Dr. Richt really cares about your eyesight and will spend as much time as need to make sure you understand and are happy with the visit. When my wife went for her exam, he told her there was no change to her eyesight and she didn't need to purchase any glasses this year. When was the last time someone honestly told you not to spend money on something you don't need? Great doctor, friendly folks, terrific service.

About two weeks later the lens's came in and i still haven't been able to get them put in my frames ( got them at pearle to) The Office in Cleveland TN closes at 4 i was instructed i had to be there 30 min prior to closing at 4:30 i don't get off work until 4 so that's impossible. So i tried stopping by on Saturday. No lab techs work on Saturday, Now I'm trying to get my and the insurance companies money back but its past 30 days so there are no refunds even tough i have been trying for well over a month. if your script is right i'm sure the experience will be a good one. If not expect trouble, they wont see you the same day after your first visit and if you work then your just out of luck unless you want to use a vacation day or sick leave if your company offers it. The staff is friendly but a nice staff doesn't replace a $400 dollar pair of useless glasses. Update: i finally was able to have the lenses put in my frames at Pearle, and i have to say there near perfect. Pearle says their adding staff so that folks who work the same hours there open can get their glasses in a more timely manor and i hope so. After a took a day off to tie up so loose ends including my glasses i was more than pleased with the result. If they truly have changed their policy, they may have close to a great experience when getting glasses or contacts. My best advise is if you have to have bifocals go for the lenses without lines. After one of their staff explained and i was able to get the new lenses she was right, and it made a world of difference. The staff maybe should explain how things work a little better when buying glasses. Then if people are like me and willing to pay a bit more they would get it right the first time and provide a 5 star service. Good Luck to the staff at Pearle they work hard i'm sure and deserve the credit for doing a great job in the end. Update: After i broke my glasses i went back to Pearle, my frames were not repairable and i have to say i was expecting a mess. But the young women who helped was professional, she went out of her way to help me get new frames and had my lenses installed in just a few minutes. i was very impressed with their service since my first visit. This a group that i can say at least pays attention. I noticed while i was there a nice selection of Oakley frames and lenses having had some of these in the past I'm looking forward to having some in the future. If you enjoy the outdoors Oakley is by far the best pair of glasses i have ever had. Go check them out you won't be sorry.

While the affordable glasses are definitely a plus, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. From the moment I walked in, the staff appeared unprofessional--dressed in leggings, graphic tees, and sandals. The exam process didn't feel much better. Instead of an on-site ophthalmologist, the exam was done via Zoom with minimal guidance from what seemed like untrained technicians. What really bothered me was the lack of hygiene and professionalism. The exam room door was left open, and machines were not wiped down between patients. I had to ask the technician for something to clean the equipment myself. To top it off, I overheard one of the techs complaining to a coworker about the doctor "taking 20 minutes with a patient" like that was an inconvenience. That attitude says a lot. From now on, I'll gladly drive to a different location that values professionalism, proper hygiene, and respectful care.

Since the Axis measurements are associated with astigmatism I wanted to know. Got no answer. Also he wrote my name down wrong on the script and I had to have it redone. The only thing I learned from the visit was that opthalmologists have their own measurement system and it is different from that of optometrists. I don't trust my exam.
