I will not compromise unless I find someone who is kind, patient, sweet, experienced, thorough and extremely knowledgeable--Dr. Bumgarner is all of those things. After our first visit with her I was absolutely delighted and felt so grateful to have found someone like her for my little one. The nurses are also wonderful and everyone in the staff shares the same wonderful traits to make you feel completely at ease, reassured and welcome. From the moment you arrive, or even when you call, they make you feel like a priority and well taken care of. Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the clinic is spotless and super, super cute! Gave me ideas on how to recommend my baby's room! :) I couldn't recommend this amazing doctor and clinic more. If I could give it 10 out of 5 stars, I would. We now have four children receiving care here and have been patients for 3.5 years. Dr. Middleton, the other doctors, NP's, and medical staff are fantastic. They're patient and attentive and great with the kids. We feel heard and respected as we play a role in understanding every step of our kids' care. The front desk staff is terrible. Whether I'm coming or going, in person or on the phone, they seem irritated and short. The experience they provide is a contradiction of everything that happens in the actual patient room. Over 3.5 years it's become a joke to our family that we can always expect them to be rude. It's hard to get the appointment time you want, but that's understandable with such a busy office. I still recommend this office to any parent or soon-to-be-parent-- with the warning to look past the front desk.

When I called in this past spring to set an appointment and to my surprise I was told I can't come in. I had never missed an appointment, been late or missed a payment in years. I was given NO notice of any kind! Why would I set an appointment if I had been dropped? I was shocked and did not know why. Their answer was pathetic. Bottom line is if you dare think of your self and question things that goes against their totalitarian way, you're gone. Also, they're terrible about returning calls in a timely manner. I'm talking 2-3 messages were left over several days with no response. You just get bounced around too much but mostly not called back at all. I also needed to establish a physician for my lower back L4, L5 and S1 pain medications I am on for over 20 years. Nurse practitioner came, took list of my meds mail order. She ordered my meds. Upon receiving the meds I noticed, she didn't order one of my meds for 90 days BUT for 30 days with no refills. I called pharmacy. Pharmacy replied, doctor ordered for 30 days with no refill. I called doctor's office. The doctor says he will not write 90 days or 30 days refill until he checks my physical. The clinic is stuck up, making totally irrelevant excuses to write meds refill or for 90 days. In order to further establish state of my physical, doctor went ahead with my blood test. I also requested to check if I am allergic to any unknown allergy. Besides, The unqualified staff who don't know how to read blood pressure. The pressure was so high, the nurse practitioner refused to order my medication I am using for almost 20 years. Well anyway, I went back to get blood drawn for testing purpose making sure there is nothing wrong anymore apart from some unknown allergic reaction I had earlier. The 2nd nurse came in to draw my blood. She can't even find my vein. Huh.... She send 3rd nurse to draw the blood. She gets it without making "ANY EXTRA DIGGING" efforts. Two days after, doctor on duty on Sunday calls asking "IF I AM DOING OK?" I was surprised. I went curious asking why what you find? Doctor says, my "SUGAR IS SO LOW" he wanted to make sure I am ok. I said something is wrong with your test. My sugar isn't as low as might think. I am absolutely active, working, going to gym. He said, there should be something wrong in test. He asked if anything went wrong while they drawing the blood? I said, the nurse named Deborah could find my vein. So she went ahead ask 3rd nurse to draw the blood. That's all. He orders 2nd blood drawn. I went today for another blood draw. 4th nurse came to draw the blood. He instigated if I get bruises a lot. I said, yes depending on how much you dig in my body. He takes my blood, then leaves all near by me, goes out to check if I have follow up appointment for test result discussions. I requested again, to write refill plus 90 days supply for my pain medicines. The receptionist said, she will send in message forward. They will call. Nurse named Deborah called, started crying for the same. They will not order another refill or 90 days supply. I said, you are not making any sense. She Says, my blood pressure was too high. It seemed like the doctors office practicing unethical behavior to cash on new patience. Moreover I am above 60 so I am a target of their atrocious pattern of behavior. After she ran off her ONLY PA's (that were caring for me under her), In her words, "You are a 30 minute patient and I only have 10 min per patient find someone else." She failed to provide continuity of care, a referral to another doctor, or any additional assistance. In my most serious time of need, she abandoned me due to the complexity of my case. In her words, "Everything wrong with you! Go somewhere else." I was seeing her PA's Tom Pham & Drew Reynolds but they walked out the same week without giving her notice. According to her staff, due to her anger issues they finally had enough. I had been there when she and Tom would scream & yell at each other and it was kind of scary & very unprofessional but I just thought it was an isolated incident and didn't dwell on it. Everyone has their bad days. However, I was continuing to get more sick & PA Drew wouldn't order certain tests & medication due to her disapproval of his thinking outside the box ways. She had control issues clearly but when it affects patient outcomes that's when it's more than concerning. Once her only PA's walked out, she was juggling both the Lake Nona & Dean Rd locations as the ONLY MD/provider until she hired Deann Le. However, Deann would only prove to back Dr Nguyen's conduct by also offering no assistance stating, "According to Dr Nguyen, you have to go somewhere else for your care." As it turns out, I now have been told that I have multiple overlapping autoimmune diseases & related complications due to the delay of care & for lack of care continuity. If you value your life or that of your loved ones, please go to a provider who WILL not limit your visits based on money alone but rather, a responsible physician. I found Dr Sarah Siddiqui and I'm thankful that I did. She's also in Lake Nona. I don't leave a serious review like this lightly. I finally left it in the hopes of maybe saving someone else from the nightmare that my family has had to endure due to her negligence. If you're really complex I can also recommend UF Health Shands in Gainsville (I was there for 2 weeks) and/or a referral to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville (went there as well for 4 months).

After calling and leaving a message for clarification about a medical order, I never received a return call. When I called back later that day, I was simply told I needed to schedule an appointment to speak with the doctor. The office is over 30 minutes from my home, so it's not as if I can just stop by to resolve a communication issue. Like many large practices, everything goes through a call center, making it nearly impossible to reach the office directly. Florida has no shortage of medical providers. Customer service is what separates exceptional practices from mediocre ones, and this experience has been disappointing. I'm posting this in the hope that it gets the attention of the front office. I'll update my review if the situation is resolved.

I was nervous to try a new office but heard such wonderful things about this practice. Dr.Khan has really made me feel comfortable and at ease when coming into the office. She has an incredible attention to detail and is extremely thorough with her examinations. I always appreciate her willingness to explain things to me and how she is always ensuring that I understand what is happening and my options. I also appreciate that the practice offers mental health services in addition to primary care. I feel like having it all under one roof makes that referral and ability to connect to the right resources so much easier! Scheduling is also super easy! They are always able to find a time to get me in which I like! The front desk staff is so friendly and able to help answer questions whenever they come up.
