Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendants. Jasmin was able to take me in as an early walk in, even though my appointment was set for 2.5 hours later today. This made my afternoon feel accomplished knowing I can get my eye exam in right away. Jasmin was also very helpful and pleasant with the appointment before seeing Dr. Park. When I met Dr. Park, I immediately felt a warm friendly and professional presence from her. My eye had been twitching and she recommended self care to help with stress relief which was causing my eye to twitch for over a year now. I felt emotional and happy to know her expertise could be so helpful to my overall life, she's can easily be a wonderful therapist! The entire visit was very smooth and laughs and good energy was exchanged from all I encountered during my eye exam from being checked in by Jasmin, Dr. Park, and paying for my eye exam, which was only $140 for the contact lense and eye glasses exam. I am from Hawaii but was in Vegas on vacation. And I wished I lived in Vegas after my experience with Dr. Park and her staff. I lost a contact and needed a replacement to tide me over until I got home. I was able to walk in and be seen without a long wait. The receptionist/nurse was polite and patient with me (with me, the patient, hehe, see what I did there). Dr. Park was extremely thorough, and attentive to accuracy in getting my prescription right. I have never been through an eye exam as comprehensive as hers. I really wish she could be my regular eye doctor. She then took her time helping me practice putting in/taking out my new soft contacts as I usually wear GP. I walked out with soft contacts and an exam at a price that was too reasonable! Visited this office for the first time and was extremely satisfied with the service from Dr. Ellen and the whole front staff as well! The wait time was very minimal and the staff was very accommodating with scheduling my appointment and getting photos of my eye done ASAP! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING TO THIS PLACE BECAUSE HER OFFICE STAFF/TECHS ARE THE WORST!!! I walked in as a new patient because I had an emergency with my contact lenses. The techs who I wasn't able to get the names (because they don't have a badge) were the Hispanic and Indian-looking ones. The Indian lady (dark skin, round eyes, black hair) told me that the consult was $110. So I went on to proceed with the consultation and filled out the paper works right when they opened at 10am. They both told me that there was a 10:30am appointment but I will be seen right away. I was asked to go to this little room to check the pressure of my eye and another test, in which both machines require you to press your forehead and chin onto it. The machines DID NOT HAVE ANY PAPER on where you press your body parts as an infection control mechanism for body contacts between patients NOR DID THE INDIAN LADY clean the machine before making me use it. I had a gut feeling that it WAS NOT CLEANED after the patient who used it BEFORE ME. AND I WAS RIGHT, NOW, THE DAY AFTER, I BROKE OUT WITH PIMPLES ON MY FOREHEAD AND CHIN!!!!! DISGUSTING!!! 11am and I haven't been called to see the doctor yet. At 11:30am the Indian lady told me if I wanna come back in the afternoon because NOW, THERE'S ALSO AN 11am, 11:30, 11:45, 12:00, so on and so forth appointments!!! But she ONLY TOLD ME that there's only a 10:30am appointment when I walked in!!! Not only that, I found out that Dr. Romy Park WAS NOT EVEN THERE!!! And they didn't tell me that when I arrived!!! When I expressed my frustration about their WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, the Hispanic lady and Indian looking lady STARTED WHISPERING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!! YOU GUYS THINK IM BLIND?!?! I've been going to Dr. Park for years now and I couldn't be more pleased. She's extremely professional and I feel completely comfortable going to her. In the past it's been hard to find a great eye doctor. They're usually the ones that I'm not too fond of when it comes to seeing doctors. However, that completely changed for me by going to Dr. Park. She's extremely patient and very knowledgeable, and answers all my questions. I've never felt rushed during an appointment and she's very honest about what she finds and provides me with what I need in case I need a follow up. Also, her friendly staff makes it easy to schedule out an appointment and I never feel like I'm being a hassle. Dr. Park is definitely an eye doctor that I'd recommend. Only downfall for me, is that she's about 30 mins from where I live but if you find a great doctor, it's worth the drive! ^_^ read more

I came in here for an eye exam and to get my prescription. Not only were they able to squeeze in an appointment for me the same day, but it was also a super quick and painless process. The staff were super friendly and proffesional, and the doctor (not Dr. Park, but another one, although I unfortunately can't remember her name) was quick on checking my eyes and was also very helpful and caring. Definitely recommended for quick eye checkups. Now I have my prescription and I'll be able to get awesome new glasses. And I only paid $10 for the copay. Hooray! read more

This office does not even deserve one star. They have no knowledge of proper industry practice for insurance billing and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was forced to pay full price after my office visit even when I have insurance coverage. Because of insurance billing processes not being known Park requested her office staff to request I pay in full out of pocket and contact my insurance to relay how to submit a claim and call them back. I did just that and relayed the claim form number and that there is an online process to submit a claim. Rebecca in the front office said she doesn't see the form or where to navigate to so she asked me to call back with more information from the insurance company. And, that she is about to close so call back before closing which was in less than 10 minutes. At this point I am beyond frustrated that I'm be forced to do her job. I am out right pissed. All she cared about was going home on time and all the Dr cared about was getting paid. So, I told her that I'm not an insurance expert and this is not the customers job. My issue went on for months and even though an approval for insurance coverage payment was in process Dr Park still made me wait even longer for the payment to be received to obtain a refund. Never going back. If I was given the option to choose a no star rating I would. read more

Made an appointment here about 2 weeks ago because I was dissatisfied with my previous optometrist (Walmart located on Ft Apache between Tropicana and Russell). The staff at this location were professional but not the most charming. However, service was quick and efficient so no complaints here (Note: you are asked to pay upfront before seeing Dr. Park which is somewhat strange to me; maybe they had patients leave without paying in the past). Dr. Park is wonderful. She is knowledgeable and patient when it comes to contact lens evaluation ($120-140 w/o insurance depending on presence/absence of astigmatism). We tried different brands/powers and finally found the one thats best for me. I never felt rushed throughout this process which is rare nowadays. I have been wearing contacts for 10+ years and I have to admit, this is the best fit (comfort/corrected vision) I have had. There is potentially some bias here since my previous prescription from my other optometrist was bothersome all last year. But suffice to say I can see clearly now! I'll be coming back here for my annual check ups. read more

My family was in Vegas for a trip, we live in OC. My son's eye was really red and I decided to go for a check up too since mine was past due. I had a great experience with Dr. Park and staff. They squeezed me and my sons in their schedule. It turned out my son has allergies and she gave us some drops to help it with the redness. I found Dr. Park to be very knowledgeable, professional and kind, she explains what's going on with your eyes in a language you can understand. Her staff was also friendly to us. I called to schedule an appointment that day, just that when I got there I had to wait 20 min after my appointment time for a patient before me. I came to this office because my friend came here and recommended Dr Park. So I thought I'd take the brother here for a eye exam. He has been complaining about his vision. And I'm so glad I did! The front desk staff (Patty and Jackie) are great. They are very happy and such in a good mood, which got me in a good mood. Also they were very knowledgeable with my insurance. And I didn't have to pay anything for the brother exam YAY! I was very impressed by Dr. Park skills she detected Keratoconus on my brother. He is 17 year old and he has always wore glasses. He has seen different eye doctor's all his life and no one has ever told him he has Keratoconus! No wonder he always had trouble with glasses. My poor brother, but Dr Park figured it out. I normally have my eyes examined closer to home down by Blue Diamond Rd. Today I found myself shopping next door at Sams, and then Walmart. My exam was overdue, so I checked with Dr. Park about getting an eye exam. I didn't have an appointment, but the staff was very gracious about working me in between patients. I'm very happy I stopped in today. Doctor Park was friendly, professional, and most importantly very thorough with her examination today. I have been told that my eye shape can be difficult to fit for contacts. I have struggled in the past getting used to a new fit, but no such problems today. I received a prescription for both glasses and contacts IN MY HAND. Cool. Years back I went to an office that would only give you your eyeglass prescription, but not your contact lens prescription. I had to fight with them to get it. Not good. So overall a great experience today. Great pricing as well. read more

Came here for my boyfriends eye exam. I usually go to vision center summerlin, who I usually have to fight with for my prescription, so I wanted to try out someone new. My year isn't up yet for a new exam BUT he was due for one. The office is kinda small and there was black scuff marks all over their walls so it seemed dirty. He was pulled back pretty quick (5 min after finishing his paperwork), the assistant performed the prescreening tests came back out to collect the copay, Then they pulled him back again for the doctor to see him. After he was done they handed him his prescription, WAIT, WHAT?! Yes! Without fighting for it you automatically get your script so you can go about ordering your own contacts/glasses, it's really meant for you to take to the Walmart vision center but I usually order mine online (gotta love those discount codes!) Overall he liked his visit, I think it's sad that in order to NOT get dilated, you have to pay an extra $30 for the eye screen but that's what I paid at vision center. Staff was friendly and knowledgable, Dr. Park didn't seem like she had the "white coat syndrome" she greets and smiles at you outside of her exam rooms even when you're not the one giving her money lol will be coming back when my year is up! read more

This was my second visit to Dr. Romy Park. The first time was 2009, I needed an a prescription for new glasses and I was new to Las Vegas. I was impressed by her professionalism, staff and computerized lense selection machine. My second visit medicare covered the exam. Dr. Park and her staff were professional and answered all my questions. She had all my previous information on computer and let me "see" my old lense prescription and my new prescription. These reviews I suspect to be fake. My experience with Dr Romy did not leave a good impression and I would not suggest her. I will not be going back. There is a pregnant office manager who is extremely rude to customers. She doesn't greet you, let alone look up to make any eye contact, including when you approach the window to check in. She's rude on the phone and in person. She blamed me for a situation that was not my fault & instead of apologizing for her mistake, she actually tried to argue with me in front of the other waiting customers. I should have left then & there but I needed to be seen for a new prescription pretty badly. When I saw doctor Romy, things seemed okay at first. As the appointment continued, I noticed she began to talk very condescendingly towards me. She does not know what she is talking about and is also very rude so I was not surprised that she also hired an incompetent office manager. I was told to come back for a follow up, since she said my eyes had an infection which was totally undetectable to me. No symptoms whatsoever except for a blurry right eye. She refused to give me an updated prescription until my eyes were better, meaning I HAD to come back. I did not want to return but again, I just wanted to get this over with so I could get my prescription. When I did come back for my second office visit, (within 3 days), they charged me AGAIN for an office visit. I have never in my life been charged for a second office visit if I am being seen for the same thing and asked to return. I guess it is not surprising if you consider that this is a Walmart Dr and Walmart staff. It's worth it to find another option. Edit: It's also important to mention that I recently went to a more qualified optometrist and discovered that Dr Romy gave me a prescription that was 25pts BELOW my previous eye prescription. Meaning, not only did she give me a wrong prescription that wasn't powerful enough for my eyes, but she didn't bother checking my previous prescription which would have showed her that this wouldn't be strong enough for me. I did not question her at the time because I did not realize what was going on. I just knew my eyes were very blurry and since she had put me on eye drop medication for some type of inflammation, I assumed it was related. Dr Romy told me I had permanent eye damage and that I would not qualify for Lasik. I not only found her approach in talking to me to be aggravated but I knew something was off about her. I got a second opinion from an optometrist at Vision Source in Summerlin and the Dr was shocked to hear that I had been told I had permanent eye damage. He said the only thing wrong was my prescription and that I needed a stronger lens. He said he saw NO signs of permanent eye damage. Turns out Dr Romy was off with my prescription by 50pts. If you wear glasses or contacts, you realize what a huge mistake and difference that is. Don't go to her. read more
