She told me my skin is so bad that I'll never find a man, and how my dermatologist has been ripping me off for years and how she is an idiot. so my mom sent me to tami because my face was riddled with blackheads and acne (ugh tmi but how else can you review skincare?) and even though i'm basically usually ok with looking like a schlub, even i had finally had enough. her room has relaxing spa music and a plush green blanket over a heated table, and omg she is so thorough. i've gone twice now, and "deep cleaning" is no joke. she knows her stuff, she's highly professional, and she will clean every last pore on your face. the first time i had a lactic acid peel that she made with a mixture of fresh fruit... apparently this is how they do it in russia? idk but it smelled/felt great and i looked like a new (much cleaner, more attractive, generally improved) person afterwards. i also had my eyebrows + upper lip done last time - i'd never been waxed before, so i was kinda scared, but she was really quick, my eyebrows are so good even male family members are complimenting me (!!), and i had barely any swelling or redness later that day. and my skin is really sensitive! in conclusion, i'm really pro-tami, and like, so is everyone who has to look at my face. read more

I'm writing this to warn people of this woman. She is completely incompetent. I went to her for a facial, my first ever. She didn't ask me any questions at all about my skin routine or anything and literally immediately started doing extractions..without prepping my skin in any way. She was using her bare fingers and I was in agony, but not having had a facial before I lied to myself that this must be normal. She applied some kind of offensively fragranced products and never even told me what they were. She's very difficult to communicate with. When I saw my face..full of lumps, redness and scabs I started to cry and she said I was dramatic. I'm too g to see my dermatologist and am hoping there isn't any long lasting damage but my face looks absolutely horrifying. Worse than anything I've ever seen. Please, please steer clear. read more

I've been going to Tami for facials at Amoy Salon & Spa for about a year, since they moved to the new location which is awesome, and I'm a regular now! I go without fail every 4-5 weeks and it's really helped me a lot with my problem skin. Tami is thorough with her extractions, and I admit sometimes it's a little more painful then others, but the end result is worth it! She uses great products, especially the cucumber/oatmeal calming mask she mixes herself from fresh ingredients. She talks to you as she works letting you know what she's doing and what products she's using, and changes the routine every time to meet the needs of my skin. There might be a couple days of redness after my facial initially, but nothing a little makeup can't conceal, and then it's gorgeous clear skin the rest of the month! read more

I started getting milia (small white bumps under the skin) about 2 years ago. Nothing I did would make them go away. I even went to a dermatologist, who prescribed a topical cream but they continued to appear. Than I found Tami! Her facials are a life saver. She is able to get them all out (using her hands and a needle), and advises me to use products that actually slow them down from re-appearing. Just an advice, don't ever go to her. Maybe she needs more training especially for proper hand hygiene before touching client's face. I went for facial and as soon as i lay down she started pricking my face without washing her hand ( i saw her talking on her phone when i came in). She didnt even steam my face to open pores for easy pricking that's why im crying in pain. Yes, she removed most of my blackheads but i am taking a shower of her saliva because she talks a lot and it is splats directly to my face. Gross! Plus, this is the worst part, she gave me free wax for my brows and lips. Omg, she ripped my left side brow and i just realized it when i came back in my car and looked into my mirror. WTF! She almost removed my brows my waxing and trimming it. I am so mad but nothing i can do so i ran to wallgreens and bought a eyebrow pencil! Now i am thinking if my brows will go back again. She didnt stop talking from start to finish and it is really annoying. I am wondering why the reviews said her clients followed her from Hilton. read more
