Walking route in blue to Parc 55 hotel. I avoided the yellow highlighted area at night.
    David H.

Friendly, professional, and prompt service. Garage is clean, and I felt safe inside the garage. I've accidently left my expensive smart phone on the passenger side seat, and it was still there when I picked up my car (please do avoid leaving valuables in the car). I will certainly park here again, but do have recommendations for folks that aren't as used to seeing the "other side" of the city. We stayed at the Parc 55 hotel nearby. We chose this parking garage because of Yelp (big thanks to all yelpers for your yelps). Since our hotel was very close by and to make my girl feel safe, I've always dropped her off at the hotel before parking my car, making that 2 block walk through the gauntlet several times a day. This garage does have drop off service within certain times. The operator there was very friendly and courteous. For reference, I've posted a map of the route that I take to walk back to our hotel. The stretch on Ellis St, between Jones and Taylor, have literally several dozens of homeless folks on both sides of the side walk. I've highlighted that in yellow in the map that I've posted. Also the stretch between Mason St and Taylor on Eddy St have a fair share of homeless and folks loitering outside of couple/several liquor stores. One time, I saw a female person on the ground, surrounded by several tougher looking male hovering over her. I was also approached for money several times. The stretch on Taylor St, between Ellis St and Eddy St didn't have any one loitering during the few times that I walked between the hotel and the garage. However, this stretch of road isn't as brightly lit, and can feel uncomfortable for some at night. After the first time walking back to the hotel and got approached several times on Mason St, I've left my watch, nice shirt, and wallet with my wife at the hotel the very next time that I needed to pick up the car (don't forget the ticket to claim your car). I did bring with me $11 cash, just in case... :p

Clearly read $10 flat rate daily. Sign hadnt changed.

Only giving one star because zero isn't available. I parked here , there was a sign that clearly read $10 flat rate. I left my car there for 12 minutes literally just to pick something up two blocks down. Came back to pick it up and he wants to charge us $15. Apparently the $5 sign fell off. He laughed in our face and called his boss. They left us standing there while they had a 10 minute conversation until he got off the phone and said yup its $15. We went outside to show him the sign and he went to go grab a 5 and put it up and said "sign fell off. $15." Horrible customer service and not the best area.. youre better off parking ANYWHERE but here. They made a huge deal over $5 ...

New overnight "roll over" policy. Beware - the reservation website pricing hasn't been updated.

BEWARE - quoted price on website for overnight parking is wrong!! I used to park here all the time - it was the cheapest option around Union Square and had good ratings. Apparently the owner has recently instituted a new policy that states that if you leave after 12 noon the next day then you are charged for another day. The problem is - the website that you make a reservation on and get your price quote isn't updated with this information. So, beware if you're parking overnight - they will tell you your costs are higher when you drop your car off, regardless of what their website says.

How these clowns park your car.

We didn't have any problems on using this parking lot, it was cheap compared to other parking lots and it's definitely valet parking.

I also have a dash cam which shows me parking.. my own car at the spot he directed to. Drove in at around 12pm on a Tuesday.. Parked in many parking garage already in the past. Ticket at kiosk before entering structure. (Paper) Goes in and one of the works points at a spot so I park into it. He asked me to give him my ticket (the one from the kiosk). Then he says "leave the keys in the car" so I get out and say "ok is that it?" He goes "how long are you going to park here? me: 20-40 mins" And hes like ok go so I leave. I get back and try to pay for the parking and the guy asked for my ticket receipt. Well I don't have it because I never got one.. And so charged max price for the ticket 25$ for like 45 minutes.. Back and forth with cashier "How did you not get a ticket we wouldn't have parked your car otherwise?" Well its so strange.. because I parked the car... and I left the keys in the car when the guy asked me to. The ticket receipt is also a massive card thats thick I definitely did not get one.. How can I get a 25$ charge when they have when I entered. Look at the enter and paid time.. It's a piece of paper too not some fob or keycard that's magnetic so it would make sense to charge the max. What kind of parking garage has a system where a person is responsible for even giving you a charge receipt when every OTHER garage in just takes a ticket and that's the thing you pay to get out with. Maybe just a SF thing.. But here we have a ticket at the kiosk to then hand to someone else to give you a separate ticket??? TLDR Just use any other parking garage in the finical district.. Or I guess make sure you get the ticket. Also there are no instructions for this place which I guess is a no brainer what kind of parking garage has a system like this that would require instructions.

One of the best rates you'll find since the downtown parking shortage began in 2010 with the demolition of the Transbay Terminal for construction of the Transbay Transit Center.
