I explained I needed to get in right away, and it wasnt for a vision test. I told her they were 5 minutes from my work but all other places told me to make am appointment for the next day. If you have an eye issue you want to solve it right away. She took the time to really listen to my issues and my needs. She placed me on a brief hold telling me she'd get me in to Dr. Baumann in 25 minutes. When I got there I just needed to give her my medical insurance card, since my VSP Vision only covered eye exams not diagnosed issues. I filled out 3 forms and she took me back immediately. She then asked me the typical issue questions and the Dr. came in and spoke to me, not at me. He listened to my worries and looked at my eyes right away. After a 10 minute exam he went over the results and thoroughly explained what was going on an was very pleasant. I also mentioned a problem my coworker said she had, and he gave me coupons for over the counter drops people get when diagnosing themselves. Of course they want you to come in, but he offered to save her some money based on what I told him she uses and how shes hesitant to come in herself. He gave me a script and repeated the diagnosis several times, told me to call with any questions and they'd follow up with me once my script was empty. The whole thing took 35 minutes. In and out, very personable and great service. I will use him in the future. I'd like to note I don't wear contacts or glasses, so my care was based on dry eyes with pain and irritation. I was given a prescription drop for a week that is an antibiotic steroid.

I visit this great location on the corner of Schoenherr and Hall Road every 2 years since 2008. I…read moream covered by BC/BS with VSP choice insurance for my eye exam, glasses or lenses. I was greeted after walking in the door by 2 or 3 smiling receptionists at the check in counter. The whole lobby is huge with different areas of designer frames or sun glasses on the walls from children/youth then men and women's frames (see photos). all with one's budget. I walked a few steps to a waiting room area for my 9:30am exam. there are many soft comfy chairs and a counter with a set up of regular and decaf coffee and hot water with regular black tea bags (see photo). I made myself a decaf coffee cream only and drank a 1/4 of it when my name was called for exam and history check. My examiner was pleasant, went through her check list in 15 minutes. Then my Optometrist doctor came in to chat a bit then started my 15 minute eye exam. She is always happy to answer any questions I have and explains herself with my exam since my parents have eye issues, I hope not to inherit with my eyes. Her name is Dr. Xanthi Tuchowski. After finishing up with Dr. Tuchowski I was escorted by the check in nurse to "Lindsey" in the frames area for fitting, paperwork with insurance coverages etc. I picked out a new pair of frames (Free by insurance and 50% off lenses since my old 2nd backup pair was from 2010 and scratched and not worth fixing. So donate old and keep old ones as back glasses. New style of frames, plastic lightweight is great with progressive lenses, no glared, scratch resistant thank you for that option finally. She said 7 to 10 days so ??? Monday the 19th? I took a photo of all the businesses cards of the many different doctors that work at this location. The hours listed are flexible! Overall I spend less, than an hour here since timing is wonderful, efficient and fast with Henry Ford OptimEyes. My new glasses were ready in 7 days 2-17-18. Again efficient great employees who know and enjoy their jobs for delivering #1 customer satisfaction and proud to offer customized eyewear. *Being a 10 year customer I was offered a travel mug or lunch bag so I picked the lunch bag (see photo). thanks to all at Henry Ford OptimEyes ! I have nothing but compliments for Berkowitz and his entire staff. My results now six months in and counting are amazing. During my research, I found his rates are in line and actually a bit lower than other physicians in the area, but this is not the deciding factor in choosing Accents. I viewed numerous before and after photos of procedures done by Doctor Berkowitz and knew he was the doctor for me. All of my procedures were done by Doctor Berkowitz personally. During visits, staff are in attendance but Doctor Berkowitz does all the work. I can't count all of the compliments I continue to receive. I've been 'seeing' Dr. Lakin for quite some time. He's very thorough with eye exams and really knows what he's doing. He has a fantastic attitude toward his craft and is a friendly fellow. Over the years I've also 'seen' Dr. Shick and Dr. Kalkofen. I've always had superb service no matter who was taking care of my exam. Not only are the doctors great, but the technicians who are in charge of doing the workups are always great. I've never been uncomfortable here. The receptionists are also incredibly friendly and make sure to take care of your needs at the front desk. The practice has implemented some electronic communication stuff too which is nice to see. I was able to book an appointment online and the office promptly called me to let me know that the date and time I chose was unavailable. I was able to schedule an appointment right then that fit my needs. I also received a text reminder with regard to my appointment. I love the 'focus' on customer service here. I also want to shout out the front desk staff. They have been super nice and helpful. Original: Office staff were very friendly and helpful. I saw Dr. Robert Feldman. Although I felt he did a good job with the exam, the entire second half of my appointment felt extremely rushed. I specifically came here because I have had issues with my glasses prescription. When I asked if we could discuss my glasses, after he said we were done, he seemed very annoyed. He did take a look however, but his annoyance continued and he made me feel very rushed and unwelcome to ask questions. This is extremely upsetting considering I looked at many reviews and had this place recommended based on a community Facebook page. I am leaving with questions and concerns that were not addressed and will now need to come back because he already was gone immediately after my appointment ended.

When I arrived, they were quite busy and I wound up waiting for approximately twenty minutes to be seen. I completely understand the wait as I came there during one of their busiest times. Once it became my turn i was greeted by a woman with unnaturally dyed red hair, and I could tell, had an already karen like attitude. She sat me down and I tried on my glasses. The first pair, we're my riding glasses. Everything was fine. I could see good. The bifocals were lined up perfectly. The second pair are my daily glasses that I wear all the time. The distance vision portion was perfectly fine, but I couldn't see a thing out of the bifocals. The woman immediately became a bit frustrated and said that all the measurements were what they were supposed to be. And she didn't understand the problem. I told her regardless, I can't see out of the glasses in their current state. Could you please check the measurements? Make sure they're right. We have to send these back. She took the glasses and went into the back room for another 10 minutes came back out and told me to try them again. I put them on and still the same issue. The bifocal portion was way too low on the lens for me to properly see out of I took them off, placed them on the table. And said, very quietly and very calmly, no I still can't see a damn thing. She then immediately began to chastise me and dress me down in front of everybody in the store about my language, and that I am never to use profanity around them and the children that were in there, there was one child. If you can call him that in the store and he was about seventeen years old. And I think he's heard worse things than somebody whisper the word damn. I am a 59-year-old man. I have never been chastised and dressed down by anybody in public that way, that was the most embarrassing thing. I think I have ever experienced. And because of this house of optical is losing a twenty five plus year customer, his wife and his children as well. The only decent thing about that place that I can tell at this time is Priscilla. She was extremely helpful, extremely polite. She took over everything from this vile woman and come to find out, figured out that my eyes were not measured properly by the technician who initially took the measurements, and that the glasses were wrong and needed to be remade. Priscilla deserves a raise. The red headed. Karen deserves a pink slip.

Within minutes of leaving a negative review because my lenses weren't darkening, and there were no…read moreTransition lenses on my receipt, I received a call from Dr. Schwartz telling me to come in so he could take a look at my lenses, since the Transitions lenses should have been included. I went in to have them checked out, and I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that the reason they weren't darkening was just that the days weren't sunny enough. The gentleman who runs the lab was very nice, and put the lenses on a UV light to show me that they do indeed darken significantly. They weren't on my receipt because the lenses have a different name. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are very responsive if you have an issue (or just think you do, in my case). The selection of glasses is fabulous. I had a hard time narrowing it down to a single pair. I can't recommend this place enough.

I have been going here for 14 years. I recently had to have emergency eye surgery. The doctor…read morethat diagnosed me said I had scarring on my retinas and was very visible once my eyes were dilated. My eyes had never been dilated at Weisman even though I'm at high risk. I recently discovered the retinal photo they charge extra for only captures an image of a small central part of your retina unless your eyes are dilated. I will never allow them to care for my eyes or my children's eyes again.

I told her that I learned more in one visit (for my son, not even an appt for myself) then I have learned in many years seeing other eye doctors. dr. Johnny absolutely takes time to explain everything to you about your eyes. I have been seeing another eye doctor and paying out of pocket for a reevaluation every year. Dr. Johnny said that that diagnosis/solution (prism) RARELY EVER CHANGES, so I don't need to keep going back and having it evaluated and paying hundreds of dollars. Holy crap! He also explained what macular degeneration is and what causes it. My blonde son with light blue eyes needs to be wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses as often as possible to prevent it in his old age. So those are just two examples of fantastic helpful friendly information I got in one hour. Not to mention, the staff is so nice and helpful. My husband and I both got awesome frames that we love and get lots of compliments on. (and by the way, just now my husband had an issue with his friends and they fixed it quickly and no problem!!!)
