Excellent stay at this Fairfield. Plenty of parking on three sides of the building and a covered entry for unloading in inclement weather. Four luggage carts are located in the hotel vestibule in a small area to the left. Outdoor entrances, other than the main entrance, require a room key to enter the building. Reception and the lobby make a lovely first impression. It's a large area that feels both open and cozy. We book thru the Bonvoy app and are able to check-in remotely with our 'eta' so staff are ready. All staff we met were personable and friendly. Our King bedroom was located on the ground floor. I love that the room has 'wood' floors. So much easier to keep clean imho. The room was a good size with a desk/work station, small TV, dresser and a space to lay your open suitcase or use as a seat with storage space below. The closet is deep with quality hangers, an iron & board and a luggage rack. I really appreciate both the luggage rack and the flat open furniture surface for luggage. Two travelers, two suitcases. It's the small things that make travel more enjoyable. There's also a hook and a shelf outside the closet for small luggage and a jacket or two. The blackout curtains did their job as expected. The sheets were crisp. Pillows are feather. You can request a feather free room when reserving on the app. There is a 'notes' area before you 'reserve' the room. Heat/AC control is on the wall near the closet. An area in the room vestibule holds a small fridge, coffee service and microwave. Both the coffee maker and microwave were clean. Bedside table had four plugs for your electronics and a low shelf for a small bag. The bathroom is also a good size with large walk-in shower and plenty of vanity counter space. There are three hooks in there too! Towels for three were good quality, soft and absorbant. Multi-use personal care items are mounted in the shower stall and there is a large shelf in the stall for your personal items. The handle to turn on water is near the stall entrance which is great because you can adjust the water temperature before stepping into the shower. Pressure was great, water temp plenty hot and it drained very well. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were constantly keeping an eye on messes being made by guests (pro tip: the sugar goes *in* the coffee cup) and restocking. The cereals, hot & cold are grouped with milk, yogurts, fresh and canned fruits, sugar, spices, etc., etc. The best cereal set-up I've seen in a while. Two other breakfast sections include hot items (eggs, turkey sausage) plus add ins like hot sauce and grated cheese, etc., and a toaster items section including bagels, english muffins and scones plus all the expected add ons like jelly, cream cheese, etc. The sectioned display areas really help with the flow of guests at the buffet. The toaster worked great. The breakfast dining area is large, sunny and clean. Lots of space for guests of different sized parties. One TV is on news type programming all day and night. The coffee station seems to be available all day and includes tea and cocoa. A small gym is available for guests use as is a small indoor pool. Both require a room key for entry. The pool has a handicap lift. At the time of this review (June 2025) this is absolutely a comfortable, safe place to stay. A good restaurant is right next door. A shopping 'mart' (you know the one) and fuel are up the road a few blocks. read more

A little better than an average Fairfield Inn Located right off Route 80, this hotel is a viable option to break up a long distance car trip. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast is good. Started our road trip to Canada and we couldn't have stopped at a better location! Very clean, very polite and very pleasant. Several people just stared at us for a little bit but it may be because I was so gorgeous, lol just kidding. I do think the breakfast could be cooked and seasoned a little better. I was looking for a hotel between Pittsburgh and Williamsport as part of a road trip, and DuBois seemed like a convenient area. For $95 for the single overnight, I got a clean and organized, though basic, king bedroom. The hotel itself is conveniently located off the highway, and the area is quiet. The staff was welcoming, helpfully noting some possible water discoloration happening in the area at the time that may be noticeable (they also had signage noticing as much)... but they advised the water wasn't a cause for concern given the filtering system used by the hotel. The only misstep was when the attendant at the desk recommended the restaurant next door (Station 101) for dinner. I tried calling to make a dinner takeout order later that night and it was just a mess... (the woman who answered the phone could barely be understood, nothing on their menu that I asked about was actually available, etc). Thankfully, there's a conveniently located Pizza Hut... and while Pizza Hut wouldn't necessarily be my first choice, it's hard to go wrong with pizza. TL;DR Plenty of parking, decent wifi, comfortable room, secure space, and a nice hot shower to boot. I'll take it. Would stay here again. read more

Nice and clean, perfect stop over on our drive from Chicago to New York. Fridge and microwave in the room is a nice touch. Good water pressure in the shower. The station 101 restaurant next door has good food and wide selection of beer. The hotel breakfast is free but not that great, you get what you pay for. There are two waffle makers but even with two the line was long so I just got toast. Complimentary water bottles on our way out. They are proponents of hydration :) read more

I've always wondered what the Fairfield Inns are like that you see on the highway whenever you're driving from point A to point B. I'm a Marriott lover but I've never had a reason to stay at a hotel in the middle of what I perceive as nowhere. I am a sucker for punishment so I drove from New York to Cincinnati and decided that I was not going to do it straight through. I was with my family but I was the sole decision maker on this because I can't be stuck in a car with my little sister for 10 hours without a break. It's just not possible. Anyway, we were nearing the halfway mark of our journey when I asked if we could stay at the next Marriott that popped up on the app. Everyone was in agreement, so we chose the next stop which ended up being the Fairfield Inn DuBois. It's right off the highway with a restaurant next to it. From its location, you would never know that down the road is the cutest little town of DuBois. I found that out too late as it was getting late, and considering Cincinnati closes shop early, I doubt that the Sleepy Hollow of Pennsylvania was a night owl. The hotel looks just like any Fairfield you see of the side of the highway; this particular property was obviously newly built. It had the exterior of a new Fairfield. The front desk was efficient enough at getting us checked in. The lobby is as you'd expect; clean and a lot of information regarding the surrounding area. Our room was just what we needed after being on the road. The room was larger than most Fairfields. I'm assuming it's because it's a newer property, but whatever the case I appreciated it. We ate at the restaurant next door that they have a deal with. It was very high quality and I'll be writing a Yelp review about that as well soon. Since it was a just a place to stop and rest overnight, we did not take advantage of the fitness center or pool. I suspect that they are up to par with the rest of the property. If your travels bring you through DuBois, I would definitely stay here. Also, tell me how the town of DuBois is because it looks super cute. read more

The only criticism I have, and I won't count it against them is that their breakfast meats are not hot or browned - they are grey simply from being defrosted and heated. We typically stop here as we travel to/from Ohio, etc. The hotel is very conveniently located just off RT 80 and close to gas, shopping, food, etc. The hotel is clean and accommodating. The rooms are basic, but clean and inviting. Breakfast in the AM is generous and the area is well managed and kept clean. Literally just checked out. Super hotel. Convenient I-80 access, excellent rates, unbelievable staff. Haley took our reservation over the phone, same-day accommodation, she was friendly and helpful; truly a bright spot on a long drive day (even though the best rate she could find me was the "senior discount" (I JUST turned 50). The room was clean, spacious comfortable and well appointed. *We always check for bedbugs at any accommodation and found no evidence at all*. The hotel and room felt safe and secure. The complimentary breakfast was definitely better than most. Pretty standard fare: waffles, scrambled eggs, etc, but it was fresh and tasty; the hot food was hot and the cold was cold. The coffee was fresh and blistering hot. But the highlight was the breakfast attendant Terry. I've never encountered a person who was as friendly helpful and accommodating. He really was a delight. A genuine smile and a sincere "good morning" is a great way to start another long drive day. read more

We were just passing through but we came in late super tired. Summer was working the front desk and she was super quick getting us checked in. I slept like a rock it was so quiet and so comfortable we had a king room. This place is just great, the rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. The shampoo was actually awesome it was tea tree and that tingles a bit talk about waking ya up in the morning haha awesome! Breakfast was ok I don't eat much bread or dairy so my options were limited I had some sausage links with fruit they did have eggs Scrambled and hard boiled I didn't love the hard boiled. That said if you do eat bread and dairy they had a great variety yogurts, waffles, breads, bagels, cereals the works. Coffee was actually really good as well. read more

Very nice staff and beautiful clean lobby. Also the breakfast buffet is great. We spent three nights here. My major issue is the smell in the rooms! Our first room had a powerful musty moldy smell so the staff was nice enough to move us. The same smell was in this room and became stronger over the days we stayed here. They said it's the cleaning products but I'm not aware of cleaning products that smell like mildew. Our room in the corner has water damage on the ceiling so it's obviously a water issue/ mold. I wouldn't stay here again due to that. Couldn't wait to check out and get home. read more

I loved this hotel! Rebecca and Taneaka (sp?) helped me get checked in. They also granted my request to change from double beds to a King. They informed me of the free soup available that night and that a new restaurant just opened next door. They told me that i could get 10% off if i showed my room key. They were even joking with the manager who was in a great mood and came out and chatted with them and me. The lobby was clean and had friendly colors. I asked for a quiet room and they put me on the second floor. I did not hear a sound and wondered if there was anyone else in the hotel. But at the free breakfast i saw there was. Available were fresh waffle mix, hot eggs, sausage, canadian bacon, 4 cold cereal, fresh oatmeal, muffins, fruit, etc. Literally the BEST breakfast at any hotel i've been at. Other great things: free wifi. And the parking was simple and easy. They have a workout room and pool. I did not use either but they looked clean and adequate. I had the room set at 60 but it didn't get down that low. But i like the room cold to sleep in and no hotel rooms seems to get as cold as i would like to sleep. Overall, a 5 star. Would go back in a second. Especially if the same staff were there!!! read more

I was fortunate to have stayed in this hotel on its opening night. Of course, the service and attention I received from everyone was second to none. I can honestly say, however, that I feel their high level of customer service will continue well into the future. The building is brand new... The decor is bright and modern. The hallways are wide and well lit. The rooms are a decent size, well appointed and have more than enough outlets for laptops, cell phones, etc. The bathrooms have a single sink, bright lighting and hair dryer. Breakfast is per Marriott standard, with a good selection (waffles, scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, etc.). Fairfield Inns now serves scrambled eggs, so gone are those frozen egg biscuits! There is an exercise room, a meeting room and a small pool (the pool has a chair lift). If you are on a business trip, you could not find a better place in the area. Plenty of room, plenty of quiet and everything you need. I'm positive the same can be said if you are here with the family for leisure. This hotel has far surpassed my expectations. That is tough thing to do as I've logged over 175 nights in hotels last year alone. read more

This is a fairly new property in the Fairfield Inn chain, well located just off the interstate. Good parking lot that seems like good security too. The staff is very help full and the place in all aspects was neat as a pin. Our room was well appointed and the bathroom spacious with an oversized shower. The internet was free and fast enough to check email and do basic WWW surfing. The free breakfast was as you might expect, not extensive but everything was hot and well prepared. I'd stay here again without reservation, its a great choice when passing thru this part of the world. One tip, its worth traveling into the old part of DuBois for dinner. read more

Decided to stay here as part of a date night the night before my fiancée and I headed to the hospital to deliver our first baby. The hotel is very clean and neat, the staff is very friendly for the most part and the rooms are very nice. My only complaint is the plumbing... We stayed in room 201 and any time the room above us ran water for a shower or anything, it sounded like the pipes were banging off of the walls about every 15-20 seconds the entire time they had running. The only reason we stayed this night was to get a good nights sleep and be closer to the hospital for our drive in the morning... And that didn't happen. No amount of customer service or nice things can make up for a terrible night of sleep. If you stay here, I'd recommend staying on the 3rd floor where hopefully this isn't an issue. read more

For a frame of reference regarding this review you must know that I a cranky old cynic who expects the worst in people. Further, I'm a jerk because although I depend on reviews to make decisions, I never take the time to leave one. I did not choose Fairfield Inn, it was just the closest place to get my car to as it began to overheat on I-80 but I'm very glad that's where I ended up because the hotel is nice and the people are fantastic. Two employees in particular, Karen and Kristen, went way above the call of duty to assist me with my dilemma and I would be remiss if I didn't leave a review and mention them. The free water bottles and the lime water in the lobby were nice perks. I would expect them in a higher priced hotel but Fairfield is reasonably priced. My room was clean, there were plenty of towels, and the shower was warm. Free breakfast was an added bonus. If you need a hotel in or around DuBois I highly recommend Fairfield. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Called the hotel directly to make sure they had two pack n plays available for our twins and also told them we would not be in until after midnight. Arrive to find only one pack n play so clearly the staff at this hotel are unreliable at best. I usually prefer marriotts but was a bad move for this town. If you need a reliable place to stop go to the homewood suits nearby, they promised and delivered two pack n plays during our last trip. read more

As other reviewers have noted, this place is nice. Heck, it's almost too nice to for a Fairfield Inn. Traveling as much and as widely as I have, I've stayed in actual Marriotts that aren't as nice as this place. The rooms are big and come with a mini-fridge. Pillows are plentiful and actual down. Bedding is soft and mattresses are not worn out. Temperature control works flawlessly. Bathroom was big and bright. Breakfast and wi-fi are free. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Seriously, you cannot go wrong when staying here. If I have one complaint, it's my usual: Please provide more fresh fruit options with breakfast. I mean, bananas and apples are fine, but a little citrus in season wouldn't kill you, would it? read more

One star is too much not because of the way the hotel looks but the experience we had and the attitude of one employee. When we arrived I complemented about how nice the lobby was and asked if it was a new hotel, Chris and the other receptionist said no, it was 6 yrs old but the staff was very proud of their work. We got to our room, first thing we noticed there were no toiletries, very very little toilet paper in the holder, I figured the cleaning person forgot and sent my husband to get some from the front desk. My husband went to sleep and I stayed up, watching tv in the chair, until 2 am, got in bed and smelled this cheap powerful perfume, started smelling the sheets and then the pillows and only ONE had the smell which means someone used that bed and maybe that's why we had no toiletries. I could do nothing at the time, I need a handicap room, so where we to go? I did not sleep so we were at breakfast before 6:30am, something I never do because I stay up late at night, so very nicely I asked to speak to the manager, was told she comes in at 9: am, told I wanted to hear from her but at check out time I asked for her again and the same receptionist said " I put your complaint outside her door " I said she did not call me, she said she is busy and the door is closed, how did she know that since she never moved from her chair, I told her I will be giving them a bad review on Yelp, she looked at me, shrugged her shoulders and said "go ahead " what kind of service is that ? read more
