I live in Lincoln and drive to Omaha for glasses because he is so quick with turnaround and the prices can't be beat as he has almost zero overhead. If he take a vacation his Dad (who is now retired) is watching the shop for him. Ten years ago I was packing for vacation and had forgot to order contacts in. He mailed me a disposable pair to get me through and they arrived the next day. That's why people go to him, He is a one-man show and treats every customer as HIS customer...something you don't get in larger stores. I am heading down there next week ...just booked an eye exam with Doc (Optomitrist who is there 3 times a week doing exams) and it will cost me around $60. That's a crazy good deal. In Lincoln I paid 3 times that when I tried to stay closer to home.) With the savings on my lenses (Owner cuts many of his own lenses) I will save a bundle even after gas money. He carries many designer frames and sunglasses. I have bought Nike, Jimmy Choo, couple of Maui Jim pairs from him...for eyeglasses he had D&G, kate spade, Coach plus tons of economical frames, as well. He had one section of budget-friendly frames that are as low as $50. I tried on a few from that one that were similar to Nike and the RayBan ones across the wall. The place is probably not as posh as the newer eyeglass places...not going to lie, but I will take the savings off my fab specs and sunglasses and the lack of decor doesn't bother me in the least. Customer service and a good deal will win every time in my book.

I have struggled with having good eye/eye doctor experiences so I was looking for someone new. From…read morethe moment I reached this company and was able to get an appointment scheduled with in a week - I was happy. The staff who checked me in and did my initial testing were all wonderful. The doctor made me feel so comfortable and retested me looking for cataracts. He found them and explained that they may have been what messed up my lasik's a little. He was great to work with and I did not plan to get my eye glasses here as they often seem more expensive at the doctor's office, but man was I happy to find an affordable option and had them in less than two weeks. I am so happy I found this place and plan to reach out to them when I am ready to consider having my cataracts removed. But will also do my eye appointments here.

My wife had some surgery on her eyelids here to remove some packets of fat that had grown over the…read moreyears. They were large enough to be considered a medical necessity to remove them. The actual surgery was done next door at the surgical center. My wife received exceptional care and follow-up. Her eyes are healing nicely and she looks and feels so much better.

I first came to definitive vision after pain in my eye led me to seek optometry care that was near my work. They were able to get me in right away in an emergency appointmen. When I met with Dr. Heiss, she was quick to tell me what was wrong with my eye and offered solutions to help. She gave me some eye wipes to trial which worked wonderfully. I then came back for my annual eye exam at a different location and everyone was helpful. I like that it's a smaller place, but it's certainly more expensive than anywhere I've been in the past, so that's kind of a bummer. I love the eyeglass selection, they're very stylish and unique. This year, I decided to take my favorite frames and put updated lenses in them, I love that that's an option. I'd recommend coming here, because it feels like a posh boutique and everyone is helpful and friendly, but the cost might be a bit prohibitive for people. Or maybe that's just my eye insurance!

I had ordered a new pair that the lenses weren't quite right on my distance bifocal. Within 6 days, I had the new pair exchanged. WOW. I'm 66, and I think it's the best eyesight I've had in at least 13 years!! I'll be back next year for a 2nd pair, too! When I reacted to their bullying antics, that is when the gaslighting began. Dr. Lichtenburg is the owner and she is the leader to her minion staff. She allows her "top notch" front office girl, Candy, to get in patients faces with pre-mediated designs on possibly physically harming the patients, she instigates and promotes bullying and Dr Lichtenburg allows grossly over exaggerated situations to occur. I felt threatened in this office. I felt disregarded and there was ZERO accountability from this office or office manager for how their staff mistreats patients. Right, wrong, or indifferent, there has been reasons as to why I've had difficulties with this horrible practice and it all boils down to how staff are lead and their is ZERO positive moral and very poor leadership. The owner should feel ashamed for her behavior. The last time I spoke with the doctor, she called me acting concerned about what had happened the previous day, and then cut me off mid sentence and began bullying me herself. When I hung up on her, she kept calling me back. I finally had to tell her to stop calling because it was beginning to be harassment. I hate to say it but I think my unfair treatment was due to me being Hispanic. Sad but true.

UPDATE: I'm updating my review to reflect that my issue was eventually resolved. The last doctor I…read moresaw took the time to properly evaluate my situation and helped me get to a solution, which I truly appreciate. That being said, the process to get to that point was extremely frustrating. I was given four different trial pairs of contacts that didn't work, and for a long time I didn't even know my actual prescription. During that time, I experienced eye strain, headaches, and ongoing visual discomfort while continuing to wear an outdated prescription. It was also very difficult to get in contact with the office. I attempted to call multiple times to schedule a retest, but the phone was rarely answered, which made it hard to get the help I needed without going in person. While I'm grateful that the issue was resolved in the end, the overall experience was still stressful and time-consuming. I hope the office can improve communication and follow-through so other patients don't have a similar experience.
