathroom, which has a standard tub/shower combo, a hair dryer, and typical hotel fixtures. Even with two lights on either side of the mirror, the lighting is dimmer than many hotel bathrooms and could use brighter bulbs. Inside the bathroom is a large mirror, and just outside it is another full-size mirror. There is also a long black hair stuck to the bathroom ceiling. Across from the bathroom is a closet containing an iron, ironing board, and a safe. In the main area, the room has double queens with a small stool/settee just past the closet and across from the first bed -- likely intended as the luggage area, since no luggage rack is provided. The TV sits above a counter with three large drawers, and underneath that counter is a microwave and refrigerator. The coffee maker uses standard filters (not pods), which is a plus. Past the TV area is a desk with a lamp. The lamp includes extra power outlets but no USB ports. Beside the second bed near the window is a soft chair with a lamp, and the bedside table has another lamp plus a small plug-in charging station offering a USB-C and a standard USB port. It also claims to be a wireless charging pad, but it did not work with my phone. Lighting in the room consists of three lamps plus a single overhead light near the entrance. Overall cleanliness was good -- everything smelled fresh and tidy. I did find a small sticky patch near the coffee maker that felt like sugar residue, but it wasn't visible. The bathroom was clean but clearly shows its age. My bathroom door looked like it had been forced open at some point and was repaired; the doorknob area is visibly battered, with marks on both the door and the frame. There's also peeling wallpaper near the window that does not look good. Aside from those cosmetic issues, the room is comfortable and in decent condition. The hotel is well-located near downtown, and for the price point, it's a good value. I would stay here again. One odd thing I noticed after checkout is they were unable to provide me with an itemized receipt for my cafe purchases like the little place where you buy water and snacks for corporate America you got to have an itemized receipt and they are unable to provide one. There's a separate business attached to the hotel Texas steakhouse that serves breakfast and dinner and has a full bar.
