The Magician Black Bert - Bert performing for all ages! - Magicians Near Me - Austin, Texas

My son wanted to have his 9th birthday party at our home which initially made me nervous. How were we going to keep 10 9 year old rambunctious boys busy and entertained for hours? Magician Black Bert to the rescue! He kept the boys engaged and entertained! First he taught them magic tricks and each child got a bag to take home to do their own tricks! He then put on a show that left them all amazed! He really excelled at putting on a great event. Pricing was reasonable and his communication prior to the event was great. Would highly recommend hiring him for parties with kids! read more

Great program ! Great party for my 6yr old twins !! Highly recommend !! Great gift bags too!

First of all Mr. Black Bert came as a savior for my girl's 6th birthday. We had booked another magician for 6 pm and at around 4:30 PM , he messages me saying he is covid positive and has to cancel unfortunately. We called multiple magicians from internet for the next 30 minutes and then we got hold of Mr. Black Bert. He was so kind, very responsive and was luckily available to come in. He showed up at 5:40 PM and started the show at sharp 6 PM !! And then the party was suddenly back on and, what a show !!!! Laughs and tiny little giggles, and wonders and surprises, kids and adults were equally awestruck !! He gracefully ended the show on time and left us all huge wide smiles on our faces and hearts ... thank you for being kind and existing!! Hope you reach great heights !! read more

Great fun and amazin magician . He know how to cheer up the kids of all the age groups .

Magician Bert was amazing at my son's 8th birthday party. All the kids along with the adults loved him. He did the show indoors and the backdrop that he brought was perfect to set up the mood. My son loves the Magic book he gifted at the end of the show. I wish he had a "The End" visual for ending the show for the younger kids. read more

Black Bert put on a magic show and taught magic lessons for our grandson's birthday party last Saturday. He kept over a dozen 7-years old engaged for both the lesson and the magic. The kids were delighted with their little "bags of magic tricks." One little girl went home and sat her dad down so she could ceremoniously perform every trick. He said she wanted to sleep with the little velvet bag of tricks! Kids loved Black Bert and his magic!! read more

Great communication from the first email; On time and well prepared; couldn't really ask for anything else. read more

I hired him to entertain my daughter's 18th birthday at our home and entertain he DID! We were all amazed by his magic show and he left us stumped and bewildered how his did his tricks. It was an interactive show with humor. I was worried because I have a small living room but that was not even an issue. I am definitely hiring him again to preform at my younger daughter's birthday party! read more

Bertil does a wonderful magic show, and we are so glad that we hired him for our daughter's 8th birthday party. The kids loved the show, and having him as entertainment made the whole party experience so much easier for us. He is really experienced with children, and effortlessly commands the crowd, incorporating all of their questions and wiggles into the show. The show itself is extremely funny and entertaining; even all the adults watched the whole time. Bertil was very easy to work with, extremely professional, and an all around great choice. 10/10 would recommend. read more

We just had Magician Black Bert for my daughter's 8th birthday. I booked him based on the yelp reviews! I was a little anxious since I did not have any personal recommendations. However, I did verify he had done a party for a child at my son's previous school! Any way, booking was easy and he arrived on time. The kids had a blast from the 8 to the 12 year old! He was engaging, and kept the kids laughing and entertained which is what I wanted! He also made sure all the kids participated. Definitely recommend! read more

Bertil is really amazing. i'm so happy we hired him for our socially distanced magic show/ birthday party. It was outdoors, he wore a face shield and everyone wore a mask. He was engaging and taught them some tricks and then put on a show. I would hire him again. He is a professional and has done many many shows. It was also about 1.5-2 hours of fully engaged kids! Well worth the money! Thank you Bert!! Thank you so so much! My boys had a blast! We look forward to magic camp updates :) read more

Found on yelp and hired for my son's 5th birthday party. He entertained a group of 4-5 year olds and adults with ease. Excellent communication and arrived on time. Loved how he brought everything with him and set-up / take-down was quick and done without fuse. Highly recommend! read more

We hired Bert for our daughters 7th birthday party, and he was a huge hit! His approach included both a magic class and a magic show. The kids had a great time learning a magic trick before being amazed with several captivating tricks during the show. The adults were equally entertained during the show as well. Bert expertly managed a group of sugar-high six and seven year old first graders. We were impressed at how he was able to be both firm and patient while still keeping the show moving along and really engaging the kids by using lots of volunteers and interaction. Everything was age appropriate and clearly well practiced. There wasn't any bumbling or mistakes or failed tricks, but rather a clearly prepared and practiced approach that didn't feel scripted, but didn't miss a beat. Highly recommended! read more

We hired Bert for my son's 8th birthday party. Since we are new to the area we didn't have any references and we decided to go with Bert strictly based on Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. We went with the magic lesson and show option. Kids had a blast and we had many parents telling us that kids continue to do the tricks at home almost a week after the party. Bert was very kind to the children. He knew how to handle the second graders, some of them skeptics, some have already been to a magic show party, some simply not interested. He choose his tricks wisely to grab attention of all and surprised them. All got to participate doing the tricks and had a fabulous time. We highly recommend Bert! read more

Black Bert did a birthday party for our daughter turning 6, and it was absolutely fantastic! After he left, parents kept telling us this was the best kids birthday they have ever attended. He showed up on time, required almost nothing from us to get up and started. The kids loved him and he kept a routy group of 6 year olds focused and captivated. I highly recommend Black Bert! For a small charge he provides "goodie bags" for the kids. These were great - about 4-5 magic tricks and he walks through using all of them with the kids. read more

Black Bert gave an excellent performance at my son's 6th birthday party. We selected "Magic Theme Party" and it was an super choice. Bert is a great guy and an excellent magician. He did a fantastic job corralling 24 kids ages 3-10 who were enthralled with his magic tricks. The grownups loved his show, too. He engaged many of the children in his tricks which they loved and he is very funny. Equally as important: he is very professional to work with and an excellent communicator. I never had to wait long for a response to an email. I highly recommend him for your next party! read more

Black Bert's performance at my son's 8th bday was fantastic. The kids and adults were entertained throughout the performance.
