(Who would have thought we could right?) After our wedding, guests were telling us that our wedding was so amazing and that it almost felt like a "normal" wedding-- even with social distancing, masks and all! We met Lindsay when she was the social catering manager for the Crowne Plaza where we were going to have our original wedding reception pre-COVID. Lindsay is the type of person to rise to any occasion and she does it with a smile and positive attitude and is extremely detail-oriented and efficient. After we had to change our venue due to COVID, we reached out to Lindsay to hire her as our day of event coordinator for our wedding. Due to COVID, we weren't sure if we had to postpone our wedding, but once we figured out we could still have it, we had less than a MONTH to replan our entire wedding. Lindsay helped us so much and did a phenomenal job! She paid attention to every detail of our wedding and thought of things we didn't even think about. She helped us to create a great timeline, reach out and keep track of our vendors for our venue, and was available if we needed her for questions/consultation. She went above and beyond on our wedding day and this was an all day event. Our venue was set up perfectly, she created a beautiful sign-in, gift table, and sparkler table for us to display our sparklers for the end of the night. We gave her all the parts we wanted in our wedding and she seamlessly made everything happen. All of our transitions were perfect and she kept us on time with our schedule. We even had extra time to relax and enjoy our reception and food. Tip: At your wedding, you want to enjoy your day and let someone else (non-family member) to be in charge of the details and help facilitate what is going to happen It is the small details that matter and Lindsay paid attention to all of them and exceeded our expectations from start to finish-- she made our wedding look easy to pull-off, but there was so much involved. Kim Lange came in as our Day of Coordinator ONE month before the wedding. I really did not know…read morewhat to expect from a DOC. I assumed that she would ask for our vendors names & numbers, a basic time line, and names of family & any issues they may have (in general or with each other). When she came to our place to meet us for the first time I was immediately put at ease. Kim inspires confidence right away. I knew right away that she would be perfect in terms of dealing with any of our family members or our friends. She was excited about the quirky details of our wedding and did not blink or show signs of alarm at any tasks left undone (like nailing down the menu or ordering linens or figuring out flowers or a million other things etc.). When she showed us an example of a time line and I saw not only how organized and detailed she was, but also how much attention was given to the visual design, I kind of fell in love with her! From then on, Kim kept in constant touch with us over email, asking us questions that I had not even thought of--like where would I be before entering for the ceremony? When I joked that there was a bar up the street, she was like "That would be fabulous!" Kim saved the day when we lost our photographer 8 days before the wedding. Within a day of hearing our news, she took it upon herself to call several photographers she knows and arranged for Kim & Niki Photography to take on our wedding. Not only did Kim save us hours and hours of work, but she found us photographers who took photos that are more amazing than I EVER could have imagined. (And the ones at the bar are awesome!) On the day of, Kim was great, keeping everyone as close to schedule as we could be with the craziness of the day. When we called to say we were an hour late & stuck in bridge traffic & I had not even showered yet & my husband forgot his shirt & we forgot to pick up the bouquet, etc. she was consistently calming. She even showed up to the hotel where I was getting ready with a huge carrier of everything one might need but forgot, deodorant, chalk in case of stains, safety pins, etc. She made sure everything went as smoothly as possible and looked as beautiful as I had hoped. Kim was the reason I was able to relax & put all logistics out of my mind, which was something I never expected was possible (as I am just a bit of a control freak). If I had to do it all again, I would hire Kim to coordinate the entire wedding!

We just hired her for month-of coordination services, not her full planning services, but she was always quick to reply to any questions we had, even before the "month of." She had great recommendations for vendors and was willing to give us her honest opinion, so I felt much more confident in the choices we made. Bri was also incredibly flexible and understanding when we postponed out summer 2020 date to summer 2021, which we really appreciated. As the wedding approached, I became even more thankful for Bri's help. Knowing that she had everything totally under control was such a relief. She put together a lengthy timeline, coordinated with vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page, and helped me organize all the items that we would need to have for the wedding. It was great to know that nothing would fall through the cracks! Finally, at the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself, Bri was such a source of calm. My first impression of her was that she was very quiet and smiley. I was slightly afraid she wouldn't be able to withstand my enthusiasm (which often gets confused with aggression) but don't let her smile fool you! She's just listening to what you have to say and she knows how to respond to each request / question very professionally; she never missed a beat! I met with her for our introductory meeting and she drove all the way to me even though I offered to meet her half way, she emailed me to check in throughout the wedding planning process, got in contact with all my vendors, scheduled meetings with the venue and site coordinator and built the day-of-timeline. Although I wanted to be hands on in everything, when I had to actually let go and let her handle things, I was so confident in her and wasn't afraid of anything going wrong. I trusted Bri and she proved herself with all the curveballs that got thrown at her the day of the wedding. I'd have to say my wedding was a perfect day! Yes, there were tiny things that nobody could control, but she was there to ensure that I didn't notice a thing. She managed the day really well not only overseeing the other vendors, but actually setting up my reception decorations (she even asked me for photos examples just in case I had a vision). - I went to a few weddings where I had no idea that there was a wedding planner; I helped the families of the Bride and Groom set up / clean up the reception décor because their planners "didn't include that service". Bri stayed until a little after midnight on my wedding night making sure I got back everything that I wanted, packed up my gifts, and ensure that everything was taken cared of. I didn't lift a finger! HIRE HER! It will be the best thing you do for your sanity!

She…read morewas really helpful to me as my wedding was relatively complicated in terms of timing issues. (I believe even for the simplist wedding it can be much different and easier with Christine's help.) My wedding had a church ceremony and a golf clubhouse reception. The two venues are more than 10 miles apart, and each of them had other events before/after my wedding using the same site. I thought I could handle the wedding planning all by myself until I started arranging for the transportation and logistics of the big day. Even though my two venues provided their experienced site-coordinators separately, they couldn't help me with the time limitation, the transition from one site to another and many customized details. I realized that I definitely need a day-of coordinator dealing with the whole wedding day and the rehearsal the night before. Fortunately I found Christine. She offered a lot at very reasonable price. And most importantly, she did a great job helping me plan ahead and executing my ideas on the day. From 3 months ahead, she started scheduling meetings with me and my fiance to customize our timeline and "To-Do" list. After knowing what we want to include in our wedding, she suggested a sample schedule/timeline. Then she went into detail asking what restrictions my venues may have, what special requirement/difficulties my wedding party members may have, what are provided by my venues, and so on. Then she would suggest modification on the day-of timeline accordingly and document them well, until we are all satisfied with the schedule. At the end, she would contact all my vendors and confirm the final version of timeline with each of them. We had 3 pre-wedding meetings with her in total. I found those meetings extremely helpful in two ways. First, they help me screen out relevant stuff which I neglect and improve on the timing and all the lists (must-take photo/video lists, drop-off item lists, wedding party's task lists, etc) to be much reasonable and managable rather than wanting everything and making things impractical. Second, she assigned "To-Do" tasks to me and my fiance respectively as well as a deadline of each task. As a result, my fiance became more involved in the planning process and released part of the burden on my shoulder. When my fiance lagged on his "action item" or running behind deadline, Christine would kindly reminded him to finish his part, preventing me from blowing up on my fiance and being pissy all the time. She was effective in executing my plans and ideas. I guess her key is to make sure everyone (wedding party, vendors, other site-coordinators) is on the same page. She even printed out schedules and tasks on a small card for wedding party members to carry with. I was so glad she could constantly take my "order" and designate right person to do stuff I suddenly came up with, considering I didn't have a cellphone on me that day. Except for going through the rehearsal with us the day before and coordinating my wedding the day of, she also threw in a favor of picking up all the decor/stuff which I couldn't drop off to the venues beforehand. She made a check list of those items and checked them off one by one when she fetched them from me or my bridesmaids. And she also transferred everything from church to reception. Later on, I found out there was not a single item missing or late. All in all, I and my husband were very satisfied with Christine's coordinating. I couldn't imagine what my wedding would be like without her. I am sure if I tried to save a few hundred bucks by not having a coordinator, I would regret now.

Because I used to plan events and know the extensive details involved, I procrastinated delving into my wedding details. Christine was on top of them sending me gentle reminders monthly before my wedding. At our few meetings leading to the wedding she asked me questions and gave helpful suggestions that I just wouldn't have thought of. It was definitely a huge burden lifted to have Christine there the day of the wedding to hunt vendors and give directions to the lost ones. The only thing I would suggest is that you don't torture her the way I did by only having one Maid of Honor and no bridesmaids to lend a few helping hands. Christine excels in wedding planning because she is intelligent organized, detail-oriented, sweet but not a pushover, and has been a recent bride herself. Her passion and true love for weddings is the ray of light that helps to center you when your wedding dress doesn't fit, guests are being fickle about attending, and people tell your fiance his only job is to show up to the wedding. Nicole's pricing was very reasonable and she was willing to "negotiate" what service to provide. I wanted to be in control of much of the event leading up to our wedding and Nicole totally respected that and stepped in for tasks only when asked. Nicole was willing to text with me late nights and weekend mornings, helping me find wedding details and decor when my sleepless mind wouldn't stop. She was full of suggestions and recommendations but was never pushy. On the day of the wedding, Nicole was a life saver. I am not kidding. We couldn't have done it without her. She was timely, responsible, and extremely proactive. She spent all morning making sure everything was perfect. When I tell you I didn't have to life a finger, I mean it. Nicole did absolutely everything from managing the floral design when the florist showed up, setting up her entire dessert table, managing the wait staff, recruiting venue staff, chatting with guests, getting all our vendors their dinner plates, getting US our dinner plates. All of the details you wouldn't think of, she was already 10 steps ahead. My entire family was floored at how incredible this one woman team was. Nicole would take control of situations as they'd come up day of and would come check in with me to confirm what her suggestions were worked for me. She helped us with our marriage contract too which easily could have been overlooked. I cannot say enough good things. I didn't even see our venue space day of until I walked down the aisle and had our grand entrance. The room took my breath away, she did the best job making a space reflect all the elements I had told her I wanted. And if you are not happy with their services and decide to give them a negative review on social media, they will threaten to take you to court. And above all, they will even post your personal information (such as your cellphone number) for public, which puts you at risk of harassment by strangers. So here is my story: I normally try not to look for vendors on Craigslist, but since I was working on a budget I decided to check Craigslist for alternative/ inexpensive vendors and that's where I found "Dreams Come True" to provide me a quote for my party. Upon calling them Crystal answered the phone. Her tone was very unpleasant from the beginning, but one thing that made me initially consider them was their cheap prices. While I was on the phone with her, I sent her photos of the type of cake and decorations that I wanted and asked her what she would charge to do all this, she initially quoted me a total of $375. Later when we spoke again, she suddenly raised the price on me. I was shocked that she would literally change a quote that she originally gave me. When I inquired to Crystal about the higher price she continued being extremely rude to the point of almost yelling at me over the phone. I finally told her: "I would be willing to pay more just to work with someone who treats their customers fair". After the rude phone call I decided not to move forward with this business. As a result of this encounter I left them a negative review on yelp. Crystal is now threatening me by sending text messages to my cellphone telling me to take down my review or she will sue. I know I have done nothing wrong to let my fellow consumers know the truth about this business so they don't go through what I went through. I am aware that Yelp takes such lawsuit threats to their customers seriously, so I have reported Crystal's threats to them for further action. Now there is additional proof of this business' unethical and unprofessional practices that you all can see for yourself. As a customer you cannot trust them with your personal information. Crystal has posted screenshots of our text conversations that shows my personal cellphone number. She could have at least cropped out my phone number before posting the screenshots online, but she doesn't care about customer privacy at all. I have never given her permission to share my number with strangers publicly. As a result of her sharing my number publicly, I can become a target for further harassment by strangers, for which she can be legally held liable. Customers be warned!! If they posted my personal information online, they can also post yours, so as a customer if you are willing to risk putting your personal information at risk, then choose "Dreams Come True". --- Update--- Hopefully this will be my last update and finally this business will stop harassing me. Although I don't feel the need to explain myself to Crystal, but I am here to clarify something just for the sake of other customers who are reading this. So I am here to clarify that I never lied, but simply re-worded my post to be more specific since Crystal had difficulty understanding my point the first time. However, I still stand by my initial post in which I stated "I am not happy with their work for my event". YES, this is a true statement because Dreams Come True did some work for my event in regards to putting together a quote, that is part of the work that they do. An event planner's job does not start just on the day of the event, it involves dealing with the customer prior to the event as well. Therefore, I was unhappy with the work they did related to my event and I decided not to move forward with them. If I had said something like: "I am not happy with the particular cake that Crystal made for me" then yes you could call me a liar, but that is not the case. I repeat, what I said is that I am unhappy with your work for my event and I still say that. I am unhappy, but not because your price was expensive, in fact you were the cheapest I had found. But I am unhappy because you changed the original quote on me and because you were extremely rude to me. Dishonesty is against my principles. Now I have hired a new vendor who is much more expensive than you, but extremely professional, ethical and pleasant to speak with. I am glad you showed the world how unprofessional you are by calling your customer a liar in public, also admitting to threatening your customer with a lawsuit simply over a two sentence yelp review. If you are in the event planning business you need to have more patience and a pleasant personality. Your job is to calm a nervous bride down, not be a bridezilla yourself. From this point on, i don't have to say anything else, I think people are smart enough to read all your comments and judge for themselves.
