I have used this service 3 times now. All times were to print custom fabric designs. The first time ended up working out, although the fabric texture was not what I was expecting, I could made it work. I decided to return to them for another custom order since my design color print itself was not an issue. This time, the order was not of quality at all. I reached out to inquire why the color did not match the mock up we agreed to. After three separate inquiries, I received two responses back, both stating the same thing; "At this time, since the order was printed as submitted and approved, we would not consider this a manufacturing defect" then at the bottom of the email it states "Please note that screen colors may differ slightly from the final print"... When I inquired about the misleading verbiage of "slightly differ". I was met with the same non-collaborative response. At this point, I can't wait another three weeks for a new order to come even if I wanted to, but I had time to inquire about this issue so I can understand. Unfortunately, all I understand is that customer service/satisfaction is not of priority to them. At one point, I would tell multiple people if they were looking for custom made fabric, that this might be the best value on the market. Now that I've had to interact with customer service more directly and I've gotten the full experience I would not recommend this service unfortunately. read more

the worst experience. ordered a large print. took it out to work with it a couple months later, laid it out and the image is skewed and not square at all. contacted them they told me the only way to get a refund was to send it back. asked why their answer was " well because when we replaced an order someone also used the old one" lmfao. so what. if your product is shit why not let them salvage what they can? anyway they said they would refund me ALL of my initial costs plus my return fees. after they received the shitty fabric back they renegged on their promise and only refunded me the cost of the fabric. they told me i can get a credit for future orders. now tell me, why the hell would i ever order from them again? crappy product, crappy service. if i could give it, it would be zero stars. read more

Customer service is worse than poor - it is non-existent. The website has a phone number plastered on every page, but they will not answer it or respond to voicemail messages. After leaving an online query I finally got an email - scolding me that their "help" support was solely be email, no apology for my time and effort and waiting by using the phone number. And in that email, there was no meaningful effort to find out why I was contacting them!!! Wow, it was just too much to ask that they call me as requested. They lost the sale and this customer. I place an order for fleece fabric and receive some other fabric not fleece. Poor quality and fading and I have not even used it. I reached out to them to tell my disappointment and I never got a response. After several attemps they sent me a no return message. Horrible service and horrible quality work. read more

We have been ordering special design fabric for over two years on numerous occasions. After initially working out the design/color etc we have reordered by simply referring to the prior order as they suggested. That worked well for two years. Our last order however came in very different. When I questioned it I was told they don't guarantee a color match unless you pay $200. I no longer do business with them. And I would up with 5 yards of fabric that I was lucky to be able to sell. I still have a yard from a prior order that I probably can't sell. read more

Placed a large order 5-6 months ago. Life got complicated and I was only this week able to pre-wash the fabric hoping to start on my project. All of the fabric came out of the wash (cold, gentle detergent) faded and with white streaks running throughout. I emailed the company an explanation and pictures. They replied that because it's been 5 months since I placed my order and they cannot verify the conditions my fabric was stored in there is nothing they can do, other than 20% off a future order. Probably most people here know that, as sewing enthusiasts, fabric gets bought and stored, that's why we joke about hoarding fabric. Unfortunately, my order ended up being a complete waste of money, and the response from the company was laughable. Interestingly enough they don't have a review section on their website. I've ordered from several different fabric stores in person and online in the past, but this has by far been the most impressive: fantastic customer service, fabric, and delivery! The cotton duck fabric I purchased was perfect for my accent pillow project. I'm already planning out my next design, and look forward to going through Fabric on Demand again. read more

I've used fabricondemand.com a couple other times and it was an acceptable experience, but this time around has been one of the WORST experiences I've ever had with a fabric dealer. I have made literally hundreds of purchases for fabric because I am a custom clothier, but never have I seen such poor customer service. They take ZERO responsibility for their mistakes, they don't stand behind their work and have no integrity at all. I had to open a paypal claim against them, and reported them to the BBB. Yes. The first time I tried this site was to do a pic I took at a concert for a quilt I am making. It was just what I ordered, except for the autograph I supplied (actual signature) they pulled something offline that in no way resembled the signature. Oh well still came out well. Found that I needed a little but more to fill in the space, sent another photo of a collage I have going (ticket stubs, photos, guitar pics, etc) first piece was a fat quarter (18x20, perfect size) second one took a month receive when the website clearly says 10 days. Tried to reach them several times and could not get an answer or return call till much later in the day. Once someone called back they stated that the fabric was not in stock that I ordered and that it would be in some time the following week. I sent another message later the next week asking about the progress. The first email that I got back was that it was preparing to ship, later that day I checked the mail and there it was, well when I opened it to see how it came out, it was much larger than the fat quarter I ordered. When I tried to reach out to find out why, I was told that I ordered a yard. I said no I ordered the same way I ordered the previous piece. I also sent a copy of both receipts (identical in cost and info) she still insisted that I ordered a yard. NO I ordered a fat quarter design just as I did previously when I was told that photos are printed as a fat quarter. Now my quilt is ruined for the size of the second piece and she refuses to answer any other emails or calls. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING YOU PLAN OUT CAUSE THEY WILL MESS IT UP AND BLAME THEY WAY YOU ORDERED IT!!! read more

I've been using them for over a year and all of a sudden their fabrics is on back order, which is totally understandable but they waited a month to tell me on top of that they keep pushing back the due date I finally ask for a refund they keep ignoring my emails or its just they working on it...how long does it take to refund a money back it's been 2 months... sucks that I have to find another fabric company !!! read more

Get your fabrics printed elsewhere. To start their web uploader is pretty shoddy and wouldn't upload my .pdf file even though it met their file size requirements. Was able to send the file via email and got back a proof relatively promptly. I reviewed the proof for color & errors in the repeat but missed checking it for SIZE because when I received the fabric the scale was wayyyyy off! When I reached out to find out why the scale was changed even though I even gave the actual file dimensions in the "special instructions" field, they told me that because I sent a vector file it defaulted to a smaller size when proofed. Total BS even if I hadn't given the size instructions separately! How is it possible they do not know how to handle a vector file if they're in the business of digitally printing fabrics? They didn't own up to their half of the mistake and basically told me it was MY fault for not catching their error in the proof. Which in part it is, definitely my fault for trusting them to do their job properly. They gave me 20% off on a re-print but I am not satisfied with that resolution and am still seeking a refund on my original order. Will update my review if they can do the right thing, because the quality of the print and the fabric is just fine, but if they can't print what you request then you're just wasting your money (and this fabric ain't cheap!) TLDR version: Customer service & technical knowledge is terrible, printed fabric is fine. read more
