This place customer service is a joke and the business runs like a scam. I signed up for a trial and emailed them to cancel my service TWICE within 14 days. I've never used the gym. A year later, I found out they've been charging my credit card for 11 months over $2000 of charges. I contacted them and they replied by email and phone promised to refund me with by check.Treated them with respect and understanding, I accepted their apology and find with the whole incident. A month later, I did not receive any check, NOT a dime. I followed up by email twice they did not reply. I'm really upset how they charged me over $2k for a service I cancelled. The run their business like a scam. The person I emailed was Eric who didn't cancel my membership not once but twice after I sent him an email. The person who handled my refund is David. The number I contacted is 317-308-0770. I can provide email and text of these conversations if anyone in the F45 franchise/company wants to investigate this mismanagement. I am really upset that they did not reply to my last email following up the check. It has been 2 weeks. read more

This is definitely one of the best gyms out there! The entire team is devoted to your progress and make the classes so much fun. I sincerely got my love for the gym back because of them. The f45 app is also great if you wanna supplement exercises at home. The f45 challenge is definitely worth it and we got so much support from the coaches there through the whole thing. David, Daniel, Maria and all the coaches there are just incomparable. I wish I could give it 15 stars! read more

+4 stars for a fun, intense-in-a-good-way workout. Super nice coaches who are also pretty fit, plenty of parking (at least at 7 am, hahah). Great music, sore the next day! -1 stars for the fact that it's a bit crowded and the trainers don't focus on form. I had a really lovely trial class yesterday at F45. Several friends had been raving about it for a while. Weekdays are 45 min: MWF are cardio days, TTH are strength training, and SS are a 60 min mixed class. I had a tough workout, sweated a LOT and today I'm really sore! Of course, that's the goal, right?! So I'm happy with that. The only thing I'd like to see them improve upon is being a little more mindful of watching our form. With three coaches to the entire class of about 30 people, I would've expected some support there. Especially with more complicated moves such as the Sledgehammers, rowing, etc. So, I wouldn't advise people brand new to working out to launch into F45 without prior training. I'd definitely go again and try out a package. Update two weeks later: I've now gone 5x. Still a great work out. Expensive but probably worth it if you go 5-6x per week. I standby what I said that it's not a beginners workout and you really need to know your form. The coaches will correct minor things like if your butt is too high in plank but not more nuanced things. They blaze thru the exercises at once in the beginning so just be careful and know your stuff. It's fun, fast, and intense. Everyone's super nice. read more

Great people working here with good energy; the only thing is the tiny studio feels dirty. People bumping into each other because it's so small and packed with back to back workouts. After you're done, no place to stretch, the next group of people get in for the following class. Bathroom is tiny and even the water filter had a coffee stain from I don't know how long ago. The staffs wiping down after people do their sets but still the floors are completely wet from sweat. But if that doesn't bother you then you'll get a really great 45 min workout. 3.5 stars read more

Great, intense place to workout. I burned close to 600 calories in my first visit. The rotation is very easy to get the hang of, and the quick pace will cause you to forget the time making that 45 minutes to an hour go by in a breeze. What I didn't like was the small training facility, that made me feel claustrophobic. During one station, I struggled with the amount of space to properly execute the workout. I think 23 stations were set up in a room the size of an efficiency apartment. There were 2 restrooms, one was overflowing with towels, the other was just tiny. There was also a leak in the roof caused by the rain that day or the day before. I find this workout fantastic. If it had not been for the lack of space, there's no doubt I would have signed up. For now, I'll stick with Barry's Bootcamp in Venice. It cost more for obvious reasons. read more

F45 has replaced my gym and personal trainer in one fell swoop. It's not the cheapest but it's definitely not as pricey as a personal trainer and really is almost equivalent in value. For those that have done HIIT before, this isn't anything new, and for those who haven't - prepare to kick your stamina, strength, and agility into hyperdrive. - Variety. Never get bored with your routine. The workouts are nothing short of insane... 10 completely different systems, changing every single day. At F45, you will never do the same workout twice. - Music. Love when they bring in live DJs on Saturday mornings to kick things into high gear but even on the regular weekday schedule all of the music keeps you moving. - Burn epic calories. In their Athletica / Tabata class you'll burn roughly 700-900 calories in only 45 minutes. - Team spirit. Folks working out here really make an effort to know each other's names, encourage people and keep spirits high even when every muscle hurts. - Quick. Every class is 45 minutes besides the Hollywood saturday class which is an hour long but also my favorite. - Eye candy. Lots of good lookin' bods getting their strength and cardio on here. Don't be intimidated. It's amazing and you'll feel great. Think they are still offering first 2 weeks free to try it out. The only bummer is that they don't have evening classes (last one is at 6:30pm) and I never get out of work in time. But I'll see you at the 7:15am class! read more

I used to be a dancer, a gym rat and all around stallion. I worked out my whole adult life up until about 3 years ago when I got depressed and just quit. Life, really. Thirty pounds later Ive finally gathered enough self-loathing to do something about it. Its hard to begin again for so many reasons but this place makes it easy. The trainers are kind and supportive as are the others in class. No, really. They really will help you as you flail about looking for station 9 which is nowhere near station 8. And it never gets boring. If youre ADD circuit training is for you: The music is great (key), there is 30 seconds in between sets and a different type of training each day. Then, boom! 45 minutes total and you're Audi 5000. Dread usually occurs when I think of exercising after so long but here I actually look forward to going which really is due to the quality of the training here. Two weeks free trial offer. I just wanted to start off by saying that this place is within walking distance of my house which is a huge plus. Free 2 week trial and you miraculously don't get hassled to sign up after the two weeks is done. I'm doing the 13 week summer special. Workouts are as challenging as you make them. No one is yelling at you to do more reps. Workouts are always changing. You go there and 45 minutes later you're done and feeling accomplished. I like switching up my workouts so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes in my body. The trainers are super friendly, not like they drank the kool aid friendly, but normal friendly. It feels like a little community. I'm a fan of HIIT. I like that there are no treadmills. For me this is a perfect workout solution right now. read more

So basically I am a little over 50, very unfit, looking to make a change. I went to F45 in Venice and my first thought was that I have items of clothing older than some of the people in this room, I don't belong here. I should go back to Soul cycle where at least it's dark and no one can see how out of shape I am. I nearly left, but everyone was really friendly, the instructors were very welcoming and non- judgmental. I've gone about 4 times a week for the last three weeks. Ok, so everything hurt for a bit, but I feel better and have more energy than I have had in years. 45 minutes is just about enough. The sets are always changing so it's never boring, you can go at your own speed. I started with the week free pass and have signed up for more. If you are looking for something challenging and fun. My newest workout obsession. I finished my second class this morning and I absolutely love it. If you have workout ADD - this is THE workout for you. You are never bored, you are constantly moving from station to station, and every workout has new moves! I was a little intimidated walking in for the first time but we were quickly welcomed into the group and I was able to relax almost immediately. Once the workout starts - you are so focused on the moves that you don't have time to worry about any of that anyway! Everyone is super friendly and the instructors are so great about coming around and correcting form and more important, words of encouragement. And they are really good about learning everyone's names so it feels like you are working out with friends. For my first workout, I did the "hollywood" which was an hour class with Mark and Lauren. It started out with a brief warm-up, then we did 27 stations at 40 seconds on, 15 seconds. There are 27 stations. Once you move through them all, there's a minute break and then you do it all over again. It was tough, it was fun, and it was addicting! Side note -- they have a DJ for this workout and she was killing it! Every song was high energy and great for the workout. Today, I did the "firestorm" with Scott and Lauren - this one is 45 minutes. 27 stations, 30 seconds on, 10 seconds off twice through. Another great workout that had a ton of new moves. I don't think i did a single repeat move from the Hollywood workout which was great! read more

I really liked this place before I learned it was MORE EXPENSIVE than Barry's or Orange Theory. A lot more expensive. THE GOOD: The workout is great and fun and you never do the same thing twice. THE BAD: 1) Instructors are pretty hands off, no one has ever corrected my form (which is far from infallible) so I'm sure doing this consistently would cause injuries. This isn't a huge deal to me - but I'm sure some people need a little more help with these moves that are really high intensity. 2) The facility is AWFUL. It's tiny and quite frankly, a dump. There are ZERO amenities (compared to the swag you get with Barry's) except they do give you white cotton towels (although I'm pretty sure you have to return them.) I didn't see a front desk. The workout space is so small, it is almost impossible to hurriedly switch stations without bumping into people. There are no lockers. I did not see a shower. If there is one, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't shower in it. There are two bathrooms that are the size of a hall closet. The one I went into has a toilet and a pedestal sink. I've had better experiences in McDonald's bathrooms. 3) There is no lag time between classes. What that means is that you are literally laying in everyone's sweat during the class (which is visible on the floor), because there is no time to clean the floor or equipment between classes. GROSS. I actually had to relocate during my workout so my hands were not drowning in someone else's pools of sweat. 4. It's outrageously expensive given the quality and standards set by other studios. For $320 for 10 classes I expect a LOT more from a studio. (Barry's is the most expensive and it's $280 for 10 classes). I am really not that difficult to please, and I normally would not be this picky about a facility, but I was so shocked when I discovered pricing that I could not get over it. read more

When I joined F45 Venice in November, I weighed nearly 300 pounds, was struggling with depression, and had no sense of community/family in LA. Now, ~4 months later, I've lost 40lbs and am happier than I've been in years -- and it's all due to the incredible workouts (and more so, trainers) who make you feel like a "part of something bigger" from day one. Currently, we're doing the f45 challenge and I've lost nearly 15 pounds in 6 weeks, with 2 more weeks to go! I just can't say enough good things about this gym and the people running it. Tanner and Brian will push your limits and have great recs for how to keep shedding fat outside the gym. Gabi and Sammy know form like the back of their hand and won't let you cheat--we have a love/hate relationship! And Haley and Jack are two of the nicest, most motivational trainers you'll ever meet. After having tried nearly every gym in LA, I can say that hands-down, F45 is the best investment you can make. I'm addicted. read more

My super fit friend/roommate was a F45 member and she kept asking me to try out a class with her. I couldn't remember the last time I had worked out so I was nervous and anxious to give it a try...but 1 day I did and I couldn't be more thankful!!! The classes are small, the trainers are so nice, always have a smile on their faces, they're ready to help when needed and most importantly, they're approachable and encouraging, never pushy or intimidating. I had never done anything like F45 and I fell in love with it. After my 2 week free trial, I immediately signed up for 6 months. Yes, it is a little pricey (especially for a full-time student) but I have zero regrets with this place. The workouts are different every day, combining cardio and weights. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are usually cardio focused and Tuesday and Thursday are weights (my favorite). Saturdays and Sundays are a mixture. They have classes as early as 6:15am so its nice to get in early and know you're done for the day, but they also offer evening classes so you can hit a double when you're up for it. I personally dropped 30 lbs in the first couple months here and gained visible muscle mass over the last 6 months. I HIGHLY recommend this place, it reminded me how much I enjoy working out and how fun it could be. *Note: Classes can sometimes, but rarely, get a little full, however they do have a capacity and registering for class beforehand is recommended. read more

Its so inspiring to see people of all ages, shapes, and sizes try classes and then stick around. You literally see people transform before your eyes. Great workout. 45 minutes or less, 9 stations, intervals. Lots of mobility, body weight, and the workouts are always different. You can make this workout as tough or easy as you'd like. It's a good compliment to yoga, snowboarding, surfing or cycling (or any sport really) I've been looking for something like this, stoked to find it. The people are also really nice. Classes can get a bit crowded, at least at noon when I have been going. They give you 2 weeks for free to get going, which is great. I'll be joining for sure. read more

I used to love this studio. Most classes are a killer workout. However, I won't be coming back. I am a ClassPass member and accidentally signed up to take class at the Santa Monica location when I walked into Venice. The guy asked to check me in and I told him my name but he didn't see it. Long story short he said,"lets see what we can do because I want you to workout," and headed to ask the woman instructor. She rudely looked me up and down (knowing I take class there on average once a week) and said, "sorry babe contact ClassPass its out of our hands..." paused and giggled, "sorry babe," again. First off I admit it was my dumb mistake booking the wrong class (I have done this once before at a different studio but they still let me take class) and honestly in my opinion, there are plenty of studios that would want you to workout for free ONE time then to deny you taking a class...rude. read more

This place is great, I personally lost 70 pounds here and the attitudes of the trainers definitely made it easy. Jack is the absolute man, that debonair irishmen. I dreaded going to the gym, but this place made it work for me and for my schedule. IT IS EXPENSIVE, I can not lie. But I went every day or close to it, so it came out to like 10 bucks a class.
