Over the years I've had facials at some of the top spas in the country (Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, etc.) and so my bar is set high when it comes to the experience and expertise shown by the person providing the service. I've had two facials with Mary and each time she surpassed my expectations. She consulted with me upfront to discuss her approach and reccomendations and to make sure that she was in alignment with my skin goals. She's clearly very well informed about the latest trends as well as the tried and tested familiar facial processes. She used high-quality organic products and was specific with me about ingredients which gave me peace of mind because I've had unpleasant reactions to certain products and enzymes in the past. Once she started the treatment I was completely relaxed, she was efficient and moved through each step with seasoned hands. She also did an excellent job massaging my head, neck, hands, etc. which was a bonus because I have had good estheticians who were not good at the massage portions! I had requested a few extractions and was dreading that part because it can be painful but was pleasantly surprised by how gently she was able to do this. She would check in with me throughout the whole treatment making sure I was comfortable but not in an invasive way, I felt like she was equally comfortable whether I wanted to be chatty or just quiet. That is a true find in this field as small talk can sometimes feel awkward but I felt completely at ease with Mary. In conclusion, her consultative approach coupled with the quality of the treatment itself proved to me that she is a professional truly committed to her craft and I look forward to booking time with her again soon. read more
