The service here is good, but what stands out to me is that I feel like I am sitting down to a family meal! The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and on busy nights, expect them to be full. The food is delicious and you can tell that the chef has spent quality time ensuring that his execution is great. Excellent folks working the dining room (at least when we've been in). Excellent food. (get the volcano roll, or even the monkey brain, you will not be disappointed!) Quaint little building, older - but who cares. It's comfy. Service can take a bit but that's because everything is MADE FRESH. You want fast food, go to Panda Express. Go to McDonalds. By all means - it means I get my food faster here. Don't complain about a good local restaurant with good people simply because you want corporate fast food-type service from a dine-in eatery. GTFO with that nonsense. ESPECIALLY if you're NOT local to Forest Grove. I see comments on here about pricing - what do you expect the business to do in the middle of a pandemic? Reduce their prices? Yeah, that's gonna go real far. Everything's gone up, people. Everything. Suck it up and deal. read more
