Many hereditary eye diseases run in my family, and I feel very thankful that the optometrist Tim Smicker, OD examines my eyes here. During my first visit over five years ago, Dr. Smicker told me information that none of my previous optometrists had ever told me. He explained how my eyes were starting to experience presbyopia and that I do not yet need bifocals. He gave me an Amsler Recording Chart to use every other day to detect and monitor progression of macular degeneration. He also gave me a patient referral form and a list of ophthalmologists so I could schedule an appointment with a specialist for my retinas. Each year, I have visited this business to receive eye exams and to purchase my eyeglasses and contact lenses. My eyes get a little worse over time, and Dr. Smicker always finetunes my prescriptions so I can see as clearly as possible. The employees here gave me a trial pair of contact lenses to wear while I wait for my year-long supply of contact lenses to ship to my house. Most recently I bought 1.5 years of contact lenses for $534 after insurance (!). This year I decided to try progressive eyeglasses for my presbyopia. The employee kept telling me different prices, but in the end the actual price was OK, and they work better than my past single-vision eyeglasses did. My husband also receives eye exams and eyeglasses here. Dr. Smicker has correctly performed his eye exams, and the employees have helped him to select eyeglasses that look good on his face.

I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of glasses from here!…read more SEE has so many fun and unique pairs of glasses. It's definitely not for someone who wants a simple pair. The store it's self is very sleek. I love how open the space is and there are plenty of mirrors around the store to conveniently check out which pair looks best. One of biggest thing with any business is customer service and SEE does not disappoint. It's probably the best the service I've ever received. All the staff are incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly. They don't push you to buy anything. Yes they are trying to sell you glasses but they want to make sure you are completely satisfied with pair you choose. One downside was I did have to call to see if my glasses were in but that wasn't really a big deal. I just picked up my glasses and I love them! Can't wait to go back and get another pair.

They gave me house-brand moist towelettes to clean my glasses with. These were very rough and either the isopropanol in their formula was made with extremely hard water or their added water was extremely hard, as judged by the absurd, persistent cloudiness from residue left on my glasses after a clean. Overall, wasted 20 minutes looking at glasses once and chem-perma-fogged my glasses during lunchtime one day. Friendly workers.

The optometrist was okay, and the prices are better than at other shops like Lenscrafters (even…read morethough they are owned by the same parent company). However, you get what you pay for in terms of selection and service. Target Optical's selection of frames is basic, and the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. We went through 3 iterations trying to get the right frames and lenses for my wife. The first time, the frame we selected was too big and heavy for my wife who has a small face. The staff just let us roam around without providing any feedback or suggestion. The second time, we picked a smaller frame but they got the measurements wrong and one of the lenses was scratched. The staff tried to claim that my wife just "needed to get used to the lenses" and that the scratch was just a tiny logo from the company. On the third attempt, they got the lenses right, but the combination was still too heavy, and it turns out that there were thinner, lighter lenses we could have gotten that we were never given the option to select! We finally threw in the towel and got our money back. We went to Lenscrafters and the difference in customer service is night and day. The person there looked at different options for frames, helping us to select something that would work for my wife, and even suggested other stores to look at (competitors!) if what they had to offer didn't meet our needs. So overall, if you just need a cheap frame and lenses and don't mind bad service, then this Target Optical location is fine, but if you want better selection and good customer service, look elsewhere. (Note: this review is for the Target Optical Waterfront location specifically, we also went by the Target Optical on Penn Ave, and the staff there was much friendlier. Same small selection, though).

This past time, I tried a brand new type of lenses and needed an adjustment when they arrived - the customer service was truly excellent. There is a large collection of glasses available. Today, I just needed my glasses fixed. I visited 3 other shops (Oakmont, Lens Crafters, and America's Best) the day before I cam back to Verona Eye Care. None of them could fix my glasses, and some even said my glasses were mangled and beyond fixable. They said there was a part missing at the top of my glasses. I was expecting the fixing process to take days, but the receptionist (receptionist! Not the doctor) fixed my glasses within a minute. She was very friendly and all around great. She even did this fix for free! I've had these glasses for years, they are sturdy, and I definitely trust Verona Eye Care to provide high quality glasses at reasonable prices and with great service. The optometrist is efficient. They are closed on Sundays unfortunately. My mother had an iffy experience here once where they recommended she go to Oakmont Eye Care instead (could have been the language barrier). But, this is definitely my go to optometrist. Quick, efficient, friendly, experienced, good with kids. I'll come back for glasses and a checkup anytime I need it.

Asked her to check before I drive almost an hour to verify they are perfect rounds. "Yes they are, I checked". Exact same lens shape as first set. I actually question if they were remade honestly.
