I've visited in the past for my son and the haircut was good but not worth the money. On the business, if you're going to have a full size Mercedes van drive around with your business name on it, you should probably be sure that the driver knows how to drive versus running stop signs and cutting off traffic at intersections where the cross street doesn't have a stop sign. read more

Fade Factor Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

Celly has cut 3 of my kids hair now and does an excellent job! If you're wondering if he can cut a white girls hair... well he can! lol no really he cut my oldest daughters hair and she went back to Washington state happy as can be. She actually doesn't want anyone else to cut her hair lol. I love the loyalty! Anyway he cuts my boys hair and they are completely happy with how he treats them! They even come home and tell me about their convos! Perfect! Tytan and Kanon are thankful and so is this momma! It's a cool vibe! Ring lights. Welcoming. Cell is really great at communicating if he's running behind or anything! 5 stars! read more

I had an appointment at 10:00am. The barber was a no show. I didn't get into someone's chair until 11:00am. A barber was checking in with me every 15 minutes to see if I was good (think he was the barber manager/owner). I really appreciate that! I finally received a haircut however I felt like the barber was in a rush to get another person in the chair and I didn't feel like the barber took pride in his work. The haircut was $35 dollars and I paid $40. I had another $20 that I was willing to tip however due to the barber not taking his time and actually understanding my request. He did not receive the extra tip. I do plan on return to give it another try. I understand that things happen and the barber manager/owner was being helpful. Next time, I will expect wait a reasonable time for a haircut and the quality level of the haircut to be better. read more

Went in the barbershop and I called them for a appointment I waited for 2 hours then the guy in the back named Jake signaled me to sit then I sat. Then Jake gives me the haircut I wanted but he cut all my hair off! 0/10! Not the place to go to! Go to Charlotte or somewhere else to get a haircut! read more

My friend came here after having a very hard time finding a good barbershop to not only cut his hair, but truly take the time to listen to what he wanted. It was like every weekend he would try somewhere new and they'd always fuck it up more than the last, which was very disappointing to say the least - having waves, he puts a lot of work & time into his hair. Today he sent me a picture after coming to Fade Factor, truly didn't think this man could get anymore handsome but Fade Factor really did THAT Cleaned him up real fresh, sheeesh. 10/10 .. especially if you keep it swavey It also only cost him 15$! Only down fall would be the wait time, so I'd definitely make an appointment!! read more

This was my last haircut in Jacksonville and I wish I had known about Fade Factor. I tried this place because My wife saw someone in the gym with the nicest looking haircut she seen in a long time. She asked him where he got it and he said factor Fade Factor. I was hesitant because the last two years I've received on and off haircuts from random semi permanent barbers all around Jacksonville. I went in this time requesting a hard part for the first time. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was everybody in the place had a CLEAN haircut! Also, everybody who walked out had a Clean haircut! I Was called up and my barber introduced himself as STRAIGHT WITH A BLADE! He was a big black guy who talked to me the entire way back to his chair about how I wanted to have my hair cut. He immediately worked on my hard part and showed me where the natural line was. I was completely confident in his abilities. He was an artist! He was completely focused On each part of my head. At this point I left everything in his hands. Roughly 20 minutes later I had the cleanest haircut I've ever had! My wife took a video and I couldn't stop checking myself out in the review mirror on the ride home. I tipped the my Barber $15 plus $25 for a haircut. My wife says this is the nicest haircut I've ever had in my life! It's a shame that it took this long to find a haircut that stood above the rest. Do you want a haircut so fresh that you pop when you walk in the door whether you're in the Marines or you're out in the club, or in the gym? Go to Fade Factor and talk to STRAIGHT WITH A BLADE! Fade Factor is on point! read more

Mario (the owner and first chair) is the best barber in town and maybe one of the best in the country. Seriously. The shop, which is kept very clean, looks nice and modern. Make sure you get an appointment in advance because he stays booked up!!! His number is the shop number. Don't think of this shop for getting a 5 minute hair cut...these guys take their time to ensure quality and percision you won't be dissipointed. read more

Fade Factor Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

If you want a shitty haircut fast and cheap go to any of the 10s of other shops around Jacksonville. If u can be patient and pay 15-20 for a good haircut go to fade factor. I've been there a handful of times and it wasn't as busy as the reviews say. maybe you all should stop doing walk ins on saturdays and sundays and expect not to wait. I usually go on a Thursday or a Monday and get attended right away. In reality haircuts are usually $15 and up it's just that people get used to these shitty 5-10 dollar haircuts around marine corps bases where they worry about quantity and not quality. Fade factor is the closest thing to a real barber shop in Jacksonville. I can't give it a 5 because its not perfect compared to barber shops outside of Jacksonville, but it out-performs any other shop around the area. read more

Great haircut. Not the normal place around Jacksonville. Opens early so it helps that problem.

Fade Factor Barber Shop - Fade Factor - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

It's been a long time coming, I have searched high and low for a GOOD barbershop in Jacksonville NC. Been to many different barbers all over the world and never struggled as much as I have here in finding a talented barber - who could properly cut my hair.. TILL TODAY. I walk into Fade Factor and right off the bat it's a uniquely structured barbershop, you can't see any of the barbers while in the waiting room & this can make choosing a barber kind of difficult if you know nobody there. The employee at the front desk asked if I was a walk in and I told him yeah, he then asked if I knew who I wanted to cut my hair, I told him no but someone who can cut waves, he said I got somebody for you BUT it will be a 45 minute wait. Now RECOMMENDATION to anyone coming to Fade Factor who has an issue with waiting .. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. With that being said, I waited for just about an hour, which on a Saturday I kind of expected a wait...I must say the wait was well worth it. A guy named Trinidad cut my hair, he asked me what I wanted, and went to work. He took his time to make sure the fade came out good and even asked for my input before doing something to my hair that he wasn't sure if I'd like or not. Note:Nobody left that barbershop with a bad haircut my entire time there. Before I left, the barber gave me his information and the info of another barber who would do good with my style of hair Incase he was either booked or out. Everyone was respectful, the place was clean, and honestly the only downside is the wait for walk in customers and they know this which is why they do appointments. Wanna know the best part? This high quality haircut was only 15$ If you are struggling to find a barbershop home like I was please visit Fade Factor, you won't be disappointed. read more

Fade Factor Barber Shop - 360 Wave Low Skin Fade - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

$30 dollars for a "fade" was already too high, and you would expect to at least get a good fade here for that price. NOPE!! Guy literally just drew a line around my head and he thought that it was complete. I cant believe these people let you walk out of their store like that. I do not recommend it here at all read more

Idk about the rest of the barbers here but from my experience with Lopez il be coming back for sure. Charges $25 but it's quality Over anything when it comes to getting my hair cut. He was on time and professional. Not sure who to go with?Lopez is def a good barber to try out. read more

You have to know who to go to! The guy who cut my hair spent like 10-15 mins "fading" it and didn't even offer to style it afterwards. Definitely not a $20 haircut! They do have some good barbers that take their time and do style it, like Lopez and a couple others who I saw while I was there, but I guess some of them just don't take pride in their work. Absolutely terrible fade. I wouldn't even pay $5 somewhere else knowing this would be the outcome. read more

Customer service should be a thing. Not worth my time to sit for 20 min before even being greeted. Don't bother unless you have a appointment with someone actually qualified. Better off just going to another shop where they care about customers. Had a bad experience here the first time. Figured I'd try it again. But yet again. read more

Great place with barber owner Mario, and barbers Trinidad and Andrew. My 14yr okd and 5 yr old goes there when we have time to make appts. Only thing about this place is if you dont have an appt it can take about 2-3 hrs as a walkin. Recommend making appts with your stylist. Other than that i def recommend this place! read more

Why offer to make appointments if you still gonna wait atleast 2+ hours, makes absolutely no sense.

Listen this barber shop sux much I thought I was in the twilight zone. They gave me a horrible haircut I hate it so much. If this barber shop was the only thing stopping the end of the world than I would still put it out of business. read more

This place is a joke. I walked in and pulled out money at the atm which it says there is a fee but charges you an additional dollar so total is 4.50 to withdraw money. If you do decide to go here bring your money with you. I walk in a sit down for 20 mins with my daughter and they are taking pictures I guess for their company. A guy walks over to me and says are you waiting for a haircut and I said yes. He says I'm sorry we can't cut your hair today you need an appointment for today. Meanwhile there's like 3 barbers sitting around doing nothing the whole 20 mins I waited there. Didn't even say please come back or nothing. Fuck this place I won't ever go there again. You know it's bad when you don't even know the quality of a business and you won't go back because of how they act. An appointment .....what is the world coming to. read more

Just went in to book an appointment without a reservation I was helped immediately and TITO! This guy did a damn good job he slid me in between two appointments was really nice and communicated well the fade is phenomenal and he fixed the top too read more

TL:DR - If you have nothing better to do than sit and listen to music for 2-3 hours and socialize, this might be the place for you... If you get one of the three good barbers. It's unfortunate I have to hit these guys, but the reality of business is that your customer service needs to match your product. A guy named Mario owns Fade Factor, also cutting hair for his own clients. Jacksonville is full of bad barbers due to the Marine base and cheap haircuts. The average cost of a cut is $8-11. Fade factor starts at $15 for walk ins and $20 is standard for appointments. There are a few barbers at Fade Factor that have attention to detail and do a good job of cutting hair. Mario is one of them. The problem is that they have no formal training in efficiency or scheduling, and have a nonchalant attitude towards their customer's time. Some customers use this opportunity to chat with people and socialize, while others like myself have to strictly budget time to be able to get a haircut. For months, every week was a new problem. I would walk in at a specific time and always have to wait. I explained to him that I work full time, have a family, and am in school. I also pay $30 for a fade, which is more than I've seen anyone pay. Still, my appointments were regarded as flexible. Today that stopped and I will not go back. I drove 30 minutes each way from my home with my 5-year old son to make my 10am appointment. At 0959 He had a guy in his chair with at least 20 minutes left until he was done. He asked me to come back at noon to which I said I couldn't do it because I have a strict schedule. He said he couldn't see me until noon because he had more walk-in clients, and after confirming with him that he would not be keeping my appointment, I took my kid and walked out. For a business to take multiple walk-in clients and prioritize them over an appointment that was made 1 full week in advance is insane. It is such a gross violation of the principles of business that I cannot return out of principle. I have never in my life been turned away from an appointment until now. I am now budgeting time to drive to Wilmington where they keep appointments. read more

Scheduled an appointment, for an available time on a Barbers schedule. 30 mins prior to appointment they tried to reschedule it. I was the first cut of the day. I have used Booksby all over the east coast this was a first. Dont have times available if your not willing to make money. read more

They take forever here. The barbers need to learn customer service or just maybe open their mouths and speak to people. I have gone in with my husband and son a few times and waited 2-3 hours for a haircut The owner Mario doesn't get back to you when you text him for a appointment. My sister has taken my nephew here a good minute and her friend had to text him and set up an appointment for her with Mario because he texted her friend back but not my sister. Half of the barbers are good half still need training at barber school. If you don't have an appointment, don't bother going in. See Luis. He is a pretty good barber. read more

Slowest barbers alive period. Waited for an hour and a half before i finally left. Absolutely ridiculous. Will NEVER be back. Thanks for waisting my time. read more

I waited an hour to get a haircut before finally leaving. There was only 5 people waiting.

Don't believe the hype. Over priced haircuts and long waits for what should be quality work anyway! $12, $15, and $20 haircuts!? I hope that includes the tip! read more

Fade Factor Barber Shop - Nice fade! - Barbers Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

Fade Factor is, by far, the best barber shop in Jacksonville, NC. Dom Easily is sociable and does great work, well worth checking out!

Horrible service. I walked in with my 6 year old son who needed a simple haircut that Would have taken 10-15 mins. There were 4 or 5 barbers there, 2 of which actually had customers but not one person would help one. One guy wouldn't even take his face out of his phone when asked if he could cut my sons hair. His reply was "I have someone coming." And then the guy asked if I wanted to make an apt, no thank you sir. I understand that these guys might be very good but not one person is too good to have manners. I will never go here again nor will I be recommending them to anyone. read more

Don't bother coming if you don't have an appointment with one of the actual qualified barbers! I walked in and was taken to the back to three barbers who I didn't know were new at first until I over heard one of the barbers explaining how one of the guys ruined a customers head. This is the person who's chair I sat in mind you I did not know that he was the barber they were speaking of. Sat down everything seemed to be going fine Donnell "the barber" is taking his time and seems proficient. We spoke of how I didn't want my hairline pushed back he agreed and tried to accommodate, customer service was not at all the issue here. At the end of the session I looked in the mirror focusing on my hairline which he actually did a decent job at however when I left the establishment I noticed that my fade was on two different levels on each ear. I believe in new barbers getting experience however, allowing individuals to walk out without a proper inspection by another qualified barber is unacceptable I am here not only to give a problem but a solution. These new guys should be looked after by someone and the business owner is ultimately responsible. read more

My 2 teens have been going to fade factor for their cuts. Last night my 14 year old comes back from fade factor with his freaking eyebrows done!! That is unacceptable in my house! Why doesn't fade factor have a policy for minors? Minors should have a parents consent 1st if they want their eyebrows done. The barber did my 14 Year olds eyebrows and jacked them up! I called to complain and the owner/ wanna be barber that did it starts laughing on the phone! No consideration or professionalism! I'm not happy with what went down last night. To top it off my kids sat there 4 hours waiting! Parents make sure you are present when your children are getting cuts. The wanna be barber told me he has done 4 year olds eyebrows before! You're children might become gay going there. I do not recommend this barber shop at all! My rating is a freaking "0" I'm calling "BBB" I'm taking the steps necessary to shut them down!! read more
