This is the second time I dealt with Eyes on Bedford. The first time was in 2019 and the service was good. The staff were cordial and seemed to know what they were doing. The Optometrist was wonderful. Such a positive experience led me back to Eyes On Bedford on November 2, 2021. I went to my appointment and didn't recognize any of the staff. The Optometrist I saw was not the original one I had seen in 2019 and she was abrupt and unprofessional she told me I had the beginning of cataracts plus macular degeneration and that my prescription had changed then turned and left the room. I was stunned by the whole situation but as I walked out of the examination room I saw the big ad for 3 for 1 glasses. I decided to update my glasses since my frames were a bit dated. Since I could not see without my glasses I put my trust in the manager to help me pick out two pairs of frames he seemed to have good taste and was so very personable he chose two pairs and in fact, I really liked them. I did not ask the price which was a big mistake because the two frames plus my own sunglasses cost me over a thousand dollars! The third pair was going to be my personal ray ban sunglasses which I would drop off and the lens put in them. It has been over a month since I dropped them off and I have not received my sunglasses. It has been an ongoing issue me calling Eyes on Bedford and always given the same answer pulling up my file to confirm that indeed my sunglasses had been dropped off and they would have to talk to their manager to find out where they may be and a promise to call me right back. Which of course they do not call you back however when I call them back their answer is they should be here on Friday. Yesterday December 13th, I called the office at 10:00 A.M. just to inquire about my sunglasses and I received the same answer, we will have to speak to the manager and we will call you right back. By 4:00 it was evident nobody was calling me back so I called back and spoke to the very personable manager who so kindly helped me pick out my frames suddenly he wasn't so personable he was rude and condescending. No apologies just plain rude and said my glasses should be ready on Friday. Same story I have heard for a month they should be ready on Friday. I still don't have my sunglasses and feel just terrible about this situation. I don't write reviews however if I could spare someone this unfortunate experience I will have done my civic duty! Some reviews give glowing reviews for Eyes on Bedford which if I wrote reviews in 2019 mine would probably have been glowing as well! However, there are poor reviews that resemble my experience to the tee. My only wish is to protect another unsuspecting person who may be on a fixed income to beware of Eyes on Bedford. read more
