When I went to the place to pick up the "truck", they showed me a van. They had no trucks for rent at all. They quoted a low per mile rate on the phone and when I got there, it was $.60/mile higher than the quote. Then they tell me they close at noon so they won't be there when I get back, so I would have to come down another day to pay. But I won't be able to pay with anything but cash or check. I wasn't able to go pay on the Monday after renting it, so I get a call Tuesday morning asking me to come in and pay. I tell him I can make it today or tomorrow. He (the owner) says, "No, you will come in today to pay!" He asked what maintenance code my car showed, and I told him B-1, but I was very clear on the phone that I only wanted an oil change and understood that a full B-1 service would cost more. I also explained that I was already aware I needed new tires (TPMS light was on) and that my rotors may need replacing. When I dropped my car off, I again explained what I already knew my vehicle needed. While I was at work, they called to tell me about additional services--information I had already provided at drop-off. Dan who may have been one of the techs asked if I wanted my CVT fluid topped off. I declined, explaining I could handle that myself since it would be an extra charge. I also requested they plug a nail in my front left tire since the car was already there, even though I could have had it done for free at Honda. When I picked up my car, I was shocked to see that I had been charged for a full B-1 service, which I never approved or authorized. I genuinely believed I was paying for an oil change and a tire plug. When I calmly tried to ask for clarification and find a solution, Ken became extremely rude and aggressive, saying things like, "Do you think I'm spamming you?" and "Take your keys, take this, and never come back." I was not disrespectful--I was simply trying to understand why I was charged for a service I did not consent to. I paid for the services, but the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone who expects clear communication, honesty, or basic respect.

The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. I believe the guy's name is Amann, I will tell the story now: I live in Sheboygan and work in Milwaukee. I got into my Jeep and started on my daily trek to work, and about 15 miles north of this place, my gas light comes on. So I pulled off and headed into this gas station. Upon my arrival, I realized that I had left my wallet on my night stand. I talked to Amann (sp?) and asked him if I could call my Fiance' and get my card number and have him run my card. There was no way I was going to make it back home, OR to work and I was in a REAL BIND. He informed me that the way I was going to do that, was not allowed. But he reached into his own pocket and offered me 20$, I only took 10. There is a bank branch where the tellers know me in the area towards my work. I was so floored that a complete stranger, would help a person out and keep them from getting stranded. It restored a bit of faith in humanity that day. I obviously stopped back in the next day and returned the money. I plan on sending some food that way. A small gesture in a world where things like that dont seem to happen anymore.
