Needed cataract surgery so obviously I depended on Dr John Dugan and his terrific staff, at Eye Physicians. They have managed our eye care through some very challenging situations for some thirty years. It was a superb experience and once again , I can see, despite my advanced age. The procedure was performed at the Wills Surgery Center, the only facility I would consider. Their treatment protocols were exemplary and the staff kept patient care foremost throughout the experience. I strongly encourage everyone to consider Eye Physicians for all their vision needs, and, they have a lab on premises, Eye Designs, for the perfect glasses and contacts. read more

Doctor Thomas Beggins is my ophthalmologist at Connecticut eye physicians.. He is excellent. I've had issue with my retina which he has addressed successfully and stabilized for the last eight years. His communication skills are superb. He answers all your questions. Dr. Beggins never rushes you. If you wish additional information in writing, he and his staff provided written literature relevant to your ophthalmological needs. The team that supports him are warm, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Beggins is also very open to working with othe eye specialists and making sure that your eye medical needs are being addressed the best way possible. Connecticut physicians is a great choice with excellent ophthalmologist care needs. I recommend this group. read more

CHIRAG V. PATEL, M.D took on my case of macular degeneration and saved my sight. We have been very satisfied and grateful to this practice , having been patients of Dr Dugan, since the very beginning. While under the care of Dr Patel, I had to endure nine other procedures , several to rebuild my spine , three cancer and several to replace my hips. Despite these complications , Dr Patel gave of himself in producing a schedule that accommodated the timelines for his procedures , around everything else that was happening. The entire staff has always been very responsive and helpful, especially as I was a wheel chair patient. I couldn't ask for a more patient and professional group and the results have been outstanding. I couldn't be more satisfied with an Opthamology group. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that the eye designs component of this practice offers outstanding service in filling prescriptions. My review is for Dr. Hall. I was referred to him for cataract surgery by one of the other team doctors. Both my husband and I have had cataract surgery in recent months by Dr. Hall. He was very friendly, describes all procedures in detail and answers all questions completely and honestly. Appts at Dr Hall's offices in Sewell and Cherry Hill have also gone relatively smoothly and quickly. And equally important I feel confident in his competency. The welcoming staff at the Wills Eye center in Cherry Hill have been particularly welcoming and friendly. My only suggestion would be that the accompanying adult for the cataract surgery be notified when the procedure is completed. However, you are notified 5 to 10 minutes before the patient is to be picked up. read more

Well oiled machine!!! A lot of people work in this office, but everyone seems to know what is going on . All my visits have been positive ones . I do feel a little rushed with Dr. Gordon but I do understand there are other patients waiting . I'm grateful that there are no serious issues. One employee really stands out to me and that is Joanne. What a wonderful personality !!! Dr. Lingappan is an incompetent ophthalmologist! Patients beware!! I recently lost vision from macular degeneration. This did NOT have to happen. With this eye disease I should have been seen every six months after the age of 50, and told of all the dietary precautions I could take to assist in slowing the disease down. I was told absolutely NOTHING. I am now a Will's Eye retina patient with lost vision due to her incompetence. In Dr. Lingappan's words, " so sorry ,you must of slipped through the cracks!" So BEWARE if you have been diagnosed with dry macular degeneration, it needs to be monitored and you don't have to lose vision if it is detected early transitioning into the Wet MD. There are medications to help you keep your vision and prevent it from getting worse. You will not know it is happening as one eye provides for loss in the other eye. Use an Amsler's Grid everyday to protect yourself. This is all the information that I did NOT receive under Dr. Lingappan's care. A life changing mistake for me. I pray it doesn't happen to anyone else. If diagnosed withAMD go to Will's Eye immediately for the best care. read more

Went to this doctor for 30 years and they dropped my insurance in April. They no longer take VSP. Told me my husband on Medicare and gap was covered. Today They asked if we would pay $50 for refraction we said no. Tech didn't do it. Doc walks in and does it and charges $50. Office manager says he signed for it. Umm no he refused it. Since I have VSP it would have been covered at a different place. Lost 2 loyal patients. I lost a days pay and $50 because I was lied to begin with then lied to by the office today. Had to reschedule a follow up appt for this morning because I was called into work. I really needed to either see my doctor or see another one because the problem I originally went for is still very bad. The original doctor can't see me for a month and they won't let me come into see a different doctor even though I'm still driving with double vision. The office manager that I spoke to this morning was very nasty as was the phone person that I spoke with this afternoon. I can't believe they are actually allowing me to keep driving with double vision instead of getting me an immediate appt with a different doctor in that practice. There are many. I was thankfully able to get an appt with SJ Eye Physicians for Friday. They realize the importance of been seen quickly. Office staff sucks. No help at all even in an emergency situation. read more

just recently moved to Voorhees, was looking for a Eye Dr. close. was sooo pleased to find this office with all Doctors from Wills Eye Hospital! so today was my Appt. the staff is rude & condescending! I assumed that my appt. would include an Eye Exam & a Script for eye glasses if needed. I'm on Medicare & Horizon BCBS. I was told I can only have an eye exam, and to be checked for glasses would be an additional &50! this has never happened before at ANY other eye Dr. I also had a 10:30 appt. and first was checked I had Tech give me eye exam, told to wait to see Dr. 30 minutes later saw Dr. she put drops in my eyes, I was put in waiting room, and sat there for another 45 minutes! when I asked someone when I will be seen, they said I was a new Patient & that takes longer,I said im not being seen,I told them all I did was sit & wait! along with everyone ELSE! read more

All the staff (in Voorhees, NJ) were friendly, courteous, and professional. The one lady (apparently a technician) that checked my vision did it so well the doctor didn't need to retest or make any adjustments. However, the doctor herself left a whole lot to be desired. At least she tried to answer my questions but she could only speak in medical jargon as if I also had a medical degree. I asked her to explain it in more detail a couple of times but she had no idea how to use different words to explain what she was talking about. She just kept repeating herself as if I had not heard her the first time. After the third time I asked her to explain, without the jargon, she got frustrated and just said "I don't know how else I can say it." Seriously? That's a huge problem. Simply not understanding that repeating the same exact words is not an actual explanation is a huge fail. She may know her stuff medically but she should be in a research lab or something since she can't seem to communicate with anyone who hasn't been to medical school. In all fairness, it's been a while so I'm no longer 100% certain but I am 99% confident it was Dr. DENISE FARNATH-ALBER. To top it off, she steered me wrong about getting progressive lenses and kept telling me I wouldn't be able to read well if I didn't get them. I've been able to read perfectly fine over a year later and looking through the bottom of the lenses offers no discernable improvement whatsoever. So it seems she not only cannot communicate but isn't even as good at her job as she thinks she is. Overall, I rated this office as 2 stars but the real breakdown is 5 stars for the staff and 1 (at best) for the doctor. read more

Like some people may have said there are long waits here, but in today's society when does that not happen! As for me, long waits are not a problem when you get exceptional care. I'm a patient of Dr. Cox and I'm confident enough to put my trust in her. She's an awesome doctor who knows exactly what she is doing and cares for the good of her patients. I was also treated in an emergency situation by Dr. Alber and she too is very knowledgeable and caring. Everyone there from the doctors, girls at the front desk, the techs, and ladies in billing have always been friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the office in Voorhees! read more

If your goal is to wait, then this is the place to go. They overbook appointments and you end up sitting and waiting for an absurd amount of time. The techs seem nice and knowledgeable, but it's a good whole before you see a doctor. Take the afternoon off to visit the place, as you'll need it. read more

I have been going to the doctor there for 5 years and really liked her. However, it has become an eye exam money factory. The techs do 99% of the assessment now. You wait forever to see the doctor now, who literally looked into my eyes for 2 minutes. What is fraud is telling the client they need to be dilated once they are there, and NOT when making the appointment! Since I could not go to work dilated, they said I would have to come back. All the sudden I had some frightening problems with my eyes, things went super blurry on me, needed to see a Ophthalmologist asap. I did a little research on the net & decided to give this place a try. It's a very relaxing/spacious office. This practice seems to be affiliated with Wills Eye Institute (or it seems some of the doctors are, not sure). I was assigned to Dr. Ahila Lingappan. She was super friendly, professional & has excellent 'bedside manners'. She is a very good listener. (most important to me). She made me feel really relaxed (I become a big baby when I have something wrong with my health, I tend to think of the worst). This was my first experience with the 'EyePhysicians' and so far, I would recommend this place (especially Dr. Ahila Lingappan). read more

They don't care how long you wait and do nothing to stop it from happening every time you're there. Today was my final straw. I waited an hour and a half to see the Dr for literally 2 minutes! All I needed was to pick up trial contacts. Oh, and I was told my appointment was at 10am,but 10:30 was on my sheet. The woman across the hall had 10:30 on her save the date card,but her sheet said 10:45. Don't be fooled by an empty waiting room. They have plenty of techs to take you right back for the first part of the exam, but you will wait forever to actually see the doctor. read more

Dr. Lingappan is very polite, thorough, and easy to talk to. However, I've at times been given an appointment to see her partner Dr. Gordon who doesn't treat patients with the same respect. On two occasions, I've asked Dr. Gordon a question and got an indirect answer which made it pretty clear that she wasn't listening. 5 stars for Dr. Lingappan. Minus 1 star for Dr. Gordon and the consistent long (1 hour) wait to be seen. read more

Dr. Gordon has alway been polite and courteous over the many years every time I have seen her. Yes the wait is a little longer than you want but doctor Gordon and the techs know what they are doing. If you buy glasses Tara is a wonderful person. She is a delight to work with, and goes above and beyond to please you. Can't say how happy I have been with eye physicians over the past few years. Been here a couple times, the people are nice but they don't always have what you are looking for in terms of glass/sunglasses selection. The location is pretty big, but it encompasses both doctor area as well as glasses viewing section. A nice alternative to a mall eye doctor. read more

I see Dr. Lingappan for my regular checkups and Dr. Patel for retinal problems. Both are very kind and caring. If you have an issue that needs immediate attention, you will get an appointment. Sometimes you have to wait because the doctor is caring for someone they had to squeeze in due to an emergency. You will receive quality care at this practice. read more

I will definitely not be going back to this location or Any eye Physicians for that matter. Lets begin with the staff, as soon as you walk in they look at you as if you landed from another planet and look so unwelcoming. Never pleasant greeting at all! Then they collect your info including insurance of course, (and if your lucky they will know how to process that part and correctly) then your in the huge waiting room for about 20 min for NO REASON! Your called to the back, and let me add Ive been there for initial check up as well as multiple times to see if they can get my contact measurements correctly, they cant even do that, they walk past your door times and times again, if not the techs are standing around starring at eachother. How many techs do you need when you have only a hand full or less of patients. The older Caucasian "Eye Doctor" is only concerned in getting her money for the person shes seeing it appears. Seems to blow off the apt really quick, which is why I had to make an apt for contacts 3 TIMES! Then I get a bill from their office stating I owe when it was not correct! I got a late notice, and when I call no one knows what your talking about so they direct your call to multiple people, and then want to call you back when they figure it out. They need to just close down and go out of business. My daughter is having the same issue, & on top of it, the older lady that works in the contact section spoke so rudely to my kid as if she knows how the insurance works. Its YOUR job to know how to process an insurance claim NOT OURS! NEXT TIME LOOK INTO THE CUSTOMERS FILES AND YOU WILL BE MORE AWARE OF HER PREVIOUS SERVICE AT YOUR CRAPPY LOCATION! BTW* The other younger Dr at this location is a sweet person, shows she genuinely cares about her patients and their concerns!
