It's no surprise. You're going to need a lawyer during this real estate transaction…read more "Oh great, another guy who wants to take my money. Whatever, I'll just use the guy my real estate agent recommends. They say he's great. One less decision I have to make." Well, here's what nobody tells you. An over-aggressive or mediocre or apathetic or over-booked or inexperienced or disorganized or unintelligent or inaccessible or careless or absent-minded or verbose or otherwise aggravating attorney can and will embarrass and frustrate and worry and disappoint and, worse of all, cost you. Sure, you can roll the dice. Maybe you get a good one. But if you want to make the smartest decision of your entire real estate transaction, find one that's none of the above. Yes, you knew it was coming. Hire Braun and Rich. We closed on the sale of our condo today. And in the moment when we needed them the most, at the closing table with an opportunistic, outrageous, unreasonable, junior associate filling in for the seller's main attorney, Matt Rich and Greg Braun expertly, patiently, confidently, and reasonably got it done. And this is all neglecting to mention how many times throughout the engagement I told my wife something along the lines of, "You could not pay me their entire fee to handle one of the fifty logistical, clerical, time-sensitive, detail-oriented items they handled today with such grace and humility and professionalism." If you're a first time home buyer (Matt did mine three years ago), a savvy seller (Matt just closed ours with last-minute help from Greg as mentioned above), or anything in between, you should hire Braun and Rich. Call them right now and hope they have the bandwidth to take you on as a client. You'll appreciate them countless times throughout the process.

I recently closed on a condo purchase and Greg was a tremendous guy to have on my team. Thoughtful,…read moreattentive, intuitive and knowledgeable. I could always count on a reply within hours whenever I sent an email or left a voicemail. Trustworthy and at a fair price.

Tom is one of the most unprofessional vendors I have ever worked with in real estate. Tom may try…read moreto say he didn't assist me, but he did assist me with purchasing a home in Dec 2019 and also was supposed to be my registered agent for 2019 on one of my LLCs where he alleged the documents were submitted and one year later I have penalties and found out they were never submitted and it was not recorded. Also worth noting that I followed up five months following that to confirm it was done, he said it should still happen because of the pandemic it was taking a while. He did zero-research and he was wrong. Now I have to pay for his mistakes. Tom does not like questions as it requires him to respond in a timely manner which his it appears he is lacking communication skills. Unless it is going to make him a substantial amount of money he doesn't want to respond and don't expect details--five word answers all day long. He will be your registered agent, but made it feel I was wasting his time. When I told him I used my other real estate attorney because I HAD TO SWITCH, he tells me "I am glad you found someone that would work for $200 a year". Funny thing is he works for $110/year so he must want the business...? The goal was to align with a young professional to build a long-term working relationship with. Lesson-learned, you are better-off with experience and if you feel something is off in the beginning--act on that feeling, trust your gut.
