History
Established in 2003.
Having worked with a number of CPA and financial services firms over the years, the founder of PEAK Services decided there was a better way to run an accounting firm, both from the outside (client perspective) and inside (employee perspective). PEAK Services is the continual unfolding of that vision; to create a firm that offers a wide array of helpful, accounting, payroll and tax services all under one roof, while encouraging employees to focus on work/life balance and personal growth.
Meet the Business Owner: Jason M.
After graduating from college in 1994, Jason began his CPA training at BDO Seidman affiliate offices. He worked in auditing, corporate and individual taxes, and various pieces of consulting engagements.
After about 4 years Jason began work in the corporate world as Assistant Controller of Aqualung America. Four years later, after a promotion to Controller and some fantastic corporate experience, Jason left the corporate world. "What can I say, it just wasn't my cup of tea," he says. He preferred the interactions with, and challenges faced by, smaller clients he worked with in his BDO years.
So Jason started down the path he's currently on in 2003 by incorporating his own business. He now enjoys the honor of running Peak Accounting, a firm that serves small businesses and individuals, including non profit entities, mostly in the Santa Cruz area. That, his amazing wife and son, and a passion for learning, round out his life.
