I'm sorry to have to write this review, but Bless The Mess left me no choice…read more I hired them to do a deep clean of my son's two-bedroom apartment while I was visiting from across the country. I explained to Suzanne (who I believe is the owner) that the place was in serious need of cleaning -- the bathroom was so dirty I couldn't even take a shower -- which is why I specifically booked a deep clean. About an hour after the cleaner arrived, Suzanne called and said the cleaner she sent (Layla, or possibly Haim) reported there was black mold and that she would need special cleaner and extra scrubbing. The original deep clean was quoted at $295, but they said it would be an additional $150 because of the mold. When I returned to the apartment, I was extremely disappointed. One of the bathtubs had not been cleaned at all, and the apartment was still very dusty in many areas. When I think of a deep clean, I expect someone to really get into the corners and thoroughly clean the space. To make matters worse, when my son turned on his computer monitor, we discovered the screen was cracked. The only thing that looked noticeably cleaned was the small kitchen floor, which was shiny. I texted Suzanne a video showing the untouched bathtub, but unfortunately I never received a response.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience…read more I booked this company 3 weeks in advance for a move-in cleaning. The appointment was reconfirmed by the owner on Thursday, 2 days prior to the cleaning scheduled for Saturday. I was specifically asked to ensure that no other workers were in the house while their team was cleaning, and we rearranged our schedule and coordinated everything accordingly as best as we could. At 5 PM on Friday--the evening before the scheduled cleaning--the owner called to cancel, saying there was an unspecified issue with her team. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I had been texting with the owner at 3 PM that same afternoon discussing which part of the house the cleaners would start with. At no point did she mention that there was an issue or even suggest that the appointment might be cancelled. I was told they could not accommodate us this Sunday or Monday either, despite the fact that we are moving in Tuesday. Her suggestion was essentially that she would "do her best" to send options if she came across any-- she didn't have another company she could personally recommend. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. What I find unacceptable is the lack of notice, lack of contingency planning, and lack of genuine concern for the significant inconvenience caused to the customer. Canceling a confirmed move-in cleaning less than 24 hours beforehand leaves a customer scrambling at the worst possible time. If you are relying on a company for a time-sensitive cleaning, this one will not deliver.

Why I couldn't give 5 stars: I explained that I needed a deep cleaning for 1br/1ba unit for post-construction and move-in and was quoted 2hrs- But I wanted a DEEP clean so I asked for 3 hours. The team said they were done after 2 hours and after they'd left, I saw they'd missed areas to be cleaned. In order to complete the cleaning, I had to go behind them and do additional cleaning in the bathroom and on the dirt on the floors/grout.
