We just checked out of the Hampton Inn on Severn in Metairie Louisiana…read more We are HGVC owners and Gold HH. I can honestly say this should not call itself a Hilton product. There was so much that made this stay sad and disgusting. We had a family reunion at the Homewood Suites a couple miles away. We should have stayed there. It was immaculate and well managed. Our stay started with our checked in rooms at 3:25 we're not ready. We had two rooms for 3 nights. I was told she could put my son, daughter and grandson in a room but the doors sticks. I figured that would be ok. She had room for us but 4 levels from the kids. We had to unload a car full from the car of items for the reunion and had driver 7 hours so we took it. We unloaded and left the room to bring the other items to the meeting room at Homewood for the reunion. Shortly after my son arrived. I met him with the key. We got to the room with the sticking door. My son scanned and went to open it. It literally dropped down and hung. The top hinge had stripped screws and the hinge was not holding the door. I went down and told them it doesn't stick it's not attached. She then had another room cleaned. I told her the requested crib was not in that room to please send one to the new room. Now it's time to shower for reunion so I returned to our room. I'm in the shower and look up and see a ceiling full of mold. The bath had no vent so it was very musty and moldy. After I was done I asked for another room. I did not need to get sick from mold. Below you will see pictures of the crib they sent, the disgusting shower floor in the old room and the bed room, the mold, the disgusting pool, the mildewed entry mats, the plants sling the courtyard and the window by the breakfast buffet. It's disgusting and unexceptionable. I can't believe the points they charged for this. I would like someone to follow up with me. One last thing: upon getting into the elevator to check out the house keeping young lady told us you know how many rooms I have today? My daughter said how many. She said 28 and I can't go home till they're done. So calculate that. How many minutes can she spend cleaning the rooms. How through of a job will be done!!!

If I could give a zero I would. The free breakfast in the morning is one word horrible, I had to go out every morning for breakfast. The pool was dirty not vacuumed in days, they clean your room (not really bathroom floor very dirty) take your dirty towels sometimes and don't give you new towels. When you ask for towels they give you pool towels. Lighting in a the room very very dark even with the lights on, guess they don't want you to see the dirt. You're better off at motel 6 than this dump, save your money DO NOT stay here.

Check in was quick and personable. We were told about breakfast and coffee/tea/hot chocolate available 24 hours a day. It appears to be a new hotel. Everything was maintained like new, modern, and sparkling clean. My room had two comfy beds, fridge, microwave, mini coffee maker, full sized hair dryer and nice toiletries. There is also a small indoor pool and a fitness center. Parking was well lit and easy. An incredibly easy drive into downtown NOLA where we had business and have to have a large vehicle with us made this a real plus for us. Breakfast included cheese omelets, fresh redskin potatoes, smoked sausage, yogurt, cereal, grapefruit, cantaloupe and pineapple as well as whole fruits. A selection of pastries with toppings for oatmeal and more were available. I will definitely be returning here on our next visit - superb staff, clean, exceptional property and a real value in the NOLA area.

Management was involved and they were perfectly comfortable just sticking with the housekeepers story. I called the same day as check out, within hours, and we hadn't even reached our next destination. I stopped at a rest stop and checked my bag within 50 miles of leaving the hotel remembering I hadn't packed it. Nothing bothers me more than unscrupulous persons who steal and management who stands behind them. DO BETTER HILTON! I'm willing to bet NUMEROUS left items were never found at this location. If you steal and get away with it, no questions asked, you're going to be a repeat offender.

While they have a bar in the lobby, it is never open unless as they stated, there is something happening on the rooftop. Really did not make sense to me at all. It was pricy but I feel like it was a must when traveling across the country with your whole family for a week. They kitchen had everything you needed except for dish detergent. It costs $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry your clothes in the laundry room. It only takes 30 min to wash and 30 min to dry. I booked through the Marriott app and must have requested a quiet room on a top floor bc that is exactly what I got- thank god. It felt like we were in our own tiny house bc we didn't hear anyone else at the hotel from our room. The complimentary breakfast was different every day. First day was bacon and eggs, second day was eggs with biscuits and gravy, another was eggs and sausage and the last day they had spinach quiche and some kind of cheesy soufflé maybe? They only had fresh fruit some days. Anyhow, this location was close to the freeway and close to Drago's and Acme!

We chose Home2 Suites because we've stayed at a few Hilton Hotels and liked our experience. The desk clerk was very friendly when we checked in and smiled throughout our interaction. Once we completed checking in, she gave us 3 bottles of water. (it was hot during our stay) The room was clean, and breakfast was very good and varied each morning. When we stay at hotels, we rather not have room service come in so we were able to get clean towels from housekeeping each morning without any questions. We were simply looking for something close to the airport because our flight was delayed so we needed a place for an extra night. While close to the airport, it isn't close to where we thought we'd be coming from or where we had to get back to. It's really a neither here nor there but I don't see anything significant about this location. The bed was pretty comfortable overall. The fan / AC in the room was noisy which kept me up probably the most but it was bearable not to complain about it. The liquid soap was nice (not watered down), and the room was quiet aside from a couple door slams. It's a nice room and interior but not really what we needed. I've stayed at Home2 in the past but I do not remember the apartment-like amenities. One thing I found odd was the bathroom door. If you were using the bathroom, you couldn't open the door from the outside to walk in (as couples do). The door slammed into my legs. It was a big door. Overall a room that provided us with a decent night's sleep. The gym was merely satisfactory. But very friendly staff!

Staff were nice and responsive but I was disheartened to find my room was dirty (dirt on bathroom floor) and my soap dispenser for the shower was literally empty so I had to "shower" and then call for them to bring up soap (so they brought a new bottle for me). Room was par and has basic amenities. Very loud air conditioning unit that ran non-stop if you're sensitive to noise. Also rust (I think) in the closet on the wall, so took care where to put some clothing. Ended up causing me an issue as I put a blazer off to the side. Also, note that the Front Desk store is no cash if you want to leave a tip for the housekeeping staff. Keep some cash on you. Would have marked 3 stars, but I left a favorite blazer in the closet when I left. Contacted them as soon as I got home and noticed it wasn't in my bag. They said they'd contact staff and get back to me. Has been a week and still nothing. Lost cause at this point. They know who the guest is when housekeeping comes in... seems they should take a proactive step to reach out about items left behind. Even better, respond when a guest contacts about something left behind. So, -1 star for the low customer service on that.
