This is a bright clean spot. The staff are very helpful and the time to complete the appointment was fairly quick. The receptionist was very interesting. Initially she was very cold and unwelcoming (on arrival), but then very friendly once I had filled out my paperwork and returned it... saying (to herself and answering herself) "...did you complete page.. 2?... yes?, GREAT! And don't forget to sign the last pa.. oh good! You did?! GREAT!..." Then for some reason she completely changed her attitude and was SUPER kind( ?). The absolute worst customer service. These people sold our information including recorda to a 3rd party and cannot retrieve simple records. They use shady business tactics to try and take more money out of those that pay out of pocket. After 3 months of waiting for my contact lense prescription, they told me that they could've reorder contacts when I initially asked them to and told me no but they could get me the contact prescription so that I can order. Now they tell me that I cannot use that prescription because its been over a year but when I requested them it wasn't. Acknowledged they screwed me over and all they said was "sorry it happens". Do not give your money to these people. Over $2,000 spent on them and this is how they reward your loyalty. I haven't purchased new glasses for years. This visit was long overdue. I did not remember where I had last purchased glasses, so I looked for someplace nearby. Eyeglass World was a great choice. Greeted when I walked through the door, I was walked through all the processes. The doctor is on-site with the eyeglass store (which is pretty normal these days). He was patient and friendly, taking time to understand my habits and make the best recommendations for my eyeglasses. I picked out two frames, one for daily wear glasses and one for sunglasses. I visited this store over a year ago. Eye exam and ordered glasses. I wanted to give my glasses a good full year of use before I reviewed. My review is mostly based on glasses. Although I will say that the staff wasn't the friendliest. They were when they were ready to sell an item to me. But not a first impression nice. After a few months of wearing the glasses, which were very expensive as they are progressives, and I purchased the special coating and all that. I had to return as I had a warranty on the glasses and they were covered in scratches. I loved the glasses and was only using the eyeglass cloths, but still scratches. Maybe a one-off... so stopped in after work about 530pm and they were all straight faced, wouldn't look up at me, had purses on their tables, ready to go. I felt like I was really inconveniencing them. They made me hand the glasses over, so I had to go back to an old pair which is a different prescription. All good just want my glasses fixed. Even spent more money purchasing contacts. I've been wearing the glasses received from warranty for almost a year now and they are so badly scratched, I can no longer see out of them. I've never seen this happen to glasses and I've been wearing different ones (1-2 new pairs per year) for the last 32 years. Maybe a super cheap manufacture? I don't know. But the glasses are horrible and I do not recommend this store or the products within. read more

I had a very bad experience. The staff was helpful, but the optometrist there was extremely rude. The person at the front desk had gone to get some input from the doctor. When the doctor had come to front to help the staff member, he did not address me or introduce himself at all and began to ask the staff member questions, thinking nothing of it I went on my phone. Then out of no where the doctor rudely says "Hello! I'm talking to you" addressed to me. This was very disrespectful. Even after all that they couldn't even help me replace my lens. She explained things to me in detail upon me asking questions. And she helped me check out. The prices are very competitive and very affordable starting at $78 for 2 pairs (without insurance). I had my exam etc completed by Lenses Crafters but couldn't stomach the prices. I did want designer frame so I just ordered them online and brought them to Eyeglasses world. The service was pretty great. Because the prices are so low, in addition to getting same day lenses for the Armani glasses that I ordered online, I ended up also purchasing a pair of Versace glasses with prescription also available same day. I ALSO got a pair of Versace Sunglasses without prescription but they will take about 7-10 days because I had to be extra and requested polarization. Overall the customer service was great, the price was fantastic and you can't beat getting lenses in an hour. Laurie was hilarious and super helpful and definitely made my experience A1! I had the manager Ms Bruno reach our requesting to give them a second chance. The district manger also reached out seeking my business. After giving it much thought, I figured why not. I just left Eyeglass World in Ocoee Florida. What a Great experience. I needed to change lenses in and existing pair of glasses. I had already been to my optometrist and had the prescription that I needed. I met with Will. he looked at my prescription and asked a few questions. I shared with him the quote I had received from the optometrist. Incredibly the Eyeglass World price was half of what the optometrist wanted to charge. I ended up buying two pairs as it was the same for the one pair the optometrist was charging. Will was very professional. Very informative and not pushy. I called ahead to ask for the price of an exam and they quoted me $59. When I got there, she suggested an extra test (and I agreed) and my bill came out to $78.99. I called around to other eye places and this was the best price. The eye exam went well. The doctor was nice, very knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. Went to Lenscrafters and Target and Eyeglass World had the best prices by far. They were friendly and very helpful on my visit 7/14/10. I took my own frames and had new lenses put in for $50 in 1 hour. They had a pretty good selection too for the next time I need frames. read more

I went here for an eye exam and some new glasses. The help was less than satisfactory. The eye appointment was okay, but I received no help picking out frames. When I found some I wanted, I was helped by an optician's assistant, not an optician. Then when the time came to pay, I was overcharged by 40 dollars. When I asked why, the clerk said it was for the protection plan. I wasn't even told about this in the purchasing process. I asked her to remove this charge. They advertise "Same Day Service" on glasses on their website, so I needed a pair of glasses right away and went there. After my exam, I picked out glasses. I was told me anti-reflective coating for the lens was extra. I told him my Eyemed insurance included that for no charge. He stated my insurance covered "BASIC" anti-reflective, & they only had "PREMIUM" anti-reflective, so he had to charge me. He told me my glasses would be covered if my dog ate them, and would be covered for 1 year. I said great. He never mentioned a fee, then when I paid for them, I noticed a $25 charge. I asked if I could pick up the glasses today, before I went on vacation, since it was "Same Day Service". He said IT WOULD TAKE A WEEK TO GET THE GLASSES! When I showed the printed out ad for Same Day Service from their own website, he looked puzzled. FIRST he stated it would take a week because I had chosen polycarbonate lens, instead of plastic. When I said I would take plastic lens instead, he said it would still take a week. He stated it was because of my progressive prescription, instead of single vision. I pointed to the ad which said nothing of that. THEN, the unbelievable reason he gave was, it was because they did not have a lab in their store, so it could not be the same day. He said other Eyeglass World stores like the Altamonte Springs store had a lab, but the Ocoee store did not. WHAT ???? He stated he had to send the glasses out to a lab. SO HOW CAN THE OCOEE EYEGLASS WORLD STORE ADVERTISE ON THEIR WEBSITE SAME DAY SERVICE IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A LAB TO MAKE EYEGLASSES????? read more

By far the worse experience possible! I had returned to get my daughter her glasses and the manager that helped me was no longer there and the new manager was bad mouthing about her. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The previous manager had assisted me and gave great service to us that's what brought us back in. New to the area so decided to give them a try. I would not recommend going there. The main doctor was condescending and spoke down to me. I'm probably the same age as he is. I was not happy with his recommendation for contacts and he told me that I probably shouldn't wear contacts. I have been a long-term contact wearer and I understand that if a contact irritates my eyes I should choose an alternate. I was rushed in and out of the exam room and still not happy with the results. The front staff seemed unhappy and mustarded up the strength to smile.
