I got diagnosed with COVID and am high risk. I called to get approval for the monoclonal antibodies, of which I meet the criteria to get, and they did not grant me the approval. I ended up with a blood oxygen level of 92 and almost had to be hospitalized for further intervention before getting the treatment. I had to go through an outside source - a group that works with people who meet the criteria to get the treatment - and was able to get it, preventing it from getting worse. I am sure if I had not gotten the treatment, I would have been hospitalized and who knows what would have happened.
The women at the front desk were so clueless that they didn't even know how to go about this and THREE different women asked me if I had COVID... then I finally got someone who asked the doctor only to be told that Dr. Eyma was asking why I wanted this.
I could have actually died. I've been seeing this doctor for 12 years. Needless to say, I will be finding a new one who actually cares.
Oh, by the way, when I reported I had COVID, the front desk people just said, "Oh." Meanwhile my other co-workers who had COVID had doctors telling them what to monitor and look out for. Honestly 70% of me leaving is the front desk, but after Eyma did not fax over an approval for the treatment, 30% is her because, as I said, I could have died. I have put up with a lot mistakes, lost documents, etc. from this office because I loved Eyma so much, but after this, I'm done. read more
