Within approximately 20 minutes of checking in, I checked back out. The room I received had no window, which I was not expecting, and the shower had white residue throughout the floor/area that made it appear unclean and unsanitary. I was uncomfortable enough with the condition of the bathroom that I did not want to stay in the room. I immediately spoke with the front desk and asked to change rooms. I even offered to pay for an upgrade if necessary. I was told there were no other rooms/options available and that there was nothing they could do. So I left and paid for accommodations elsewhere. The part that really changed my opinion of this hotel, however, was what happened afterward. Airbnb informed me that because the reservation had been designated nonrefundable, I needed the host/hotel to approve reimbursement. I contacted the property directly through Airbnb, clearly explained what happened, and requested reimbursement. No response. I followed up several days later. Still no response. I understand what "nonrefundable" means, but there's an enormous difference between changing your mind about a trip and arriving at a property, immediately raising concerns about your room, asking the hotel to correct the situation, offering to pay for an upgrade, being told they cannot accommodate you, and consequently leaving within 20 minutes. Even if management ultimately disagreed with my request for reimbursement, the professional thing to do would have been to respond. Instead, I paid for a three-night reservation I essentially never used, had to find somewhere else to stay, and my attempts to address the situation afterward have been ignored. If you're considering staying here, I would strongly recommend confirming exactly what type of room you're receiving--including whether it has a window--and thoroughly inspecting it before settling in. I personally would not return. The room itself was disappointing, but the complete lack of follow-up after I raised a legitimate concern is what ultimately makes me unable to recommend this property.

If you're staying for a conference, the full kitchen is a huge plus. There is a grocery store less than a mile away. The room comes equipped with plates, bowls, utensils, pots, pans, etc. If you don't have something you need, a call to the front desk and they'll likely deliver it to you. Monday - Thursday they do a little wine (and beer), cheese, and bread session in the evening. The breakfast in the mornings isn't amazing, but it's a free breakfast and will do. The staff were all friendly. The gym in the hotel was fine. While this hotel was .7 miles away from my conference, it was an easy walk back and forth each day.

There were a lot of carb options (bread, muffins, cereal) but not too many carb-conscious/protein options (eggs, etc). The made-to-order offerings are a nice idea, but in practice, it always caused a big crowd just milling about for a while. Also, I noticed that they don't replenish items very quickly and their containers stayed empty for a while. I will say the quality of the baked goods and made-to-order was very good, from the little I was able to obtain. The gentleman in the kitchen was wonderful and such a peach.
