I would literally trust Hellen with my life!! Before I found out about her, I always went to different lash techs and I never had a set tech. What I'm definitely more particular about too is my eye shape. As an Asian monolid girlie, I always found it hard to find lash techs who can mold their style to my eye shape. It's always either too dramatic or too natural and not worth it. I went into a rabbit hole of lash tech searching on Instagram and then when I stumbled onto Hellen's page, it was an instant connection! I know that sounds bizarre or dramatic, but I'm a firm believer that every girl has a lash tech/hairdresser/mail tech etc. that is best suited for them and I found my person. I loved her aesthetic and her work! When I looked into her work, I was so impressed. It was so clean, full, and she had such a variety of different styles for all eye shapes - I truly have never had a bad set from her, and they've all lasted so long. Before Hellen, none of other lash techs ever told me how to maintain healthy lashes and they were all always so abrasive and harsh with my lashes. I was never able to fully relax while getting them done because my eyes would be burning or because I just wouldn't feel comfortable. But in my years going to Hellen, I literally never have my eyes burn - EVER, and she makes you feel taken care of. She sometimes makes her own lash cleansers and they're AMAZING as well!! I thought burning eyes were always normal because other lash techs said my eyes were probably just sensitive to the glue, but Hellen told me that that isn't correct. She's very transparent and she truly does care so much for her clients. I love her so much lol I can probably talk about how amazing she is both as a lash tech and as a person for hours! I commute from Corona to OC just to get serviced by her every 2-3 weeks for my lashes for the past 4 years. She also has other services like brow shaping, brow laminating, and lash lifts - all of which I've done with her before and I absolutely LOVE those results too. Typical example of popularity going to someone's head . It is not often that I find myself writing bad reviews. I am 36 years old and have been getting beauty treatments for the past 20 years ,and this was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had . After reading the good reviews I decided to give Helen a shot , I went to her a total of three times ( I even drove 45 min to go see her ) . 1st appointment was on the 25th of October. I and was booked for the Hybrid set , was satisfied with the result and booked followup appointments from way ahead as I could see her schedule was quite busy. We had a nice conversation while doing the lashes and all went well . As much as the lashes were great they didn't last me as long as I expected and most started to fall out before my follow up visit . Tried to move the appointment for earlier, but everything was booked. So the weekend before I was meant to see her I put on falsies as had an event on Saturday . 2nd appointment was back on the 20th of November. When I went back the second time she said she would be charging me for a full set since there was not much left, I was totally ok with it as I totally understand that is the policy and would not want anyone to work for free . I asked if she had enough time to go for a Volume set rather than the Hybrid and she said she had extra time , so she went ahead with the Volume set. During my visit she never bothered removing her mask to greet me or say a word to me during the whole process , didn't think much of it and just thought that maybe she was having a bad day . I left on my merry way after paying and was happy with my lashes. After leaving on the 20th of Nov I tried to move my appointment by a week as wanted to be on the safe side. I messaged Helen a total of 5 times but never got a reply back , even tried to call but no reply . I kept on checking the website for a couple of weeks and there was no mention that the place was closed, but just seemed as if the appointments were all taken. I finally received a message from Hellen after almost two weeks telling me that she was abroad and that I should have checked her Instagram account . A little advice here ; if you are running a business you might want to have someone either answer your phone if you are away or have an automated message saying you are away. It is not that complicated !. 3rd appointment was on the 17th of December and this is when the whole ordeal started. The 17th finally came and my lashes this time round lasted longer as really took good care of them . Went up on the bed and Hellen immediately said that she would charge me for a whole volume set as I had eyelash glue residue .. I told her that it was not the case as I hadn't used fake eyelashes ,she kept on repeating herself and I told her that if i had used eyelashes like the first time i would tell her and that i am not a kid and not going to stay lying... she kept on rubbing at my eyes and forehead and showed me a little bit of brown mascara residue that came off from my bottom lashes . After that she said she would still charge me the full set even though i didn't use eyelash extensions as I had less than 40% . I told her that I had way more than 40% and that I do not believe it is fair . After a while she just said she would give me my refund back and that she didn't want to do me unless I paid the whole amount . Up till today I am flabbergasted ! So dear Hellen may I suggest you get off from your high horse and that you study a thing or two about customer service , because if you knew anything about marketing you would know that a satisfied client will tell 2-3 people whereas an unsatisfied one, will tell 10-20 people . On a positive note after this whole incident I went to a furniture store and the lady that was helping me out had lovely lashes , when i told her what had happened to me, she was shocked and immediately gave me her girls number who charges less and replied to my message in exactly five minutes .. win win i say . My advice to the people that are reading this review is that you are better off going to a more established place if you are willing to pay the price that Hellen is charging , 190$ for a Volume set is a pretty standard price for most Newport places like Social lashes etc .. so just don't bother with the attitude of this woman, there are lots of other eyelash extension places that offer ten times a better service ! read more

Its been two and a half weeks since I've gotten my eye lash extensions done (volume set) with Hellen, and they are still pretty full and fluffy and very much attached. Why? Because Hellen is amazing!!! A few have fallen out over time, as is natural, but I'm shocked at how great they still look. These same lashes have lasted through a week long trip to Vegas, a friend's wedding (with a full face of professional makeup), and a few days outside in the heat and wind. This is only the second time I've gotten eyelash extensions - my first time I had them done before for my own wedding (with another lash technician at a pretty well known and verrry expensive boutique in Orange County) and it didn't go as well - many of the lashes fell out within 3 days. They were so patchy that on my wedding day my makeup artist was forced to glue individual falsies in between to fill in the patches. I thought it was my oily skin or the heat, but the experience I had this time around with Hellen proves that the other the tech was just not thorough or very skilled. I really wish I had to went to her before my wedding instead!!! Overall, Hellen was so sweet, professional, and managed to calm my nervous twitchy self - all while installing some killer lashes. You can can tell she has put in many hours of practice and is highly skilled. There's a reason she is booked a couple months out - she's just that good! I've been waiting to go through the whole lash experience process to write this review... and I have to tell you... Helen's work is amazing. Seriously. I was a little skeptical at first, but after getting extensions from Hellen... my life will never be the same. I was interested in getting eyelash extensions before I went to Japan in March. I looked up some places on Yelp and Instagram and fell in love with Hellen's work. I really like her style. I think that is the most important thing to look at when getting eyelash extensions. Lash artists have their own style and look, so find one that you like. I booked her for a classic full set. Thankfully, she said that I had a lot of lashes and that they were pretty long so I should be alright with the classic set. She informed me that she recommends some girls go with hybrid depending what she thinks will look good on them. I appreciated her openness and felt like I could trust her. I was really happy with the outcome and was so excited to rock the lashes in Japan. I waited over 24 hours before I wet my lashes, and unfortunately a bunch on my right inner corner fell off. I messaged Hellen and she told me that she would be able to fix it. If I wasn't in Japan, she would have tried to fix it right away, but we had to wait until after my trip. She contacted me to work out a day and time that would work out for the both of us. I offered to drive down for an appointment during my lunch during the week, but she said that she would be able to fit me in on a late Saturday appointment so that I wouldn't have to drive so far. She's so sweet! After the touch up, the lashes lasted a decently long time. I really liked them. I booked another appointment for a fill and asked Hellen if it would be okay if I got a hybrid fill, because I wanted fuller lashes. I LOVED the results. The hybrid lashes last a lot longer than the classic. I highly recommend the hybrid lashes if you're debating between hybrid or classic. Just do it. I got tons of compliments on both the classic and hybrid lashes. My friend really liked my lashes and is gonna go to Hellen when she gets extensions. I WISH I could afford having extentions on all the time... but for now I'll just have to save them for special occasions/trips. Hellen was extremely easy to talk to and I'm really happy that I chose her to do my extensions. She also plays bomb music as she puts on your extensions. Since it was my first time, I had a lot of questions which she answered happily. Eyelash extentions are a bit high maintenance since you need to brush, wash, and blow dry them on cool regularly. I am super in love with my lashes!!!!! I have been to other lash artists before that were cheaper, but you get what you pay for and nothing compares to Hellen's work!! I used to come home with really heavy lashes, where it would hurt when it grew out and I thought this was normal until I came to see Hellen. I love my lashes!! Hellen is great at what she does and it definitely shows through her work. I have gone to other lash artists before, but no one can compare to her. The very first time I got lash extensions, I went to someone else and was not knowledgeable about it. My lashes were very clumpy where it would poke me when it grew out and was so droopy that I looked tired. I realized after (because of Hellen) that the lashes were definitely too long for my baby lashes causing it to droop. Hellen's work is clean, fluffy, and does not clump! My lashes are so comfortable I sometimes forget I even have them on! I made sure I did my research and saw how clean her application was. A few days before Christmas, I finally decided to get eyelash extensions for the first time ! At least by a professional lash artist because in the past, my friend has done them for me and it wasn't until years later that I learned it wasn't the best idea. She used the cluster extensions which I only later learned that it's extremely unhealthy for your lashes because not only were they too heavy but also, she didn't use the correct techniques (my lashes were not properly isolated etc). It's no wonder most of my lashes fell out after a short amount of time ! I'm just really glad I've found Hellen who is very knowledgeable & is always trying to improve her skills or educate herself more. Prior to my appointment, Hellen made sure I knew what to expect by being super informative and detailed with everything. Anytime I had a question or concern, she was only a text away and always replied in a timely manner. On the day of my appointment, I learned that although I have a lot of lashes, they are so short that I couldn't really get a longer and more dramatic result. I knew that it wasn't due to Hellen's skills but rather, my own lashes for being so short. Nevertheless, it wasn't until after I took them off that I realized how much I LOVED & MISSED having longer lashes and now, I can't wait to get them done again ! Hellen suggested for me to start using a lash serum to help grow my lashes a bit longer so that the next time around, I'll have better results. Regardless, I still REALLY liked how they turned out ! Throughout the entire session, Hellen took her time doing my lashes, always made sure I was comfortable and of course, kept me entertained by lots of chit chat. She also sent me home with an aftercare kit that included a mirror, a lash cleanser, 2 lash brushes and also instructions on the best way to care for them to insure longer lasting extensions.
