Very disappointed in the service we received last weekend for my daughter's 3rd birthday. I…read moreoriginally contacted their offices at the end of May to ask about the date of July 1st. I requested a Princess Tiana for my daughter's "Princess and the Frog" themed birthday party. I was told as long as they could receive the dress from their manufacturer on time, they would be able to send a Princess Tiana on that date. About a week before my daughter's birthday, the actress reached out to me via text asking me questions about what she was supposed to wear, when she would be getting paid and other company internal questions. I thought it was strange, but she seemed sweet, just a bit confused. I reached out to them and asked that they contact her to answer her questions because she seemed a little lost. The day before her birthday party, I received a call from their office stating the Tiana gown was ruined so my options were: 1. Get a different character (For her themed party? No thanks) 2. Get a refund (After my daughter has been told for a month that Tiana would be at her party?) or 3. Have the actress arrive in just a pink gown. None of these options were ideal, but less than 24 hours before her party, what choice did I have? Day of her event: Tiana arrived late with a Dollar Tree bag of watercolor "face paint". This was surprising and disappointing because we chose face painting as an activity so we assumed the face paint materials would have been provided to the character by the company. There wasn't any Princess training nor did my daughter receive a tiara-another item on my invoice but wasn't delivered on. Tiana did help hand out cake, and she took pictures and sent them to me. The accumulation of the final 24 hours I dealt with this company is the reasoning behind my scoring of them. I will say the actress was very sweet, and although my daughter questioned where her Tiana gown was which bummed me out; our gripe is with the company and how everything was so poorly executed.

Jennifer went above and beyond to assist me in coordinating the perfect Star Wars surprise for my son's 5th birthday party. She was there to answer any and all questions every step of the way! There was not a single detail left uncovered which made for a flawless and stress free day. The Storm Trooper was right out of a movie, wow! The costumes for both him and Princess Leia were AMAZING and their performance was nothing short of incredible. The kids were so excited and engaged. They absolutely loved Jedi training, followed by face painting by Leia. The icing on the cake was having both of them lead the party in an unforgettable "Happy Birthday" song before cutting the cake. It was the best birthday party yet thanks to everyone at Party Princess. I highly recommend them and will definitely be working with them again for our next event!

I am genuinely disappointed to write this review and cannot recommend Ren Newey or 36th Street…read moreEvents. Our kids hired this planner, and from the very beginning there were warning signs-but the scope of the issues that unfolded went far beyond anything we could have anticipated. From not remembering meeting the groom after a one-hour introductory call, to ongoing disorganization, to inconsistent and frequently changing pricing, the experience was stressful throughout. We were quoted inflated costs for items such as generators-significantly higher than what we were able to negotiate ourselves-and were directed to vendors whose pricing was nearly ten times higher than identical products available on Etsy. Despite being repeatedly reassured that all details were handled, several critical failures occurred on the wedding day. The string quartet never arrived because 36th Street Events sent their information to an outdated email address. Instead of notifying the bride, groom, or any parents about the mistake, recorded music was played without explanation. Requested site visits never happened, staffing was not confirmed, and as a result dinner was delayed by 60-90 minutes, guests had no water available, and the wrong song was played for the father-daughter dance. These operational missteps were extremely disappointing. However, the most troubling aspect was the unprofessional and at times blatantly rude behavior displayed by Ren toward parents, guests, and even the priest officiating the ceremony. Multiple guests approached us asking why the wedding coordinator was so dismissive and why, as family members scrambled to help guests during a sudden rain, she stood by and watched. Prior to the bride and groom entering the reception, Ren told the groom he should button his jacket so he "didn't look fat." All of the above are just a few examples of the disappointment. For an event as meaningful as a wedding, professionalism, organization, and care matter enormously--and sadly, these were consistently lacking. After our bad experience, I did see another similar review for Ren on this platform.

We used Jaime's full planning services in addition to the day of coordination that was included in our package from Vista West Ranch. From the moment we met her, the search was over. She isn't just doing this to make a buck, she genuinely cares for the people she's working with, takes the time to get to know them, and works relentlessly to make your day perfect (and ours sure was). She felt like family to us. It's not just her kindness and attentiveness, but it's the fact that she's a local who knows this market, these people, and who to call. We worried about absolutely zero through the planning process because we knew that Jaime would be able to solve any issue that was to come up. She lets you make all of your own decisions, and only guides you when you're unsure. There is no one with the experience and knowledge she has, and no one who cares like she does; and you, and everyone at your wedding will see and feel this.
