No stars. I visited America's Best in Ankeny today with my husband, my mother, and our 8‑month‑old…read moregrandson. We had already completed our eye exams and were simply there to pick out frames. We were three separate customers -- my husband and I have insurance, and my mother does not. When a sales associate became available, she began helping my mother. My husband and I waited patiently for the next available associate. However, when that associate opened up, we were told we had to wait and that the same person helping my mother would be assisting all three of us together. I explained that we had been waiting and had arrived before several other customers who were now being helped ahead of us. We were still told we had to wait. At that point, I said my mother would finish her transaction, but my husband and I would not be purchasing glasses there, especially since we had an infant who wouldn't stay content much longer. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the manager on duty. She avoided eye contact, ignored what I said, and showed no concern for the situation. My mother completed her purchase, and we left. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing and unprofessional, and we won't be returning.
