The Struggle Is Real Hey, life is tough. Those money trees are hard to find. I'm still looking! Sometimes you have to hit a pawn shop up to get a little cash for a bill or a hot date. I hope a pawn shop is your last resort, but if you have to....this one isn't so bad. The folks here are pretty friendly. I have always been treated with respect. The line is usually long, so be prepared to wait a bit. Understand, you will get a fraction of what your item is worth - that's just the way it goes. Bought a PS4 controller and did not have time to test it within the 24 hours they allow for returns, when I realized the controller did not work I went to exchange it they said " I should have bought the protection plan". Horrible workers--unprofessuonal, rude, and petty!!!! So, the two ladies who were working, a middle-aged blonde and a 30-something brunette, were incredibly rude and I especially had a bad experience with the blonde, I didn't catch her name. I was trying to purchase a bicycle and it took at least 30 minutes for one of them to even acknowledge me. When I finally was assisted by "Blondie," about checking the bike out She took my ID, which seemed like enough to hold onto while I rode this average bicycle over priced at $70, but then she said she needed my purse and backpack while I rode this bike around the block. She was condescending and said she would out my belongings behind the counter...her attitude implied that I was the type of customer who might steal a used bike despite them having my Colorado drives license. That was the first clue that I shouldn't have wasted my time here. I came back to the store ten minutes later because I couldn't ride it due to low air in the tires I then told her that tires were low, and the rear one was almost flat. Sign two that I should have run: "Blondie" handed me their bike pump to put air in the tires. She just stood behind the counter with my stuff and stared at me while I got on my hands and knees to try to fill the tires. Very poor customer service!! One of them should have done this, especially the clerk who was "helping me."I had never used a hand held pump and she was rude about it and barely explained how to use it. She just stood there and watched. I really needed a bike so I said I was interested in the bike, once I aired the tires. It was marked at $70. I offered Blondie $50. She went over to the computer and cursed and referred to a coworker as a "fkn moron" saying to her co-worker that they weren't going to make money on this bike. The two continued to gossip about the employee who must have bought this bike and used foul language about what an idiot he was and how they would maybe break even on this deal. Finally, she barked at me "$60," like it was my fault that their idiot employee made a poor deal, like they were losing money on everything in their whole store (when we all know pawn shops mark up their products about 200 percent). So, I clarified, "Hmmm $60 with tax included." I mean her attitude on not making a pile of money on one item in their whole marked up store of used items. Many of the bikes I looked at had flat tires, one tire, bikes without handle bars, etc. And every bicycle, including the aforementioned ones were all at least $50. One tire...$50. Sign number 3!!! Her attitude was now noticably raunchy and I wasn't making her money, which should have never been announced. Of course, Blondie turned her nose up declining my offer, she said they had to charge tax. I have worked in retail, and in pawn shops, so I know how things work. I asked if she could charge less than $60 and figure it out to be $60 w/tax. Number scrunch. Simple. I reminded her she offered $60 and I didn't want to pay more since it was only $10 off of this used bicycle. "No, she said." I almost walked and she didn't care. She gave my bags back. I thought about it and caved in, "OK $60 us tax." I had $65 on me and said "it's $65.29 I have to have the change!!" Ok 29 cents! The kicker: I fumbled through my pockets and had a $20 bill for my babysitter and in a wad of stuff found a quarter and one penny. I handed it to her. Blondie said, "I have to have ALL of the change!" I said, "Come on its three cents! Can't you just forgive three pennies?" Blondie sighed, rolled her eyes and said, "You have another $20 in your pocket!" Wow. She was really watching everything when I was digging for change. I told her it was for my sitter. I was so shocked about this. All of it. She stood there expecting me to put everything in for this bike. Three cents...she was being cruel and controlling making me fumble and work for it. A customer handed a nickel. It was obvious she was also appalled. I thanked the kind lady. I don't know what would have happened had she not overheard the ridiculous sale. Maybe I should have just left her with the overpriced bike. Instead I handed her the nickel, painted on a fake snicker-smile and said, "Keep the change." I will never go back to this horrible pawn shop. The other woman working with this surely woman was just as bad, gossiping about co-workers and by not stepping in when this woman was clearly being ridiculous over three red cents and not helping to put air in the tires. Working together against customers who don't have a lot of money and just want a fair deal. Not here. I felt like they took advantage of me, and pushed around. PS I'll get "Blondie's" name. This occurred @ 4:30 pm on Thursday, Sept. 9 and I am going to call the manager and tell him of this experience and I am positive with the date and time, I will find out the real name of "Blondie," and make it a priority to edit this with her real name so everyone will be warned. read more

Went There Yesterday To Pick Up An Item At 9:10AM (Friday's Hours Are 9AM - 6PM) The Store Was Still Closed And Locked Up.I Then Spoke Through The Small Mail Slot And Asked If They Where Open.Then A Female Open The Side Front Door-Which Is About 10 Feet To The South Of The Front Door-And Replied In A Very Harsh And Disparaging Loud Tone : "We Are Not Open Yet,We Will Open-When We Open!!"At 9:18AM,The Doors Where Unlocked,And The Place Was Open. Later That Day,I Found Out That Rude Females Name Was Stacy-The Assistant Manager.Obviously,She-They Don't Value The Customer(s),Nor Their Time Either.If The Place Ran Into A Wrinkle Or Two,And Could Not Open In Time.Then Stacy Could Should Have Handled The Situation In A More Professional Manner. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here! They are honest, kind, and a pleasure to do business with. I took a few gold pieces in to sell. When I came in, she asked me "What are you looking to get for this, hun?". I said $25/g and she kindly agreed. No questions asked--she knew that was a FAIR price and gave it to me. She didn't try to rip me off. The process of selling it was also twice as quick as it was at Atlantic Jewelry and Loan where I had previously been ripped off for $20/g. You should be getting a minimum of $25/g and possibly up to $27/g if they're really willing to work with you. I would definitely suggest taking your goods here! read more

Sold me a counterfeit Apple Ipod. Assured me that it was an IPOD when questioned, just an older model. Took it straight to the Apple store to confirm it as a dollar store knockoff IPOD. Didn't even work as an MP3 player. Staff seemed fairly unconcerned when I brought it back said it must be have been mislabeled. They probably have a case off counterfeit IPODs in the back. Also, saw a Flip Phone and a knockoff Alcatel blackberry style phone priced higher than BRAND NEW retail! $30 for a used flip phone! honestly had a great experience the first time around that i went back. second time i waas assisted by somme guy with a mohawk/reddish hair. anyone who goes there please avoid him at all costs. he seriously doesnt try to take the time out to look at the products. i TRIED showed him some sneakers i was trying to sell to them. he did not look away from his monitor (power trip like no other) and just said to me "no we dont take those" very rash and rude. never going back and this is a place if u really dont care about the value of your items. he tried telling me my Wacom Tablet is worht 5$.... anyone who is a graphic designer like i am knows that wacom tablets run over 200 dollars. i would have been okay with 50 dollars. i kept my wacom tablet as a back up to my old one so it works out. he also broke a mic i brought in he pressed the head of the mic so hard that the mic stand got pressed in and is now loose... i bought this mic a month ago. its the latest Snowball model and when i told him to please not hanndle my mic like that he said "listen i know what im doing" and i responded "but look u broke it" " he said "no its not" even lied and said it goes for 50 dollars at best buy. it was actually 70$ at best buy. so i just took my mic with me. ontop of how rude he was to me (no eye contact, cut me off everytime i spoke refused to actually look at my items) He was rude to a customer being helped next to me. his coworker was working with that customer and was asking the guy who was "helping" me questions about the product he was assessing. therefore the customer chimed in to explain the product. same deal; the reddish haired guy would cut him off while the customer was trying to explain his product. whenever the customer spoke to him he would look at his computer and ignore the customer. this guy power trips to the max. The manager and other worker there treated me with the utmost respect. i expected the same throughout employees. may i add he also spoke about a customer who had just left without discretion infront of mysef and a line of about 8 customers. doesnt feel like a place where they care about customer loyalty. look i dont usually even sell my items. i just moved from NY and needed extra cash. great concept of a store... horrible worker. read more

Wish i could give minus stars! They have the worst Customer service and lack of respect and courtesy for it's customers. This is by far the worst pawn store in Colorado. I came to pawn a mini fridge that the manager said they would sell at $150.00 and then the employee said they would give me TEN DOLLARS! I was disgusted with good reason. They could have done good business and at least offered me $75 since they would still double their profit but honest business practices are apparently too hard for this store to handle. Save your time and go somewhere else instead cause they try to rob people blind at this store. I also checked out their prices on their subwoofers and for 12 inch subs they want $250-275.... Keep in mind these are used.... I went to Xtreme audio on 2nd and federal and paid less for brand new 12 inch subs and they installed them for free. read more

Worst pawn shop in Denver. Service sucks, line is always a mile long, no one is ever behind the counter to help and if there is they are rude. Takes forever to do anything there. Stay away and go to Big Daddy's for half the interest EZ Pawn charges and quick service. EZ Pawn is not so easy. Rubbish, complete and utter rubbish! The staff are definitely NOT friendly or knowledgeable. They Didn't say anything when I entered the store, and it wasn't because they were busy with customers, but busy having girl talk time. I was looking for a television, and made the mistake of asking them what definition it was, and all i got was "i dunno", and then a deer in the headlights look. The prices were reasonable, but so is every other pawn shop in Downtown Denver, and the selection was mediocre. I would suggest Big Daddy Jewelry and Fun INC at 2239 Larimer St. way better selection of everything, and the staff know about the products they are selling, and if they don't know they will go look it up online without even being asked. No integrity. They had wrapped 5 movies in plastic and it had a price of $9.95 on it. Not out of line as the rack is marked 4 for $10 and last time I bought movies they sold them to me for $2 each. However at the register they decided they wanted $9.95 a piece for the movies. They'd take $8. I passed. Last time I was in there I overheard a complaint called in. The called felt mislet. I had a horrific time here. Deserea (spelling?) is the one I talked to. After I came in and brought a huge heavy box full of expensive electronics in, I was forced to set it down near the back of the store. Once it was my turn to be helped (which took about 15 minutes), Deserea asked if she could help me (from across the store).. She would not move and made me bring everything back to the front of the store. Once I lugged everything to her spot, she told me to "hold on" while she spent about 5 minutes (literally) squeezing hand sanitizer into a bottle. Once she was finally done with that, she was beyond rude when helping me. About 20 seconds in while we were talking...she literally turned to another customer (a friend maybe?) and started a conversation with him. I asked to speak to her manager which she said was not on duty. I presume this kind of behavior happens when the manager (she said his name was Brian) is not at the store. I just couldn't believe how she treated customers. I have never been to a pawn shop with an employee as bad as Deserea. read more
