Prices to use Dexter front-load washers of the same capacities (e.g., double, maxi, mega, etc.) used to be cheaper here than at EZ Wash, but they are now more expensive. Additionally, the public computers are now gone along with a few TVs. I hope this means upgrades and not loss of amenities.

Coins only, but there is an ATM as well as bill changer. Always an attendant on duty. Small parking lot on Porter, a few more spaces on Lakeview. But the laundromat is open 24 ours. And then took another 6 months or so under construction. But wow, it looks great now. They have baskets to move loads around, plenty of machines and change machines too. Sadly they have the radio and tv both blaring on different stations, so that's not pleasant. But if you only wants to drop in some laundry and then run an errand or sit in your car, it's fine.

I spent almost twice what that amount if laundry should have been. Most of the vending machines were empty. I bought 1 small box if gain and that was the last of the gain. Attendant walks around with his ear buds in, and if you think he is talking to you and say excuse me, he gives a nasty look. I haven't had to use one since we've lived in this neighborhood, but have noticed Washingtown DC nearby, so I went there. This is definitely a no frills, no perks, old-school laundromat. No wi-fi, no drink or food vending, no public bathroom, mostly older looking machines, a few marked 'Out of Order'. The top-loader wash machines I used were $2 a load, dryers were a quarter per seven minutes. The seating is a mish-mash of plastic lawn chairs strewn about. There's an old tube TV with antenna channels, and a payphone that's actually operational. I checked. And that's about it. My rating is based on how Washingtown compares to other laundromats I've used in the past, and this functional but dated place is definitely lacking in niceties. Truly meh. A couple positives, though. It wasn't busy, no problems getting machines. And easy parking next to the building for lugging stuff in and out. If your priority is a laundromat without a crowd, and bare-bones amenities are adequate, Washingtown might work for you. If I had to regularly use a laundromat, it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

This location seems like it's been here a while. It's small and homey, with 14 older top-load washers ($2.00/wash), 2 industrial front-loaders ($3.50/wash) 1 old fashion washer/dryer (when I say old, I mean like dirt...but never fear! It's for decorative purposes only, and adds to the ambiance of the place). There are 11 dryers ($0.25/6 min). A bit steep for drying, but if you can get in to one of the larger washers, it isn't so bad. Forget your laundry essentials at home? They've got you covered! There is a dispenser for all of your laundry needs ($1.00/item). Also a Pepsi machine if you need a caffeine fix. There was no attendant during my visit, but double-bonus,...it's open 24 hours in case you get a midnight urge to do laundry.
