We have been using EzTax Service for over 25 years and we can highly recommend them as a careful, professional service.

Knowledgable, we learned new things this year about our taxes. Better prices and customer service than H&R.

Ian and his tax crew are the tops. I am 80 years old and have gone to many different tax preparation services over the years and this place is tops. Our return this year was complicated and involved out of state property, and this man put the problem to sleep. I recommend this place to anyone needing their taxes taken care of. The cost is reasonable and the final product is professional. My hats off to this great business. Thank you read more

Ian helped me with my past year's taxes, and it was the easiest time I have ever had with a tax accountant. His charges were more than reasonable, and he was so easy to work with. I'll be back for sure. read more

So quick and easy, it was painless. All except for the part of having to pay the taxes due. Dropping off the paperwork was quick and easy without an appointment. Even with less than 10 days until the taxes were due. Several days later, we received a call that the preparation was done. When we arrived to pick up the taxes, Ian took the time to explain the last step of the process, including verifying all the information was correct. We were informed the taxes would be e-Filed the same day. The forms were all together in a neat folder, with the required payment verification forms were all placed in their respective envelopes, a ready to go. I'd recommend using EZ Tax Service, as we will be going back next year. read more

Ian's EZ Tax service is great - highly professional, well-informed and efficient! Not to mention handy, as he has an office in our 41st Mall all during tax season. Who wouldn't like a dependable tax accountant, unless you're dedicated to 'DIY" which I am not. Have a great day and get maximum returns! Client Jamie H read more

Great experience consulting with Ian today, felt like he understood the complexities of my situation and was able to confidently offer really helpful advice that will probably save me money come tax time. Recommend! read more

I am absolutely livid with Ian! First of all, EZ tax made a mistake on our 2020 taxes. This error was caused by EZ Tax reporting we did not receive enough stimulus payment and included the additional amount on our 1040. Well, the IRS caught this and charged us interest and a penalty. We never talked to Ian and his crew about our stimulus payments because they were non taxable. EZ Tax on their own calculated we were underpaid and reported a shortage. When I talked to Ian about this error not only did he get upset with me and tried to put this error on my wife and I but he was extremely rude, short and very unprofessional. Ending the conversation by saying at least you're not being shot at and you have food in your bellies before hanging up. That what you look for in a tax preparer. GEEZ!!! read more

Ian is very easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and has saved me tens of thousands of dollars at the very least. I've done my taxes with Ez Tax for over three years and don't plan on going anywhere else. read more

EZ Tax Service is THE BEST. Ian and the team are kind, efficient, and not only helped me with 2019 taxes but took a look at previous years' taxes and helped me out of a mess! I cannot recommend EZ Tax Service enough. read more

I can't say enough good things about this business. Like many fools, I sought help when all tax preparers were busiest. I called several tax specialists, but all refused to make time for me, or demanded outrageous fees. Right when I was about to give up, I tried EZ Tax Service. They were also busy, but made it a point to assist me. Not only did they make time for me, but even worked around my schedule to ensure I got the help I needed - and at a lesser price than their uncaring competitors. This just proves to me that big businesses don't care and we would be better served helping those smaller local businesses in our community. To emphasize that point, after helping me with the services I paid for, Ian took some of his own valuable time to offer me assistance with other issues that I had. Thank you so much to EZ Tax Service. I will bring my business here from now on and be sure to tell friends/family about a great business that is very professional AND cares about its clients. read more

I can't recommend these people enough. I have routinely dreaded dealing with my taxes but since I've been going to EZ Tax the last 10 years or so it has become the least of my worries. I've been through several economic "realities" and Ian and Bill and their staff do an excellent and quick job at getting me the most favorable results. I'm sort of embarrassed at how much I routinely paid before I came here. I have asked around of other folks as to where they went for tax work and the usual big companies were mentioned. When we'd compared notes I usually had the impression I was getting a much better deal than they were. Maybe you're more of an expert than I am- but keeping up with tax law is difficult and these guys make it, well, easy. EZ Tax is the best. read more

Highly recommend Ez Tax Service! I've been going to them for years! I'm always happy with the friendly staff and service. I also get advice on how I can make my money work for me (company 401k, stock purchasing, etc..). If you're looking for a stellar tax service, this is it! read more

I am so surprised to be the first reviewer! I literally thought there would be tons of "thank yous". This service has been where I take my taxes for the past 4 or 5 years. They are always professional, timely, and I feel the price-wise they are fair. I bring in my paperwork, I'm signing that day or the next day and getting my return in as little as two weeks! I am a big fan of passing on work that will otherwise sit on my desk for months. Ion is the person I always talk to there and he makes it very easy. He finds are all the deductiuons and credits for me by asking a quick couple questions...maybe 2-3 minutes. I don't have to go have a sit-in like I'm being interviewed. I highly recommend them because they are thorough, fast, easyily accessable (no appointments aat Capitolas Mall location), and best of all they are a small local business we can support! read more

I have complete trust in EZ Tax Service to handle my taxes every year. I know they will get me as many deductions as are reasonable and fair (thus saving me money) while being cautious to protect me from an audit (saving me money and pain). I have been bringing my taxes to them for years - since they opened - and have never been disappointed with the service, attention to detail, or the ability to ask them questions about what they have done. They make it EASY to file my returns. I have a family, job, and small business - so the forms are complicated but I know they take good care of me. Thanks Ian and crew. You guys are great. I have friends that use turbo tax or go to the BIG BLOCK tax company but I will keep my business with the small guy that gives me good service. read more

Last year was the first year I had to file as an Independent Contractor along with my W-2s which made for a sticky situation and a shocking estimate on TurboTax. I saw Ian and was so grateful he helped walk me through all possibilities and helped me clearly lay out all income and deductions on the table. He filed my taxes and made the repayment process simple and easy. His prices are fair, as he is very knowledgeable and genuinely is looking out for the best interest of YOU and your financial situation. read more

This tax firm is top-notch, fast and convenient. They never disappoint. I've received 19 years of fantastic customer service here!

Ian and his team are worth 6 stars, if that were possible! They are experts and highly professional.

I had an amazing experience with Ian. I went in to retain his services and after looking over my tax situation and speaking with me for quite a while, he recommended me to another firm because he felt I needed further assistance. He could have taken the job and done my taxes to collect the fee, but he had my best interest at heart, even though I was a new customer. I so appreciate his honesty and integrity and highly recommend him! He's very knowledgeable, and a really nice guy too. Thanks Ian! read more

I don't know how I haven't written a review here yet...EZ Tax is the ONLY place you should be going to have your taxes done! I've been going to Ian for years, and he has managed to get my husband and I thousands back over the years, by helping us file correctly, and finding every possible deduction, etc. he could. Highly recommend! After many years with a very expensive CPA, I switched to working with Ian at EZ Tax this year. What a difference! Not only was the cost much less, Ian saved me a lot of money in taxes and found errors that my previous CPA had made. I'll be headed to EZ Tax again next year! read more

Ion and staff are great, their prices are reasonable and they are fully accessible for any questions. would highly recommend.

These accountants are fabulous! I am self-employed, a subcontractor and an employee via more than four companies. Moreover, I have a child and am in a domestic partnership so my taxes aren't easy to figure. I receive a newsletter explaining the tax changes and items I need to take in to EZ Tax. They really make it simple. They are meticulously thorough and fast. I've been using Es Tax Service for over 10 years and I imagine I'll be taking my taxes to them for many years to come. Thank you, Ian, Judy and the rest! Another happy customer I am! read more
