I had previously gone to an auto parts store and done a DYI recharge of refrigerant, but I wanted an expert to review my work and make sure I wasn't adding too much and damaging the vehicle. Eddie was very helpful and informative about the process of properly servicing the Freon. I'm so glad I came in for him to take a look, because it turns out there was a severely clogged cabin air filter that also needed to be replaced. No wonder the A/C was struggling! I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for automobile Air Conditioning service. Went in as there was a clunk sound when transmission shifted…read more Wanted them to see what was wrong and do an oil change. I waited. A while later I was told they recommended I take it to a transmission place out on Ave M to fix the transmission. It was too much as they "didn't work on transmissions. (No oil change either) Went there, was told I needed a new tranny. Over 3k. Second opinion (3rd?) From an independent. Guess what? THERE WAS NO FLUID IN THE TRANNY. THE GASKET/SEAL was leaking. The reason for the clunk was no fluid. WHY DIDN'T THEY EVEN LOOK AT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL The last mechanic checked it, diagnosed it - saw it had been leaking underneath- and changed the seal, etc and did the oil change for a couple hundred bucks. WTF Corkeys???? Lazy much??? I had been in before for some work and was hoping to find a reliable repair place as my old mechanic retired. It wasn't Corky's. Unless you have a new fancy European car they can't be bothered. Someone didn't want to check the transmission fluid on an older pickup truck. Lazy. PS. The guy at the front desk is a real fast talker. Don't trust him. The whole experience with them has been terrible. It's some time later that I write this. No clunk. No tranny issues.
