The Pet Wellness Center off Dove Valley in Phoenix is nothing short of extraordinary, and Dr…read more Stinnett is an absolute gem. We've known for years how wonderful this place is, they've cared for several of our dogs over time, but this visit was especially meaningful and unforgettable. We brought in our 15-year-old, three-legged, amazing boy Jake after one of the scariest mornings we've ever experienced. He woke up unable to walk, unable to see, and in severe pain. He had also experienced a seizure earlier, and given his age and sudden decline, we were truly afraid this might be the day we had to say goodbye. Dr. Stinnett took the time to give Jake a thorough, thoughtful exam, ran blood work, and, most importantly, treated him with compassion, confidence, and care. She knew, even when we were unsure, that this was not Jake's time. While the exact cause of his episode wasn't fully clear, Dr. Stinnett was confident that Jake still had good life ahead of him and she was absolutely right. Just four days later, Jake was back to his normal self. Seeing him walking, seeing, and acting like our happy boy again felt nothing short of miraculous. The entire team at The Pet Wellness Center truly cares for your pets as if they were their own family. That kind of genuine compassion is rare, and it means everything when you're facing one of the hardest moments as a pet parent. We highly--HIGHLY--recommend The Pet Wellness Center and Dr. Stinnett. You will immediately see that this is a special place filled with people who truly love what they do. Thank you, Dr. Stinnett and the entire staff, for giving us more time with our beloved Jake. We will be forever grateful.

I took my senior pup to establish care at this vet since we live very close and I also wanted them…read moreto check a small mass that he has growing on his head. The doctor was very nice and recommended not doing a biopsy but to just remove the mass at the same time as a dental cleaning under anesthesia. The appointment was very quick and they did the other quick normal checks (temperature, asked about diet, etc). This appointment cost $89! That is the most I've ever paid for a check up at a vet in this state and two other states I've lived in. The doctor said they would give me a quote for the dental cleaning and the mass removal and the vet tech said he would get that to me by end the of the day or by the end of the week (this was on a Monday). Next Tuesday rolled around and I still had not heard from them so I called in the morning and they apologized and said they would send the quote. I received the quote that evening, but the quote was only for the mass removal at $1874.00 - $2332.57. I asked to know if this included the dental cleaning. It's now Thursday, almost two weeks after the initial appointment and the person responding to the email said it was only for the mass removal but that the tech could write me a quote for dental cleaning if I want. They also said they noticed a double charge on the quote so the mass removal quote is actually $1404 - $1862. I should mention that the mass is smaller than the size of a dime on a 13 pound pup. I was dumbfounded that they were asking if I wanted a dental cleaning quote as I had already discussed that with the vet and the tech that they would quote me for both. In this timeframe, I was able to get two quotes from other vets and the total quote from these other places (dental and mass removal) were cheaper than the quote for just the mass removal at The Pet Wellness Center. Needless to say, we will be going elsewhere - doing the bloodwork, dental cleaning, and mass removal at a quote of less than $1000! Updating to say I paid $513 for everything (dental cleaning, mass removal, bloodwork, pain meds, etc.) somewhere else. I highly recommend not wasting your time and money and doing the research to find somewhere else to go. The Humane Society does dental cleanings at low-cost as well as many other vets with great reviews in the valley.

My dog is 9 yesrs old and has been treated as this company his whole life. When I got there, they REFUSED SERVICE because this wasn't my normal location. It was their scheduler who suggested I go to this location. And they had the audacity to try to charge me extra for an unnecessary doctor's visit? Absolutely crazy. Never been so upset. They wasted my time and my gas, and now I need to find someone else to see the dog.

They took the time to explain the procedure and the recovery process, which we appreciated. Although the cost set us back financially for a couple of weeks, we are truly pleased with the services and all of the follow-ups. We still have three more weeks to go before the final examination with the same staff, but so far the recovery has been very encouraging. My advice to other pet owners is to communicate well with the clinic and carefully review the estimates so you understand the costs involved and can make informed decisions for your pet family member. Based on our experience so far, I do recommend this surgery center.

The first time we got a same day appointment & this time it was 2 days out. That's pretty quick for a non-emergency issue. They are super fast and punctual when you get there too. Both times we were immediately taken into a room, talked to the vet tech, and the doctor came in 10 minutes later. The front office is really efficient from what I can tell. For our same day appointment, they had already gotten records from our prior vet. This time they did it while we were still there, so we were able to go home with at least one of our med refills. Exam prices are reasonable. If you happen to be a Midwestern student, there's a discount. They also do $25 credit for you and anyone you refer so that was cool. Both Dylan and the blonde/pink-haired tech we had today were super nice. My one dog was shaking and terrified, and Dylan spent several minutes just sitting on the floor getting him to relax. He was even able to trim his nails, which nobody has been able to do. Dr Balu is SO SWEET. Oh my gosh. She also sits on the floor and loves on them. She does really thorough exams and actually feels all over your pet. Our prior vets have been really nice but they really didn't do much of an exam beyond your direct complaint & a quick stethoscope listen. She's very patient and answers all your little concerns. 10/10, while we don't hope to need the vet, this is where we plan to go :)

Otherwise they will charge you an exam fee at each location. This location was an overall fail for us. I called to schedule an appointment for all 3 dogs since 2 were due for vaccines and 1 needed an allergy shot. The 2 due for vaccines and 1 was just a tech appt. I scheduled their appt for 430pm. As I was getting off the phone, the lady said be sure we were there by 4. Even though the spot was 430. I assured we would be there as soon as we could since I was coming from work. We arrived at 4:02 and the lady working was not nice at all. Then the tech came out saying that the receptionist should have told us but since we hadn't been to that location, all three needed exams in order to be seen. Even though 1 was just seen at another location earlier this year. So we said forget it and left. It's one thing if we were actually told in advance. But we weren't. And why have several locations in the same 10 mile radius and not allow the exam at one location be good for the year if they are not seen for a new issue? We went to this location because it was the first available and our poor dogs allergies had her restless all weekend. In the beginning we loved Lovet. Everyone was so nice and loved animals. Now it's just become a transaction and all about making money.
