The good thing about that is I get to meet and get to know everyone who goes there. There are several things that I love about Ethos: 1) The people are amazing. I can't think of a time where we did not have enough weights for everyone. There are some gyms that aren't well equipped and this isn't one of them. 3) The app to keep track of your workouts, your benchmarks for weightlifting, and your progress 4) The programming. The workouts are strategic to work your entire body while focusing on certain groups together. While some things may be out of your wheel house the coaches always have options for modifying a movement to make it easier or more challenging for you. 5) This is a great option for both cardio and getting stronger. 6) The coaching staff is very knowledgeable and know a lot more than just lifting weights. From diet and nutrition to proper stretching they are true experts in their fields. You have to use the neighborhood app to reserve your spot and check-in with the front desk person; limited to about 12 people per hour. No guests allowed so don't bother trying lol - It's nice because it keeps the gym private. The equipment is by "Technogym" so you can download the "My Wellness" app and keep track of your sessions by logging in to your account when using a treadmill, bicycle, and some machines. Bathrooms are clean too but no private lockers. For a community, it's a great gym.

This gym has a prime time location at the epicenter of Laureate Park in the Village Center and offers up 4,000 sq ft of space to get your sweat on. The gym has a nice variety of equipment and is kept in pristine condition. There's at least 8 treadmill / 10 ellipticals, free weights and machines plus a small spin room with about 10 bikes. The floors are so clean that I'd eat off them, ok no I wouldn't but it's flipping clean clean clean as can be. It's usually pretty quiet in there, but I do go at 5am when the key fobs can open the door. They give access until 11 pm and I am going to throw this out there...I've always felt safe there...even at 5am. It's a great perk for residents and 5 stars all day long.

For the longest time was a regular at a chain gym and focused primarily on weightlifting. I decided that I wasn't being fulfilled in my workouts and wanted to try something I had never done before; CrossFit. I was always skeptical about trying CF but reached out to see what it was all about. I had a new member consultation with Joe and was immedietly drawn to check out more. Joe walked me through his fitness journey and really hit on every point I was concerned about. He recommended started with some PT to see where I was at physically and get me comfortable with proper CF form. I felt so much better about starting CF after the training and felt like in such a short time my form and athleticism had tremendously improved. Coach Joe is amazing and really works to tailor the workouts to your needs. I took my first CF class recently and to say I'm hooked is an understatement. I am so glad to have found a gym that is so incredibly welcoming and motivating (both coaches and members). Including this "skinny-fat" girl who hasn't worked out in over two months. To say I was skeptical of Crossfit would be a gross understatement. Like you, I have made the occasional joke at my sister's expense about the cult of Crossfit. I imagined insanely fit people, or folks who were just generally over-the-top, yelling at each other while throwing weights on the ground, grunting, and pushing themselves to unhealthy places. And then I finally agreed to go to a buddy workout with my sister at her Crossfit studio. And then I ate my words. And burpeed them out again as new, and educated words. Words like "air squats" and "burpees," for that matter. The workout was posted ahead of time so we had an idea of how horrific it would be. I was prepared for the worst- the dreaded simultaneous puke/faint. Word of advice, eat a protein rich meal an hour ahead of class. I'm grateful my sister reminded me early because I have no doubt that I would have accomplished the puke/faint otherwise. Coach Joe and a woman coach (who was lovely and stayed to talk to me, but whose name escapes me) were so motivating. Coach Joe demonstrated each move we'd be doing in our long buddy sequence. What's that? You want another gross understatement? Here you go: "My big sister carried our team of two." I'm not ashamed to say that I worked at my own pace, and proud of it. The best part? Everyone in the room is doing their workout at their pace and no one is judging you. Overall, my preconceptions were wrong and I loved the warm vibes this place.
