GO TO HIGHLAND OR CHRITUS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! If I could give this place negative stars I…read morewould. Worst medical care my spouse and I have ever received. The lead ER Doctor is heartless and extremely rude to everyone, including the staff. I even asked a nurse, "is he always that rude?" And answered with a resounding "YES" and other medical staff have confirmed that he is extremely unprofessional and his bedside manner is TRASH. And this man LEADS the whole department of the ER. His name is Dr. Jacobsen. I hope if this man gets sick that no one treats him as poorly as he treats his patients. I have been to this hospital a few times. We thought "surely they cant be this terrible everytime we have an emergency" But I was completely wrong. Once I had a kidney stone and horrible pain with a migraine, and they sent me away saying it was GI issues and "just a headache". Once, I've been up there with a completely torn ACL, they called it a sprain, wrapped it and sent me home. Another time, my spouse was sent from urgent care to the ER and they said it was "just anxiety" when she ended up needing emergent care from a different hospital. She was insulted by the doctor about her mental health and it brought her to tears. We both have rare diseases that require heavy monitoring. The Willis knighton system knows nothing about rare diseases, so if you have one, again, do not go to this place. They won't do anything for you. They seem like their medical care is 20 years behind all other surrounding hospitals. The nurses and imaging staff are the only people who are nice, but they can only do what the doctors say. So in the end you get subpar medical care in the emergency room. There are good primary care doctors and specialists in the Willis knighton system, but god forbid my family have an emergency we will not be going here. And for some if could be the difference between life and death. Take care of your family, go to another hospital

When we entered we looked for a wheelchair and couldn't find one. We looked for staff to help us and everywhere was empty. After waiting for several minutes the staff finally opened a door where they were all apparently taking a break or something. There really needs to be someone at the front desk at all times especially in the ER of all places. We're still waiting to be seen so I can't review further yet but so far WK Pierremont is much better if you can make it that far. Edit: Two hours later I'm still in the waiting room. This makes 4 hours. There's no TV's. Their wifi has blocked the directv app so I can't even watch on my phone. Odd they block that but not YouTube. They need some TV's in here seriously. There's been a guy screaming in pain for the last 30 minutes and the two ladies here, one who is supposed to be at the front desk and the second in triage, are in the triage room talking to each other. Edit: Five hours now. Looking around the waiting room, because there's nothing else to look at without TV's, this place is disgusting. Having five hours to look around there's junk and hair all over the floor. The seats are all torn up. I wanted to go to the vending machine and get something to eat and drink but you can't unless you've had a covid test. Well, how about putting a vending machine in the ER waiting area people! I guess they don't want to because there's signs on the walls saying no food or drinks. This is like the purgatory of waiting rooms.
