Overall, I think my stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Homestead, Florida City was pretty good. It wasn't the best, but not the worst either. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. I thought some of the common areas, like the laundry room and the hallways, were dirty and had not been cleaned in a while. Average is a good description. read more

The "fragrance" used in the hotel lobby, elevators, and hallways is at a sickening strength level that we couldn't handle! It follows into the room, where we used two boxes of tissues the first night and then had to check out early for relief. read more

Love Fairfield's, but not this one. Bed was low to floor and uncomfortable.....hard to get into and out of if you're not too spry. Outlets by beds did not work. They charge for self parking. No coffee available in lounge. Hotel is cashless so could not get change for tips. Front desk staff was not helpful. I would not recommend staying at this property read more

Worst hotel experience iv ever had in Florida. Awful smell and rude staff. I Left a camera battery in my room and they told me I could come pick it up. When I drove over, they told me it was locked in a room that only one person had the key to, and that they wouldn't be back for 3 days. Don't go here if you don't want your property stolen or to be talked down to by staff, or if your nose works. read more

Establishment is very nice ppl are friendly the way hotels operate now the prices going up but the service is lacking. In todays world, there isn't the same type of services, you don't get clean sheets or services as in the past. After Covid to even get clean towels you have to take the used ones down to the desk and trade them for clean ones. But good news is NO early morning vacuums waking you up. It's nice to know all this before assuming there will be daily cleaning to return bk to hotel & find it exactly the way you left. Just expect a four day stay with NO cleaning. Very clean hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. It's located right off US 1 with few restaurants and a liquor store within walking distance. The pool and fitness room were open during my stay. Been on the road for just under 12 hours and exhausted been on the road for 12 hours, checked in and tv had some issues, I notified the front and Luis Delahoya from maintenance shows and right away and knocks it out of the park. Fixes the TV asked if I needed anything else. Very professional and awesome. I strongly recommend this location and if any issues arise ask for Luis he is a rockstar. read more

Went to counter to purchase 2 bottles of water, I was told I have to have exact change to purchase with cash.... Wth I asked about the laundry room and how much that is, I was told the machines only take 1's and 5's and they again don't have change.... Wth This went from very convenient on the website to very Inconvenient in person!! 1 it's a hotel 2 why offer these amenities when you won't make change?? That's a big inconvenience since I'm here on business and can't do my stuff on my time and I'm not running all over town to get change. That's a total waste of time. There are cashless washers and dryers that use an app if your not going to make change. read more

The place is awesome. Clean, upgraded with device and nice and friendly staff. The reason I am giving 3 star is because the hot breakfast. So far we have visited many different locations of Fairfield inn and hot breakfast always included fresh fruits snd nuts for oatmeal. Varieties of bread and milk. This place has plain oatmeal with no toppings and just a gas station style wrapped bagel. It does have bacon and eggs and waffle. read more

Stayed Feb 2022. I called and asked for a early check in. The lady said I could check in 2 hrs early. It was not on my reservation when I booked it. No place to confirm. I tried. I went early. Room was barely ready at regular check in time. After an hour a maid walked in. No knock, nothing, she was lucky I was clothed. The next morning we started getting knocks at the door at 9am. Checkout was later. Why not let me rest a bit? Back off. after 3 times I had to get up and put it the Do not disturb sign. They also disrupted other hotel rooms near me. After 4 times next door the guy near me threatened if she knocked one more time he would take care of her. He was pissed. We all hear him yelling. It was well deserved. These housekeepers need more training on being courteous and need more customer skills. Free breakfast had cold fake eggs omelets. Over cooked sausage, and one toaster. Not impressed. Room did not feel as clean as it should. I would never stay here again. I will say front desk was very nice and professional. Nothing else was. read more

This is an up to date hotel with friendly staff. The room along with all other parts of the hotel were clean. The beds were comfy and the walls seemed to be thick enough to hide the sound of others walking in the hallway. The continental breakfast didn't have much in my opinion, but they have the basics such as coffee, cereal, muffins, and juice. I had no issues getting hot water when showering either. The water pressure was great. I would stay here again. read more

I'm a group tour planner/director who spends an enormous amount of time researching hotels and booking large numbers of rooms. One thing I've learned over time is that the people make the place. Customer service (good people who care about guest experience and doing the right thing) is key. We had to cancel our reservation here 3 weeks before our tour in mid-Jan 2022 due to a worldwide pandemic surge and several of our tour attendees coming down with serious COVID cases. All five of our other hotels were very understanding and gladly rebooked us to a later date. Not this one. GM Amar Patel charged us a $3500 fee and made it very clear that for him, it is all about the money now. Customer experience, loyalty, and future business are not his concern. If you do your research, you'll see that others have had very negative experiences with the people here as well. It's a relatively new hotel and should be getting overwhelmingly positive reviews. Not so. Do yourself a favor and select another property. You'll note that the Travelodge and Quality Inn down the road score head and shoulders above this place. We've stayed at that Travelodge and it is by far the best property that brand has to offer. read more

This hotel is brand new and is geographically situated in the gateway to the Florida Keys. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. GM Amar made sure that our stay was great and went above and beyond to facilitate any of our needs. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Homestead, Florida City, or the Florida Keys. read more

If I could put ZERO Stars I would. This hotel is an absolute disgrace to the Marriott franchise. The staff is unhelpful, unprofessional and inconsiderate. I booked 4 nights at this hotel and had to cancel due to a family emergency, I rebooked with another Marriot hoping to transfer my reservation. Not only was I charged the FULL amount, over $600.00, but, on top of that, I was NOT given the points earned on my Marriott Bonvoy credit card. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL. And do NOT trust that customer service is 'there to help', they simply throw their hands up in the air and tell you each hotel has their own policy... An absolute DISGRACE to the Marriott franchise!!!! read more

I stayed here because they were stringent about their county and city mask mandates. I was greeted to 10 maskless men smoking in front of the property ( i thought maybe they cant control what people do outside). So I went in to a maskless front dest agent eating something in the lobby. He was super rude and kept stopping to talk to a lady you was so close I could feel her breath in my neck. I backed away from her creating space but he kept talking to her and trying to hand me things. It gets worse. The place is dirty. I mean smughes all over the elevator to where you need a tissue or gloves to push the buttons. The pool area was nasty literally clothes in the pool and one of their chairs was in their all morning. I complained the first day about check in but didn't hear anything from them until I checked out teo days later ( couldn't get a refund because travelocity couldn't even bother to get back to me. This management has managed to turn a brand new hotel into a dirty budget hostel. I would stay literally anywhere else in the area before staying here again. read more

Had nothing but problems from the moment we walked in to check in. Having traveled all day and accidentally forgetting to put a mask on and once being asked never questioning (which is an honest mistake when having been up for endless hours traveling) to having the general manager calling the room the moment we walked in to harass us about wearing a mask for breakfast when the front desk lady had legit just told us and we said okay. None of the lights would turn on in our room. I called downstairs only to find out you have to put a room key in a special place for them to turn on. She said they were supposed to tell us that at checkin but they forgot. To the front desk guy behind beyond rude. We had a pull out couch that had no bedding so when we went downstairs to get bedding he told us they had no pillows for the room. We were even asking for extra pillows, but honestly just any pillows for a bed we are paying for. He told us he had none and that he could not check anywhere for them. He was rude and complacent. When I went to the girl at the desk she was kind and said she would look for them. Later on she calls to ask if we had gotten the pillows nothing. 45 minutes later I call again and she said the other front desk guy had said we didn't have any. Meanwhile when I was at the front desk she said she would go to an empty room to bring us some? Great sounds great. Then when we finally get a single pillow we have no pillowcase and have to go down again for one. Honestly the worst hotel experience and would never stay here again. The staff was rude and seemed that we were bothering them. The girl was nice but seemed to not stand up for the customer when she knew we were being mistreated. She even told me she was sorry they didn't have a single pillow for the bed in our room. Wish I could give 0 stars. Especially for the general manager who thinks it's okay to harass customers when they haven't even been in the room for 10 seconds. read more

Stayed 3 nights late February. Nobody came into the room the whole time we were there to give us new towels, remove the trash, or replenish the coffee. We had to ask for these items the 2 and 3rd nights after being gone all day. It was like nobody knew we were there. We've NEVER experienced something like this in any hotel we've stayed in before. Also, the refrigerator was noisy clicking and popping on and off all night and the A/C had too wide of a temperature spread - the room was either too warm or too cool. The fan cannot be run all the time which helps mask the noise and helps stabilize the room comfort. Lastly, the bed was not comfortable especially with the heavy (rubber?) pad underneath the sheets. And the pool was ice cold. When we told the front desk several times of these issues all we heard was well we're a brand new hotel after a hollow apology to the issues. Hardly any help at all. We will NEVER stay in this hotel again and will probably not consider staying at any other new Fairfield Inn in the future now that we know new is not always better with this chain. Complained to Marriott corporate and was told we'd be contacted in 3 to 5 business days. Hasn't happened after maybe 10 days. They don't care. read more

We called ahead for a reservation while we were on the road. Israel, the desk clerk, was extremely friendly and helpful on the telephone. Rates were reasonable for the area. Once we arrived, he greeted us warmly and we quickly had our room. The hotel is very new and very clean. It's in a great location. Highly recommend this hotel. read more

Staying at this this hotel has been a complete nightmare. Upon arrival I had to switch rooms because mine was so cold and the thermostat was broke. Initially when I checked it I was asked to put my card in the reader (I thought I was paying for the $50 incidentals) because that is what she stated. she never clarify that she was charging me for one night stay at $157.00 plus $50-when I got up to my room I notice the charge deducted from my account of like $200+. She said she couldn't verify that I paid through Priceline.com. She never ask me for anything to verify my payment (sounds like a Training opportunity) I was patient, and didn't trip, but she didn't believe me. I called Priceline that night, who was nice enough to call and educate the manager on shift. He told me I would be credited back in a few days (this was a week ago today). Then I called on Wed to follow up because I didn't hear anything-spoke with the Sales manager Angelica A. She sent me a email telling me it was a glitch in the system-fine, what's the resolve??? Give me a ETA something. No follow up email from her. I called last night to speak with the same manager who swore it was fixed and he said "its fixed" and is there anything I can help you with. Can you believe his tone. Like, yea you can not put the money back into my account! I called Angelica today, no return call. I opened up a case with Marriot, but then I though.... I'm not going to be aggravated by these people-I'll let my bank deal with this incompetence. Never again. The flip side is the room was clean and I slept comfy. So if your good with having extra money removed from your account to and stay in a nice establishment, go for it! read more
