I was really surprised after the full treatment. It naturally filled the empty spots!! I would like to thank Jiyu for her delicate skills. Jiyu is very kind. She gave me a detailed consultation about tattoos and how to take care of them after. If I had any question, I could easily reach her, and she kindly reply back to me. **SMP Hair Tattoo*** 1. Tattoo period and time This tattoo was performed a total of 4 times. Each session was conducted over a one-week term, so I received this tattoo for almost a month. It took about 3 hours each session. 2. Pain during the tattoo You may feel some tingling during the treatment, but it is not that bad. It feels pulling a strand of hair. But the tingling gets a little more intense each session. Probably because it stimulates the scalp continuously for a month. Although I am very sensitive to pain, the whole treatment was tolerable. 3. Life during the tattoo I couldn't shampoo for a day or two immediately after the hair tattoo. For two days, I showered with a hair cap on. My head was little itchy. lol I was able to shampoo from the 3rd day, and I tried not to touch the scalp as much as possible. I applied the shampoo to the hair (not scalp) and rubbed it very gently because I didn't want to irritate the tattooed skin. Even when rinsing, I was careful not to shoot water directly to the treated are. After a while, black ink may come off the scalp. **When the scalp starts to get itching, Try not to scratch or touch the scalp. It looked like the forehead is not filled much after the 1st session. The color is very light. But after the 3rd session, I was able to see the difference with my own eyes. I think Ink colors are stacked like layers, as each treatment progresses, so the color gets darker, and the area of the scalp become fully covered. After the final 4 session, I was really satisfied by the result. 4. Review after tattoo It has now been about a week since the last treatment, and the tattoo is very natural. The M-shaped forehead has now settled into a flawless nice circular hairline. It really changed the way I look haha. I am very satisfied. Please do not waste your time on concerning how to fill up the empty hairline. The whole treatment can be a little hassle, but after it, you'll wonder why you didn't get the tattoo sooner. Totally recommend it !! ***Eyebrow tattoo*** 1. Tattoo period and time This tattoo was performed 2 times, 1 eyebrow tattoo and 1 retouch. Before the treatment, Jiyu designed the eyebrow shape that best matches the shape of my face, drew it on, and showed it. 2. Pain during the tattoo Before the treatment, Jiyu applied me anesthetic cream. I felt almost no pain. 3. Life during the tattoo For a few day after the eyebrow tattoo, I was very careful when washing my face because I have to avoid touching the treated area whatsoever. If the area got wet somehow, I carefully wiped it off asap and tried not to touch it with my hand. After the tattoo, there is a slight itching and dead skin cells peeling off. This is a normal phenomenon, and after a week or two, the tattoo is well set. 4. Review after tattoo I have thick eyebrows, but the arch of my eyebrows was not pretty, and the length was kinda short. So I got a tattoo, and the eyebrow shape Jiyu designed is a classic, timeless and natural. Besides, the color of the tattoo is very similar to my original hair color, which I am very satisfied with. I'm still loving them and it's been almost 6 months since the first appointment with J. The photo with my short hair is after my second touch-up was healed. I do fill them in when I wear a full face of makeup, although it's not necessary. They are not as dark as they appear in the photo however, I was using a filter that made them appear darker. I love them and they are perfect for my face structure! The color and shape is very natural! The photo with me rocking braids was before I got my eyebrows done with J. It would take forever to fill them in to look like that and they still weren't as full as I wanted them to be, but I hate harsh and overly drawn in brows and would settle quickly haha! Unfortunately, after my last experience, I won't be returning. Below is my honest review in hopes that it helps someone before deciding to book with her. During our last appointment, I was 10 minutes late and was met with very hostile energy. When I walked in, I said, "Hi, I'm so sorry for being late -- I ran into traffic." Soya didn't look at me, didn't respond, and went straight to the room without saying a word. I could tell she was really upset. A reasonable buffer between clients would help in situations like this. If a 10-minute delay throws off the entire day, that's something that should be considered when booking appointments -- especially in LA, where traffic is unpredictable. I was honestly hurt by her demeanor because this was the first time I had ever been late, and I gave her a heads up. There have even been times when I arrived before she did. Aside from this one instance, I've always been on time or early. Once seated, I told her I still had a lot of lashes but I wanted a fuller, wispier look. She then informed me she would be charging for a full set because it had been three weeks. For context, it had only been three weeks and two days, but I agreed because I wanted to respect her policy. I booked this hybrid fill a week in advance. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that she wouldn't accept it as a fill and would instead charge for a full set. It seemed like this wouldn't have been mentioned unless I brought it up. If you're expecting a different payment, that should be clearly communicated before the client is in your chair. Also, she did not remove all of my lashes and apply a completely new set, which made the full-set charge even more confusing. When someone is working closely on your face, comfort matters. Her demeanor made me feel extremely uncomfortable throughout the appointment but stuck it out because I had an important event to attend the next day. Unfortunately, the shape of my eyebrows was uneven and different shapes. my lashes were not as more wispy as requested, and there were still tiny hairs left on my lip. Showing absolutely no integrity in her services of her work! Another thing to note: Soya NEVER cleans lashes before starting the service. I overlooked this in the past because of the convenience of her location and because I would arrive with clean lashes anyway. However, professional estheticians ALWAYS cleanse lashes before beginning a service, so I think that's especially important to mention. This had led me to believe that maybe Soya was discriminating against me. Wondering if anyone else has this experience with her.... I also want to point out that she offers a $10 discount for leaving a review. While that's a nice incentive, it may not always reflect completely unbiased feedback. Many reviews describe her as super nice, but that hasn't been my personal experience, which is why I hadn't left a review until now. I wouldn't describe her as mean, but I also wouldn't describe her as warm or friendly either. She has never asked how my day was or engaged beyond the service and payment. I continued going to her for convenience and reasonable pricing, not for conversation. However, I refuse to continue paying someone who can't even acknowledge me with a hello when I walk in. I'm posting my loyalty card to show this is coming from a real, repeat client -- not a hater. Maybe she was having a bad day, but still, I would never treat a returning customer the way I was treated, especially in a business built on providing personal beauty services. I'm also posting a picture of my eyebrows which she messed up before my big day. One has an arch and the other doesn't. She completely changed the shape and made them skinnier- which I DID NOT ask for. This picture of my eyebrows are two days old, you can see for yourself that she did me BOGUS.
