He was also interested in understanding my history. His diagnostic skills were impressive, quickly identifying my issue and providing reassurance that it could be addressed with approachable daily exercises and a topical gel. I left feeling confident that my needs had been responsibly addressed and with hope that my nagging pain and discomfort will soon be in the rear view mirror.

However, the last time I ordered duplicates, the order was lost and it took over 2 months to get the replacements, then the doctor wasn't available and they still weren't exact replicas. It was a huge hassle both getting them fit and making an appointment with the podiatrist. The podiatrist blamed it on the company that makes them. I have used this office for several years, but my recent experiences have soured me and I'm not going to return.

I'd like to start by saying I strongly dislike posting negative reviews. I let the first five or so…read morenegative experiences/interactions here slide - because, hey, we're all human. But after my interaction today - enough is enough. Poor experience. I was seen for a broken bone in my foot. I am aware that my insurance covers almost nothing - so from the beginning gently inquired about fees (for example the walking boot, which I was ASSURED would be covered by insurance - and then, as I expected, wasn't- that cost $350). This wasn't invited by the lady at the front desk, who only continuously urged me to 'not worry' about it. The exams lasted about 30 seconds, and weren't comprehensive. When you call the phone number (ON THE BUSINESS CARD) any time besides business hours, somebody answers like it's a residential phone, then BARKS another number for you to call and "LEAVE A MESSAGE!" The doctor pushed a 'natural' anti-inflammatory cream at me which I purchased for $30 against my better judgement - without explanation. I requested an additional radiograph of my foot (out of curiosity - for my own purposes to view deformed bones). The image I was given is so dark that almost nothing is visible- I inquired, hoping to receive at least a partial refund of the $58 patient portion it cost to which the front office woman, Carmen said to me "Some x-rays are darker than others, that's just the way it is, THANK YOU, goodbye." (...to my face, mind you). ...I'm a health care provider, expected to expose and interpret (oral) radiographs daily. It's overexposed, or their developing chemistry is off. Nondiagnostic - but more than that disappointing because I was really excited to see it/use it to make something cool. There are more negatives, but this post is already too long. The POSITIVE: The woman in charge of accounts (who tucked back on the left) was VERY professional, patient, and knowledgeable regarding my bill (the patient portion I was urged 'not to worry' about)- which was NOT easy to understand without her direct guidance (apparently due to the software they use, she said). She was the most professional individual I encountered there. Hands down.

I came to Dr. Poggio's office because of a sprained left foot which had been bothering me for some…read moremonths. The first visit, which lasted perhaps 45 minutes consisted of an x-ray and the doctor taping my foot. A day later I had to remove the tape because it was causing my foot to hurt more than it had before. The second visit was to relay what had happened with the taping, and the doctor suggesting some padding in different spots on my shoe insert to help. Once again this proved to not help. After that second visit, I did not return, and I have since approached the problem in my own other ways. What I found extremely disappointing was the bill for those two fairly short visits, with no obvious improvement. This office billed Medicare $955.89 in total, of which $396.72 was billed just for walking in the door for the first visit. I am revolted at this taking advantage of Medicare and our Medicare system. It's frankly a shame.

Location isn't bad and there is a very small private parking lot. There is plenty of parking around if you don't mind walking a little. Lots of services offered inside the building, not dedicated to podiatry. Very happy to have found this practice and highly recommend.

Actually the review is listed as being for the office (which will go nameless here), but the review was based solely on Dr Battula. "I walk quite a bit, for exercise and for enjoyment, but I'd always "self-treated" and "self-diagnosed" for any foot issues until my first visit to a podiatrist a few years ago, when I went to Dr Battula to see what could be done about some fairly dramatic calluses I'd developed. She was able to help me with getting some quick results to lessen the problem, but also with longer term strategies to further reduce the calluses and to discourage their reappearance. And although the calluses had been my "presenting problem," Dr Battula was also able to diagnose a "hammer toe" issue I'd had for years on both feet, which I'd assumed was something I just had to live with. She recommended some simple and inexpensive toe splints which made a world of difference. That's already more personal medical information than I'd intended to give, but I've since had minor "sports injury" issues for which Dr Battula has quickly been able to recommend simple and practical exercises or treatments. Dr Battula is easy to interact with, and I highly recommend her for her competence and professionalism. I now see that if I'd started seeing her (or an equally skilled podiatrist) years earlier, I'd have saved myself considerable discomfort." I was very pleased when I learned that Dr Battula would now be practicing at Bay Area Foot and Ankle, and I've continue to benefit significantly from her treatment and advice.

Dr. Mihok was a shot in the dark. I needed to get my son a Podiatrist and didn't have anyone to…read moreask for a reference. This doctor is wonderful! In just the first visit, he adjusted my sons inserts and now the seed corns that were chronic are GONE! On the follow up visit, since the adjustments worked, the doctor made them more permanent. Dr. Mihok didn't make the inserts. Another podiatrist did. The seed corns were a problem then and the advice I was given was to buy some "compound W". Oh, and it's not a fix and might not work at all! All I had to do was point out the issue to Dr. Mihok and he knew just what to do. He also addressed an issue with a joint of the Great Toe. Now my son is walking again with joy and enthusiasm. You should know that my son is nonverbal. I had no idea that his big toe was giving him any trouble. I have to guess at everything unless I have a professional on board that really wants to help. I can only imagine that if you can communicate your problems clearly......or not, Dr. Mihok is going to fix your feet problems the very best he can. I would recommend him and that's why I'm very happy to give him 5 stars.

I have experienced ingrown toenails and bruised toenails from sports for years. Dr. Pursnani was…read moreable to treat the ingrown toenail in such a way that it did not come back. She also treated my bruised toenails to relieve the pain. She gave me some helpful tips and a toe sleeve to prevent sports injuries in the future. In addition to these injuries and ailments, Dr. Pursnani recommended calf and heel cord stretches when I was dealing with heel pain after working out. I had been stretching post workout and she recommended pre-workout routine after a short warm up. I enjoy an active lifestyle. In the past these foot ailments have been roadblocks. Dr. Pursnani treated my problems in such a way they were not only healed but put me on a path not to experience them anymore. Finally, Dr. Pursnani is very easy to talk to.
