I was looked up and down, made to feel embarrassed, and dismissed rather than given a respectful explanation or professional decline. I fully understand that consignment shops have the right to refuse items they cannot authenticate. However, there is a significant difference between saying "this does not meet our resale criteria" and making definitive claims that contradict an original in-store purchase, particularly when such claims are delivered without professionalism or care. This experience left me questioning whether the assessment was truly based on expertise or influenced by assumptions.
