I immediately thought of the Repair Lounge down to the their catchy radio ads. First up, it's pretty easy to find, opposite the junction of Tates Avenue on the Lisburn Road. If you're driving park on one of the many side streets rather than trying to get a space on the Lisburn Road. The shop itself is minimal, you walk in and you are presented with platformed area, don't let this put you off, that's where the phone fixers sit. When I went in (about 3pm on a Monday) the two guys were noticeably busy, one on the phone and one in the middle of dissecting an iPhone but I waited patiently. Once they were free I asked how much and how long it would take to get my phone screen repaired. They then explained to me that it varied from £100 - £140 depending on the quality of the glass used for the screen. This didn't put me off as I expected it to be in that area. What did put me off was the wait - they explained that they had a huge back log of phones to repair and with Monday being delivery day I couldn't get it repaired straight away. This wait made me go somewhere else, but the experience wasn't bad at all. I understand that it's a skilled job to fix these devices and that Monday is their busiest day - especially after all the weekend smashes! Cool set up and really knowledgeable staff - I'll be back no doubt!

Phones 4 You offer competitive prices and deals on all the best phones from various different networks so it means you have a varied choice of networks instead of going to one network provider and them shoving their products down your throat. The staff in here generally know what they're on about so you'll be able to get a good enough deal if this is what you're after. Personally, I would recommend trying the Carphone Warehouse as generally they offer better deals and the staff are better trained and more knowledgeable. But the two shops are different in their own ways and one may suit you more than the other. If you're interested in the latest mobile technology then pop in here and see what's on offer.

They do a decent range of second hand games, consoles, mobile phones, cameras etc. If you need to sell something, you'd be better off doing it elsewhere, via ebay/gumtree etc, unless you are desperate for money right now, as they don't pay much and you'd definitely be missing out!

The staff generally know what they're talking about, though I've been here before and been greeted with blank stares when I ask about a particular product. This is, more often than not, a rarity though I would like to think that the staff here are regularly trained and informed about the new and updated products. Apart from being nosy there isn't much else this shop can offer me so it's maybe better reviewed by a customer on the network. All in all it's a well run though small shop but I guess it doesn't need to be any bigger as all it sells in mobile phones which are increasingly smaller and smaller. After having a good nosy round the 'big shops' and being shocked at the prices and still not convinced I was buying the right thing in the first place, I thought I'd try old school and went in here. The man serving me was brilliant, finding not only exactly what I needed but at half the price of the global retailer. And he had all the chat, one of the nicest things about shopping local. So if you have an ancient hoover they don't make anymore and have run out of bags or like me have random lights that blow as soon as you think of having guests, give these guys a shot- they are bound to have it.
