I'd done my own initial research and felt confident I had a case, and a friend in my industry, who had gone through something similar, referred me to Laura. She spoke so highly of Laura and her team that I decided to reach out. From my very first call, I knew I had found the right person. Laura listened intently, asked smart and strategic questions, and quickly framed what the strongest case would look like to recover the funds that were legally owed to me. While the process itself was stressful, I was genuinely shocked by how seamless Laura and her team made everything feel - and how fast they moved. I expected the situation to drag on for months, but they resolved it in a matter of weeks. I hope I'm never in a position where I need an employment lawyer again, but if you're reading this feeling confused, frustrated, or unsure about whether to hire one, call Laura and her team. I did not know the first thing about hiring a lawyer let alone talking to one. A good friend of mine told me to contact his attorney, Anita Ventrelli. He told me that even if I hired her for a one-hour consultation, it would make a world of difference and help give clarity to the situation. As I am writing this and thinking about it, in my most sincere and heartfelt matter, his words could not have rung truer. From the first moment I walked in her office, Anita was professional and compassionate. She helped me sort through and answer all of my questions. She explained the law to me and what to expect, and told me what I needed to do. I walked out of the office with a feeling of reassurance that things were going to be ok. Her experience and understanding of the law blew me away. She is amazing and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome of my case. I have found Anita to be one of the kindest, most honest and good people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Anita along with her entire firm, Schiller DuCanto, and Fleck are at what I deem the pinnacle of practicing law. Anita Ventrelli by far is the best family law attorney in the City of Chicago!

I worked solely with Elise Yu and Thomas. I am very grateful to have found them. After Thomas reviewed my evidence and clearly saw I was not in the wrong he called the attorney immediately and spoke to him. Let me just say that Thomas put the opposing attorney in his place (in a good way). He's very knowledgable, kind and knows what he is doing. Since the other side really has no case against me, I've been in contact with Elise the most as we are just playing the "waiting game" until they come back with a counter offer or something (I am not a lawyer, so I don't know all this legal jargon.). On top of being super responsive with all my questions, Elise has also helped me with a few other things as a courtesy which speaks volumes to her work ethic and service. No matter what time I have e-mailed her, she always responds right away in the morning. She is very kind, compassionate and really wants to help. Now, I have not had to go to court and won't have to, so I can't speak on that. What was done was mostly communication, back and forth talks about settlements and all the other legal stuff/laws lawyers need to do and know. I would recommend this law firm to anyone in a heart beat (in fact, I already have!). Especially Thomas and Elise. Those two together are great! I've left many reviews before, but this one is one of the few I felt the most compelled to write as dealing with the law is totally different than dealing with a restaurants service. I rarely give out 5 stars, but they truly deserve it!

If my case wasn't something they could work, they could have told me that months prior and given me a chance to work with someone else. Now I have to start at square one with a case that's months behind. A little communication about what's happening would have been nice. An explanation as to why they wasted so much of my time would have been even better. They did neither. Shame on this firm and their incredibly poor customer service. I'd give zero stars if that were an option.

Let me just say this first to save you the trouble of reading the rest of my review:…read more Mr. Uche is an amazing lawyer and when he says he will win your case - he will! Pay whatever the man is asking for his services and hire him. Now, that we've got that out of the way, I can explain why. My hubby and I have lived in Chicago for 10 years now. Since then, we've met a lot of great people. Some of them are amazing law / police officers. Unfortunately, my hubby has crossed paths with a few invidious police officers that lead to him hiring Mr. Uche on two separate occasions. The first dealt with a DUI sting where the officers were arresting almost anyone who drove pass their "trap". My hubby called me after they pulled him over and told me to come get the groceries he had just picked up from the store. When I came to pick them up, the officers assumed I had driven through their "trap" and were going to arrest me until one officer had a conscience and told the other officers I came from a different way (and he let me get the groceries out of the car my hubby was in, too). They arrested him that night without giving him a breathalyzer. My hubby originally contacted several other lawyers that told him they didn't think they could do anything to help him. When my hubby went for his first court date, we saw Mr. Uche in the hallway of the courtroom and my hubby ask for his business card, explaining to him what happened. Mr. Uche said, "that's easy - we'll beat that case without a problem." My spouse and I talked about it that night and we both noticed he was the ONLY lawyer of all the ones my hubby spoke with that sounded even remotely confident about helping an innocent person be found not guilty. That's when we both agreed it was best to hire him. And our intuition was right because Mr. Uche was able to almost effortlessly defend my hubby and he was found not guilty. The second case was related to my hubby being in a van with six other individuals he played basketball with. The van was pulled over for a broken cracked light/lamp. Unbeknownst to my hubby, someone in the vehicle had a concealed weapon(s) that they placed on the floor of the van at some point during the traffic stop. The officers searched the van because of the broken tail light. Instead of the officers charging all seven of the individuals (or even at least the individuals that the weapons were near), they charged my hubby. Again, my hubby called Mr. Uche and explained the situation. Mr. Uche said, "don't worry - we'll win it." AND my spouse was found not guilty. IF there's anything I can say we've learned about these experiences, it's: 1) Don't drive in Chicago; take the metra, L-train, or catch an Uber instead to avoid being wrongfully charged for something you didn't do, and 2) Hire Mr. Uche if you do get charged with anything! If he says he'll win your case and find you innocent - believe him! P.S. He's not one of those cheap lawyers with empty promises. If you're going spend money, at least spend it to actually win your case.

She begged me, before she passed to make this situation right for my children and their future, and to honor her parents that earned that money and designated it for their family, not a team of trustees and general partners. I hesitated to get involved, because it sounded so scary, but I knew it was the right thing to do. When I did my research, and decided to pursue the matter, I reached out to Andrew for help.
