I will continue to recommend Swanson!

They were recommended by my swim spa dealer, Turbo Spas in Dublin. The crew was easy to work with, professional and followed my instructions to the letter. I just want to give some feedback from what I have learned since because this will help others avoid the same mistake I made. After waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure I set my 12' swim spa and 8' hot tub on the pad. 6 months later my swim spa cracked on the bottom. I am not sure about this but I believe the spa cracked because of the control joints running underneath the spa because that is where the spa shell cracked. Lessons learned is never add control joints where a swim spa will be set. This was no fault of Swanson's, It was my fault for recommending control joint locations. All is well now because my swim spa was repaired and I have the spa floating on 3" of crushed rock and a spa pad. The spa pad and rock sit on top of 6" steel reinforced concrete.

After stopping g by and asking politely the guy on a picture that they should leave a little bit of space for people to walk/ride by, his answer was, "the sidewalk is closed." Next time, please think about all people involved and maybe organize a detour if it really necessary to block the whole sidewalk.

The work included leveling the entire yard, turning a wall behind the pool into a large raised planter, redoing the pool coping, piping and traps, then redoing the yard's drainage and paving the yard and walkway. From the start, Erik and his staff exceeded all expectations. He visited with us to understand our wants and needs then after preparing a very detailed estimate, came back and went through the whole process to let us know what to expect and where we had options to change things on the estimate. His estimate also detailed at what points along the way payments would be due....all very clear. All Erik's teams (the fence guys, pool, stone and tile work, and pavers) were all hard working, put in a full day's work, and were very respectful, polite, and friendly! Erik did a fantastic job of coordinating the different teams to come in to get their part of the job done, in spite of having to put up with rainy and cold weather throughout the project. We were very impressed with all the workers who contributed to get the backyard done. Lastly, when all the hardscape was done, Erik met us at a nursery where, given his in-depth knowledge of horticulture, he suggested plants that perfectly met all our wishes for the look and upkeep of the backyard. The result is a backyard that we are in love with! Thank you, Erik and Las Palmas staff!

Las Palmas wasn't the least expensive of the three, but we felt very comfortable with Erik and his expertise at our initial meeting. He and his crew know what they're doing, make suggestions for better functionality, are flexible and easy-going, and to top it off are really nice people. We had a very specific, custom curved bench built by them and it was completed beyond our expectations. With any project during the pandemic, there were a couple hiccups/delays due to supply chain issues, but from start to finish the project took 2-1/2 months and we couldn't be happier. We love our backyard and will use Las Palmas for our future front yard project.

The correction was to add more sand over and over again. CSLB complaint, primarily over the pathway which they only showed me one way to install due to the design with the red bricks reset on the original design. Change order for Pavers instead and they still installed them the same way as the red bricks. Said it's my fault because I "Green lighted installation", the only installation I was shown. The other contractors who provided quotes to fix all issues, told me it was installed incorrectly. Even corrections have to be redone because sealer was sprayed on and directions, not followed. They need to lift them up again put a new pavers and reseal correctly according to manufacturer directions. It shouldn't have to be this hard.
