This being my third EZ TAG store stopping into in 15 years has deemed me that the people here are hired out of the same pool as Chase Bank personnel. Nothing related but top notch friendly service. I could not believe how caring with my situation I was treated here and will recommend EZ tag to anybody that is woozy about getting one. Your cost for an ez TAG is $15 per vehicle, non transferrable and will get $40 debited from your bank account. When your account reaches the $15 mark, your account will be debited automatically $40 again to fulfill your EZ TAG account par. I do have TX tags on my vehicle. I have been receiving toll violations on my vehicle because their license plate reader is reading number 0 as a letter O. I have been back and forth with Tx tags and HCTRA with no solution. I was told that it is a system error to where they cannot do anything about it. I do have TX tags. It is not my fault that the reader is picking up letter O and not zeros 0. Even if the reader picks up letter O, it still comes back to the same vehicle that has TX tags! There is no Ocean in Texas therefore it is zeros on all license plates. What is the point of having TX tags then HCTRA will send me a different bill? read more

So we came here and I don't want to be rude but their service towards Hispanics it's very poor , there people there that speak Spanish and they don't even want to translate , is their job just to sit around and just hear and not do anything!? , and why would you even check the temperature if all of the workers are not even wearing mask , I would never be complain as this to any place but they really made me mad with that kind of service and attitude, I don't want to be a Karen but I'm just really angry on how people are very ignorant there. read more

Super easy and friendly service. I came here to pick up my new EZ tag and the process was simpler than I thought. I added my vehicle online the day before, brought in my confirmation letter, and was able to pick up my new tag and use it immediately. In fact, I applied it right there in the parking lot and drove through several EZ tags the same day! It's a government run "store", don't expect too much. Slow as molasses in winter. They have been friendly each time I have been here, just slow as all get out. Easy to get to, free parking, nearby shopping and eating available. Just don't be in a rush. read more

Friendly helpful staff, but massive scam artists as a whole. I had heard the stories of violations and charges totaling into thousands of dollars. I simply thought it was toll-dodgers that had it coming, until it happened to me. I bought a preowned truck and drove my usual commute through the EZ Tag lanes. That evening, I realized I had driven through with the previous owners tag. I ordered a new EZ Tag in my name and used the cash toll lanes until my EZtag came in the mail (three weeks wait!). Meanwhile, I expected to hear from the previous owner about the tolls and forgot about it. Turns out the previous owner had cancelled the EZtag straightaway. Neither he nor I received a notification that the vehicle had been through the toll without a operable EZ Tag and therefore without payment. THREE MONTHs goes by and he calls me. He had just received a letter from a collections agency about the five dollar (four passes) toll violation and late fees now totaling more than eighty dollars! I told him sorry and asked why he hadn't called sooner. He said he had no idea about the violations, EZ Tag had not contacted him by email, phone or mail until three months later. I told him not to worry, I'd take care of it. He sent me a copy of the letter he had received from collections. I took the letter in with me to resolve what I thought was a simple issue of lapsed EZ Tags / registration transfer. Surely this must happen a lot, as people purchase used vehicles from each other all the time. I took time from work, patiently waited in line at an EZ Tag Store and explained what had happened asking the fines to be waived. The representative was nice and sympathetic. However, entirely unhelpful saying there was absolutely nothing she could do. I explained that EZ Tag had the previous owner's and my contact information, we both had current EZ Tags for multiple vehicles and EZ Tag did not notify either one of us. Three months of fines, involving a collections agency and threatening to revoke registrations seemed entirely unnecessary. Possibly even premeditated in order to collect multiple fines. Really, could they not have contacted us soon after the toll violation? Not even a week, a month later? The system records plate number and vehicle registration immediately when passing through a toll lane. The only explanation is EZ Tag purposefully and unethically waits to contact Texans in order to accrue multiple fines. In the end, it is obvious that EZ Tag is more concerned with racking up multiple charges than notifying Texans in a timely manner. Houston should be ashamed to allow Harris County Toll Road Authority to operate with blatant disregard for ethics and possibly even outside the law. Do you think I'm exaggerating? This location and the one on the south east side are the equivalent of the dmv. Not all registers are open at any time and they are ungodly slow. Better off ordering a TxTag which is free online and not a ripoff of $10 per tag like HCTRA charges. Save your money and time and plan ahead and get a free TxTag. read more

I went here on a Saturday morning the line moves very slow. But when it was my turn the lady at the counter took care of me right away ... in general in left happy with my new tag ready to be used she even explain to me how to install. It was only $55 dollars . $15 for the new tag and $40 for your credit .. awesome!! read more
